@sunny: oh good - you get to relax some more! Yay!
I'm not sure exactly what to expect today (Sunday) in terms of activities around here. I need to get more food. It's Father's Day. My youngest is home. My eldest stayed up all night doing a virtual party/club of some kind. I had enough heat yesterday to last me through today just fine...
@Totalanimefan: I was at a craft fair yesterday with a friend... in the middle of heat advisories. It was... sticky. How was your day yesterday? Do you have plans for today? ... and yeah, I get that the texture can get a little weird with summer squash (yellow or zucchini) but that's when it's overcooked. If it's just warmed through, it tastes pretty good (but it seems like few people know how to do this).
@Totalanimefan: lol... yeah, it was a good day, even if it was "Florida summer" weather... which it's still a little too early for this level of "FL summer" yet.
It sounds like you had a productive day! :3 I'm glad.
Eat that squash!! XD
We should still be earning currency until tonight... I think. At least that's my understanding :3
@sunny: Thank you for the good wishes - I think it's going to be a fairly easy-going day today. And yeah, we only celebrate my husband today :3
@sunny: Not really. We went out to breakfast this morning and we've been hanging out at the house most of the day otherwise. We're all tired and just need a down day, so that's pretty much what we're doing....
@sunny: It was fairly relaxing, thank you. I spent a whole lot of time on the couch surfing Amazon and watching my youngest son play Call of Duty.
How was your day yesterday?
*puts out some goodies, in case anyone is still around and looking to chat*
@sunny: I'm glad you had a good day yesterday! How is today going so far?
My garden seems to be doing ok today - a couple of my sunflowers have opened... and... and!!!... I have a flower on a small pumpkin vine that I planted some time ago. But I still need to figure out what to do with (where to put) a couple rogue papayas, and my bananas look happy-ish, but they're still small. I was expecting them to be bigger by now.
@Totalanimefan: Avocado takes a lot of time to mature and bear fruit... like 10 years. It sounds like he's got enough growing to keep him busy for a while ;) The heat is getting to be too much for tomatoes right now, unless they're the subtropical cherry tomatoes.
@Totalanimefan: sounds like you have a relaxing day ahead of you :3
Yeah... it's a lot of work but totally worth it if you can get the fruit trees to fruit. The key word there is IF, though... and if you can get that far, the next question is IF you get your hard-won fruit before the critters do!
