So, it's been a while since I've been on here... I'm hoping to get back on regularly.
I got a job about two years ago and honestly, it consumed my life for a long time.
Plus my hubby is pushing me to do things other than stare at TikTok after work so there's that XD
I'm always down to chat and I was thinking about getting back into roleplaying but I haven't done that in ages so I don't know how well I would do honestly. Plus I can only post after work really, and I work 8-5 central time.
Anyways, why is this titled Awkward?
Mainly because I don't know what to post and I feel pretty awkward.

❝ @Ruby: Thank you! Life does happen more than I would like to admit xD And I work as peer support in a mental health institution. I love my job but it definitely takes a lot of my time and effort.
@Totalanimefan: I did make a thread XD And I'll keep that in mind. My job can be high-stress at times but it's pretty cool. I enjoy it a lot actually.

I know that I use to love forum sites but trying to find a balance between work and self-care had me doing easier things like face masks, watching movies, coloring, and playing video games. Social interactions just kind of drained me in the beginning but I feel like I'm in a better place now, plus I finally have a computer again which is a big help. I suck at skin routines, I know they're important but I just can't seem to find one that I'll follow through with xDThat's great to hear! I love that they're fighting to keep you! Also congratulations on getting your degree, that's no easy feat and during the pandemic too! :O That's super awesome! And I'm glad they pay more than your old job! ❞

Sunscreen, definitely need it but don't... mostly because of the smells of the ones I've tried. They all smell really bad ;A; Awww I'm glad you went back and got it ;w; that's awesome! I'm proud of you! and getting paid more is the bomb lol I wouldn't doubt if you were underpaid, unfortunately, a lot of jobs underpay for what the job actually is. Especially if they know you don't have a degree/certificate/etc. And I agree, I think that experience and work ethics should be considered. Like, give raises every now and then when someone's working really hard and doing well. ❞

I'm currently saving up for a drawing tablet for my computer xD I need to probably put more into our emergency savings... But that sounds super cool! Do y'all have a house in mind already or are y'all going to save up and kind of look at what's in the market in your range when you save up finally?

Congrats on such a great job. I love people who work for the public, especially for mental health. I can imagine there are hard days and rewarding days. o3o

I've been wanting an art tablet for a while so hubby said I should just save up for that instead of spending $100 again for a new pencil. (This is the second time it happened so it'll be the third pencil to buy ;A; ) ❞
I just came back myself! I forgot about this place too. I haven't been in here in ages. Just got busy, and withdrew from online social stuff. I've had a lot of good luck with the wacom bamboo series, but I'm not sure if they still sell it. I've had my tablet since... 2010? Or so? And it's still working.
Ah, I haven't thought of the Wacom series in a while. It's always pretty amazing what that company comes up with and how long they've lasted. Plus, they can make it really accessible to make art or edit online. I had this tablet from a Chinese company that was similar to a Surface Pro. //laughs hysterically What a trip that device was!

She said I didn't need to apologize because it was a stressful situation and I explained it triggered my fight or flight and I chose flight xD Oooooh you have to take some pictures for me! I live in a desert area ;n; I don't get to see pretty stuff unless I travel. But I hear there is a lot to do in D.C. area, I'm interested in going for the museums and stuff ;u; I love museums!
I think it's because I have like the first gen ipad to support the pencil, it's pretty old, so I think it's a connective issue or something. I just don't really have the patience to sit on customer support line if I'm being honest.

I do draw, but I used to draw waaayyy more than I do now. I'm getting back into character illustrations rn tho! And sewing haha. I hope your new table, when ya get one, is everything you wanted. But thank you ;u; I'm excited but I'm still researching. xD ❞@MimikyuToo: Like if I needed support, I was on my own. It lasted quite a while and came in hand several times as a computer tablet. This was just ahead of when tablets started to become more widely popular. That being said, apple is supposed to have some pretty great customer support with their products from what I was led to understand. Although, to be fair, the also like to stop supporting older devices all the time so it kind of evens out.
I tend to prefer writing directly on the screen rather than with a separate tablet. Plus, taking notes can be a little bit cumbersome if I have to haul along another separate device.
