"That sucks." Aedan commented with a light sigh.

"It'd be better if there was something that could help." She added before pausing a moment as she turned another corner.

". . . Why did the witches target you for that, anyway?" She asked, her voice curious. "Because ... well, I know you aren't human. No one that works with Sharp is."

Al froze for a moment, fear in his eyes, before it quickly vanished and he sighed lightly.

"Ok, fair point." he said.

"And something to help?" he asked.

"Well, food and drink might help, actually." he told her.

"You know, sustenance to strengthen the body and help the essence get back into place." he reasoned.

"And why? Probably because they caught me snooping." he explained. "Plus, they said my 'energy' would 'suit their needs', whatever that means." he added.

Aedan paused a moment, but nodded.

"Food and drink it is." She said as she swung into a drive through.

"I got plenty of cash while here, whatcha want?" She asked.

"Sharp covers all expenses, which is awesome." She added with a laugh before makin' her order. Once that was done, and it was probably more than he would have expected someone her size to eat, she looked to Al to see what he wanted.

Al raised an eyebrow when she made her order, but didn't say anything.

"I am bloody famished." he commented.

"Gimme a Big Dog meal, chili-fy the fries, and upsize it, with Pepsi to drink, and a Mount Meat Burger meal, upsized spicy fries, with Root Beer to drink on that one." he said further.

"And yeah, Sharp's great for that." he went on.

"The budget he gets is pretty darn sweet."

Aedan nodded before relaying it all. After all was said and done, they had the food and she passed it over to him before pullin' out of the lane and onto the road.

"At least we aren't far." She added. "Also, feel free to devour yours before we get there, I don't care." She added with a laugh.

"Just paws off the pickle fries."

"I don't trust myself to handle food in a moving vehicle right now." Al admitted.

"And pickle fries ARE damn tasty." he went on.

"I would've gotten, but they're a bit too vinegary for me right now." he continued.

"By the way, that was quite the order for yourself." he went on.

"Is that how you usually eat? Because your figure would tell otherwise." he added.

Aedan just laughed.

"Especially from there." She said.

"And yeah, I eat a lock. Tends to happen when you're what I am. But it's more because it's a thing I just like to do, and less that I actually need to." She added.

"But that's just a fact of life for me."

"....I see." Al replied.

"Yeah, there IS something different about you that I sense." he admitted.

"But hey, that is none of my business." he went on.

"And to each their own." he said further.

"Regardless, thanks." he continued.

"This should REALLY help."

"Good." Aedan said. "The least I can do is help."

"And I have no issue sharing what I am. I'm a zombie." She added honestly.

"Considering the fact that you'd likely ask later anyway. I'm covered in scars, and am ridiculously pale under all this make up." She then said with a laugh as she pulled into a large parking lot. They'd arrived at their destination.

"A... zombie?" Al asked.

"I.... huh." he said.

"I've never actually... met one before." he told her.

"So... huh. Cool." he went on.

"I thought zombies were... well... not supposed to be a thing." he continued, before pausing. "And by that, I thought they were created, but the creation process was illegal." he clarified.

"Or... is that the case, and someone didn't give a crap?" he asked.

Aedan just laughed.

"Actually," she started as she climbed out of the car and closed the door, p"It's more a case of I'm older than that law." S

"Seriously." She added. "I was... born and then created? Before that law came into being. I'm part of the reason why it idid." She added. "And beyond that, my figure is because I died and then was rezzed when I was 17."

"Well, that makes sense." he said.

"Fair enough." he went on.

He then stretched out, and groaned as he did so.

"Urgh..." he groaned.

"Feels good to actually be outside again."

Aedan looked over to him, her expression curious.

"How long were you stuck in there?" She asked after a moment.

"Because ... one wouldn't think it was that long. Although Sharp did say that he hadn't heard from you for about half a week." She added after a moment before shrugging.

"Anyway, let's go." She then said before grabbing some of the food - there was too much for just one person to take - and started making her way inside to head up to the room.

"Yeah, half a week." he replied.

"But I was thrown into cramped quarters while strictly bound." he told her.

"They only unbound me when the rune had been created. And then I couldn't even move properly." he said further.

"So... not TOO long, but it was... 'quality'..." he growled.

He then grabbed the rest of the food, and followed her inside.

Aedan sighed.

"Ugh, that can't have been fun." She commented.

"Like... seriously. Damn. At least you're free... and not dead." She added with a light laugh as she led him up a flight of stairs before going down a hall. It didn't take long before they reached the room she was in.

"Like... seriously. Damn." She added, opening the door.

"I hate being in situations like that. AT least I'm hard to kill." She then said with a laugh as they made their way in.

"My Dad always said it was because I was too tenacious to know what the hell death was."

Al just chuckled a little at her last statement.

"Heh, fair enough." he said.

"But yeah, it was... not fun." he told her.

"To... understate it." he continued.

"And being hard to kill is quite the asset in the Unit." he said further.

"I'll bet you've been through... a lot." he muttered.

"To say the least." Aedan agreed with a light shake of her head.

"Ever been to any of the European branches?" She asked after a moment.

"Because if you haven't, trust me. It can be absolutely savage."?

Al shook his head.

"No. I haven't." he told her.

"But I have seen... a lot." he muttered.

"I've seen brutality and savagery, and even worse." he sighed.

"Things that would cause most to go insane." he told her further.

"But such things I'd rather not discuss."

"Makes sense." Aedan commented as she sat on the couch that was in the room.

"Who wants to be on topics of the sort?" She asked with a light laugh. AS she spoke she grabbed her phone and made a call, putting it on speaker.

"Got 'im." She said simply.

"We're back at the Inn for the moment." She added before looking to her companion.

"You might as well say hi to Sharp, that way he knows I'm not fuckin' around."
