"That depends. Would you prefer I came back, since my task was originally just to find out what's going on with your informnt, or should I stick around here to help him out with the witches before they turn into even more of an issue." Aedan answered before taking a drink of what she'd gotten.

"Because seriously. I'm durable, I can definitely help him out. It depends on if you want us to try."

"Do whatever you feel is right." Sharp replied.

"You're in charge, Aedan." he told her.

"As the most senior member of the Unit, you have the authority to stop this now, press further on, or whatever you desire." he said further.

"I have faith in you." he went on.

"BOTH of you."

Aedan paused a moment.

"Doubt that. Ty's older than I am." She commented. "I... think.......... Whatever. We'll talk it out then get back to you. Ciao." She said to Sharp. After all was said and done, she hung up and sighed.

"All right. Do you have a preference?" She asked as she grabbed a fry and munched on it.

Al was silent for a moment.

"Uh... well... hm." he said.

"It's been my understanding that these witches need to be stopped. Sooner, rather than later." he told her.

"So... it won't take me too long to recover, so I can help." he went on.

"Also, Sharp may have meant that you're the most senior member HERE." he continued.

"After all, I AM fairly new..." he admitted quietly.

"I dunno. His wording was kinda ambiguous for that." Aedan commented with a shrug.

"We'll sit and let you recover first though." She added. "Because damn. You look a bit of a mess still." she motioned to the mirror on the wall behind him.

Al looked over towards the mirror, and, regarding his own reflection, sighed.

"Yeah. I do." he agreed.

"I should take a shower soon." he said.

"Odds are I really stink." he went on, before grabbing one of his fries and eating it.

"...after I finish this." he muttered.

"My stomach's craving this."

'No rush." Aedan commented.

"I don't really have a sense of smell, so I wouldn't know." She added with a light laugh.

"Beyond that, do what you need to."

"Thank you." Al responded.

"For understanding, that is." he said.

"And being so patient." he added.

He then continued to eat, pausing to speak only after finishing one of the meals he'd ordered.

"So how did you come to work for the Unit?" he asked her.

Aedan looked to him before pausing as she devoured another one of the pickle fries.

"I was found." She started, "found by the one who was running the Romanian branch at the time, and taken in."

"When I was taken in though, I was 14, and could barely manage anything on my own, considering the fact that I was dead." She added with a shrug.

"He helped me with asylum, and I ended up working for him shortly after once it was found out what a perk me being a zombie really can be." She paused here before eating another pickly fry.

"What about you?"

Al was silent for a moment.

"Well... I was... essentially... kicked out of my home." he told her.

"Sharp discovered me while he was on vacation." he said further.

"And... well, the rest is history, I suppose." he went on.

"I live in this town, and it seemed like I was the perfect operative for missions or cases that happened here." he added with a small shrug.

Aedan nodded.

"I haven't spoken to Sharp much, admittedly." She admitted, "But he does seem like a pretty chill guy."

"It's actually rather surprising, given what I've heard he is." She added before pausing a moment.

"And on that note, wanna share what you are? If not it's fine, I'm merely curious. You know what I am, so I thought I'd ask." She then said. "Trust me, I don't care. I'm not gonna say you have to share or anything, I'm just curious. You seem like you can blend into the public pretty damned well regardless."

Al seemed to freeze up completely when Aedan said what she did.

"I..." he stammered.

"Ah... I..." he stuttered further.

"I am who I am." he said.

"That's all." he told her.

"Please don't try and dig any deeper." he asked her.

"....please?"

AEdan just laughed.

"Someone that isn't comfortable with what they are, huh?" She asked.

"I won't pry, don't worry. I know you're not human though." She added. "How can I not not know that? I can just get a feel for the lives of people."

Al just looked away for a moment.

"Mm." he mumbled.

"Fair enough..." he said.

"I shouldn't be surprised." he went on.

"How can you tell?" he then asked her.

"Is that a zombie thing?"

'I have no life essence," Aedan started, "so it stands to reason that I can sense what I don't have within other people."

"Kinda sucks, to be constantly reminded of what I lack." She admitted.

"But it's life... or unlife in my case."

"....I see." Al replied.

"That's... yeah... that does suck." he agreed.

"But at least you seem to have a good attitude." he went on.

"Anyway..." he muttered further, as he finished one of the drinks he had.

"After I finish the second meal, I'm going to soak in the bathroom." he told her.

"May... take my time." he then warned.

Aedan nodded.

"Sounds good." She said betwen bites.

"I'm going to go and wash my face first." She said with a light laugh before getting to her fet and heading toward the bathroom to do as she said.

"I won't take long." She added, mere moments before he heard water running. About ten minutes later, she left the bathroom, looking far paler and more dead than she had before.

Al looked over towards her, and blinked a few times.

"Wow." he said.

"Makeup is amazing." he commented.

"You look much different without it." he said further.

"Not that that's a bad thing." he then clarified.

"Just... me stating the obvious, I suppose..."

Aedan laughed as he said what he did.

"Yup. Makeup is amazing. It's the only way I can be out in public." She commented.

"I mean come on. I'm cold to the touch, and look like death. People would avoid me like the plague like this." She added with a shrug.

"Not... not that it'd be all that horrible."
