So, I stayed up an extra hour to finish off Lucifer and I must that the bonus episodes were a bit disappointing.
I did enjoy 'Boo Normal', it totally made me want to see more of Azreal, she's flippin' awesome but 'Once Upon a Time' was just an unnecessary gimmick and neither episode followed up the original cliffhanger other than Chloe's mild comment to Ella that she's seen much crazier things (than that Ella has a ghost friend).
I wanted to see Chloe's relationship with Lucifer after seeing that his 'Metaphors' are in fact the naked truth. I wanna know how she's coping.
There is some suggestion in Lucifer's having spent most of 'Boo Normal' with Dan but that's not nearly enough. I wanna see Chloe and Lucifer talk it out.
Unfortunately those bonus episodes are just what they had finished, so they weren't the first episodes of season 4. So honestly Once Upon A Time might've needed more context from surrounding episodes. Boo Normal, did make me want to see more of Azreal. She was so dorky and cute.
Ah. I see. I'd read that the bonus episodes came from what had been started of season 4 but I hadn't considered that they weren't meant to be season's opening.
So frustrating!
It's very frustrating, because all it did was make me want season four all the more. But yeah, they weren't the openers. Boo Normal might've been like episode 2 or so, definitely an early into the season episode.
I concur, the bonus episodes didn't satisfy anything.
They still left us with a significant cliffhanger.
