Kiah rolled her eyes.

"WIll do." She said before hanging up and looking to Ilias.

"Come on. I've been asked to show you to the dorm you'll be using." She told him as she got to her feet, grateful that Sharp had told her where they were. She had the choice for which he'd get, but that wasn't anything too crucial, really.

"Once you're good to go, we'll head out."

- - - -All right, she is finished. You may speak again.

Illias just nodded.

"All right." he replied.

"I'm good." he said.

"The papers have been filled out, so... yeah, that's all, right?" he asked.

There was still fear and hesitation in his tone, but Kiah could feel something else. Shame? Guilt? Sadness? There was something else to him now.

"It so, let's be off."

Kiah nodded before stepping out o fthe room, with him following. Once Ilias was out, she closed and locked the door and headed off, figuring he'd follow.

They were walking through the halls for about ten minutes before they reached a smaller hall, that was notably longer.

"All right, if you weren't paying atteniotn to where we were going, there are maps in every dorm." She told him as they walked down the hall.

"And it will clearly outline where you are, and where the main locations are - library, lab, entrances/exits, cafeteria and Sharps' office." She told him before pausing. "Oh, and the legal department as well."

"I think that's it..." she paused again to think about it before shrugging.

"Anyway, there are a few dorms available. What kind of neighbour do you want?"

Illias nodded in response.

"I've been paying attention." he said.

"I have a good handle on things now, as far as layout goes." he told her.

"And... what kind of neighbour...?" he asked, thinking about it.

"Uh.... hm." he mumbled.

"Well, is noise a factor?" he asked.

"Or... actually, nevermind. Is the lab open 24/7?" he then asked her. "I'm the sort that can get restless, and I'll go and work on calculations and formulae and such if I get bored. Even in the middle of the night." he told her.

"So... I guess any neighbour, as long as they don't mind living next to someone with the capabilities of turning them into a statue."

"If Aedan was here, I'd put you next to her..." Kiah commented before pausing and snapping her fingers.

"Ah! How about nex tto a demon?" She asked.

"He's pretty chill, and I honestly doubt you could stone him, as well." She added.

"If that works, I can take you to the dorm in question."

"A demon?" Illias asked.

"I mean, sure." he said.

"That can work." he told her.

He then thought for a moment, and nodded.

"Yeah, it works." he said.

With that, they started to walk, and Illias seemed to be thinking about something.

"So IS the lab open 24/7?" he asked.

Kiah paused a moment.

"It generall is." She answered.

"Not always though. If there's no one available, it's usually closed and locked." She told him honestly.

"But there's almost always someone in there, and it's usually m.e" She added with a laugh as they turned down another hall. After a bit of walking, they found themselves in front of a door.

"Here ya go." She said, holding a key out to him.

"And this is something that will mold to this lock once you slide it in."

"Really?" Illias asked, accepting the key.

He then put the key to the lock, and sure enough, it did as she said it would.

"...woah." he muttered

"That is amazing." he commented.

"A wonder of mana and technology." he said further, before biting his lip slightly.

"Hey." he said.

"Sorry." he apologized.

"You're not Rowena. I shouldn't act like you are."

Kiah just shrugged.

"Hey, doesn't matter." She then said. "Everyone has their prejudices, everyone has things they are scared of, and honestly? I have no idea why you're suddenly saying that anyway."

"I may not be my Aunt, but that doesn't mean I can't create the rune myself. For all you know, I'm going to seal you in your sleep. DOn't let your guard down unnecessarily." She added.

'Now, is there anything else? Sharp was saying he wished to speak with me."

Illias was silent and stiff when she said all that.

"Ah... I, uh... r-right." he muttered.

"N-no, there's nothing else." he told her.

"I'll just... get myself settled in." he said further, shaking his head some.

"See you later." he told her further.

"Like, in the lab, and... stuff." he finished.

Kiah nodded.

"Of course." She said with a wave.

She leaned against the wall as she looked around. She had no idea what it was that she was to make of all this, for what was to come next. All she did know was that she knew she'd have to do something, if only just because of the fact that she didn't have the most control sometimes.

There was a high chance of things to go her way, she knew.

But it depended on if anyone would be worthwhile.

I do need more money... I'm running low. Who should treat me to dinner, I wonder. She thought as she scanned the people walking by her.

As she was scanning, she saw a target. One that looked prime.

He looked like a male in his mid-30's, brown skin, bald head, dark sunglasses, and he was dressed in quite nice business attire... though it was more business-casual.

He also looked to be easy-going, and alone.

Which was to say, like he didn't have anyone with him.

He then stopped at a restaurant that had their menu posted beside their door, and seemed to be studying it, looking for something in specific.

Like he was considering eating there.

. . . That may be my meal for today, at least. She though before sighing and approaching. She really didn't want to do this, but she knew that there wasn't anything that she could do to avoid it.

She really did need to eat, and beyond that, she really did need to turn around and get some funding as well.

"Hey! Have you ever eaten here before?" She asked as she approached, wondering if she could grab him, so to speak. She knew that there was a good chance that there was something that could go wrong, considering the fact that she needed cash. She needed a source of it.

Just as she approached, and asked her question, she felt her hold extending.

And when the man turned around, she felt it grow stronger.

"...yeah." he replied. "I have." he told her.

"Food here's pretty damn good." he said.

"And the price is just right." he then added.

"Why? You thinking of giving them your business?" he asked her, as she felt her influence take a good solid hold.

She smirked internally, but kept an almost quixxical expression on her face as she leaned in to check the menu that was posted outside herself.

"Possibly." She answered honestly.

"The price point is a bit higher than I can comfortably afford though." She added with a light sigh.

"So I may have to come back later, when I can actually afford it."

"Hm." the man mumbled.

"I... I see." he said.

"Well... tell you what..." he then mumbled further, pausing for a moment.

"Why don't I show you just how good their food is?" he asked.

"That way you'll know it's worth it, so the price point doesn't seem so steep." he reasoned.

That's when she knew.

She'd snagged him.

"Thank you." She added, sounding appropriately appreciative.

"Although... what shall I call you?" She then asked, her voice curious.

"Come on, then." he said, as they stepped inside.

Once there, they were seated, and given menus.

"Care for a drink?" the server asked.

"Go ahead. Money's no object." Hal told Roxie, before looking at the server.

"Long Island Iced Tea." he told them. "And a ginger ale as well." he finished, before looking at the menu.

"And for you?" the server asked Roxie.
