Levi was silent for a moment, before nodding.
"Sure thing." he said.
"I can do that." he told her.
"Sounds like it'd be a good idea, overall, too." he said further.
"Anyway, thanks for hearing me out." he went on.
"This is just weirding me out to no end."

"Don't worry about it, happy to help." She assured him.
"It is odd, so I'm happy to bhave been able to listen to your concerns... because even I'm puzzling over this." She admitted.
"But I've got resources I can inquire with that you can't, so hopefully I'll have some info for you soon."

I miss you more than you can ever know.
I miss you more than you can ever know.
"I hope so, too." Levi replied.
He then jolted up, and looked around.
"There!" he exclaimed.
"Did you hear that!?" he asked her.
"I just heard something! Something behind me!" he told her.
Of course, what was behind him... was a wall. She saw nothing, and had heard nothing.

"Nothing, Levi." She said.
"I'm gonna ask around, maybe find the cause of this. It could be the blockers reacting weirdly, or something reaching through the cracks, I don't know." She added.
"But I will ask, and I will find out whatever I can."

"Okay then, thanks." Levi replied.
"I hope you find something." he told her.
"I... need help. I need to find out what's going on." he said.
"And I hope this is just some small thing. Like... the blockers just being weird or whatever." he went on.
"Or if this is something else, how to block THEM. If I even CAN." he then added.
"It's really starting to interfere with school and sleep." he lamented.

"In the meantime, get a book, keep a record of this." She added. "You can't speak it, but maybe you can write it." She added.

I'm gonna go ask around. I'll check in later."

Levi thought for a moment, and nodded.
"All right." he said.
"I'll do that." he told her.
He then looked around, before starting to dig through one of his drawers.
"I know I have an unused journal in here somewhere..." he mumbled.
"Should be perfect for this."

"Try to keep your head calm while I'm looking for information, hey?"- Madison asked. After he'd agreed, she vanished from where she was,. out of sight now. Once that was done, she sighed and made he rway to where Gregory was.
". . . Levi may have problems." She told him as she approached, not sre what to make of it.
"You may be on to something with him, with something over our shoulders."

Gregory looked over at Madison when she said what she did.
"...you know... I really didn't want to hear something like that." he told her.
"That's usually bad news." he said.
"But... all right, fine." he sighed.
"What do you mean?" he asked her. "What new info has come to light?"

"................" Gregory was silent for a moment.
"Right, NOW this is sounding alarmingly familiar." he said.
"So he can't say any of the words? Literally?" he asked. "He literally chokes up?" he asked further.
Madison just nodded.
"That is alarming." he commented.
"Something like that is... not normal."

"No, this wouldn't be in his own head." Gregory agreed.
"A conduit's mana seems to stop that from happening." he said.
"...which means something is DEFINITELY wrong... and certainly somewhat familiar..." he then muttered.
"I just wish I could remember why this sounds so familiar to me." he said further.
"Like, I get the feeling this has happened in the past..." he went on.
"And it didn't end well..."

"Regardless, I'm going to go and see if I can find anything." She said.

"Go on." Gregory told her.
"We need to scrape up any information we can." he said.
"Hmmmmmmmmm..." he then mumbled, seeming to get lost in thought.
"Maybe I should look at the book." he told himself.
"See if I can glean any info from it." he added, making the big book of the dead appear before him.

"I'm going to go ask around with a couple people I know." She said before waving,a nd heading off, leaving him to check the book himself.
There was no way for her to even try to glean an idea of what was to come, but she knew that she had to try and figure it out. Before Levi did something horrible.

Gregory looked at the large book, and placed his hands on the pages.
"Time to scan." he said.
"Dead conduits, and see if I can't talk to any of them." he went on.
"See if I can't get any useful info." he mumbled further.
He then just sighed, and drummed his fingers lightly.
"I still get this ominous feeling of impending chaos..." he said to himself.
-A little over a week later-
Levi was trapped deep within the throes of a nightmare. A bad one. He was sweating heavily, and tossing and turning, while his teeth clenched together.
Suddenly, his eyes shot wide open, and he rose to a sitting position, his mouth opening, and a bloodcurdling scream of sheer terror rang through the house.

There was silence, it hung in the air and the scream echoed within it. A matter of about ten seconds later, Alyl burst into the room.
"Levi! ARe you all right?" She asked, concern in her voice, her face, as she flicked the light on.
"That scream tore through the air far better than I think you realise.... are you all right?" She asked, looking around, hoping that it wasn't a case of someone having broken in.

Levi was breathing heavily for a few moments, before he shook his head.
"I... the shadows." he said.
"The shadows were consuming me. Closing in on me." he told her.
"Eyes... frightening eyes everywhere." he went on.
"So many noises and voices. But... but they... they kept saying something." he then said.
"One thing... over and over again..." he went on, as Ally's demon raised an eyebrow.
".........hm?" he mumbled.

"What were they saying, Levi?" She asked after a moment, almost scared of the answer.
"What's going on?" She asked. There was concern in her voice, more than he'd ever heard from her before.
