"......." Jaden was silent as he witnessed the scene.

"Uhhhhh..." he mumbled.

"....Anna....?" he asked quietly.

"STAY AWAY!" the other figure screamed.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" they yelled further.

"....I somehow get the feeling he deserves this..." Jaden muttered, sniffing the air.

"Smells fishy."

Jaden raised an eyebrow, before sighing.

"Hey." he said.

"Anna, look, it's clear to see that this guy deserves whatever it is you plan to do to him." he told her.

"But come on, let's not get the Triad riled up again." he went on.

"Don't draw it out TOO long, hey?" he suggested.

"I mean, he's just an idiot that thought himself better than he is, yeah?"

"Ah, ah, AH!" the figure exclaimed, as he tried to cower away from the vines.

"ANNA!" Jaden shouted, as he rushed up to her.

"Ok, seriously! Quit it!" he told her.

"Just do the deed and get it over with!" he exclaimed, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"RUN!" the figure screamed at him.

"Run, or she'll kill YOU, too!"

"No! No, no, NO!" Anna's former aggressor screamed.

"NO! STOP! PLEASE!" he yelled, as Jaden looked at the vine crawling up his leg.

"...Anna, come ON!" he said, turning the draydin to face him.

"Just finish the job and let's scram!" he told her.

"You don't want the Triad on your ass again!"

"................ohhhhhhhh hell." Jaden mumbled.

"This isn't good." he said.

"...." he was then silent, as he bit his lip slightly.

'....her mana is out of control... it's stronger than she is right now.' he thought.

'...I've heard that vampires with mana in them can do this... but can I, as a dhampir with mana do it?' he wondered, slowly opening his mouth.

'Only one way to find out.' he finished, before plunging his fangs into Anna... and attempting to drain some of her mana out.

"Great." Jaden said.

"Awesome." he muttered.

"Gonna need to clean this up later." he mumbled further.

"And outta here." he finished, before he disappeared into a hole in the floor, appearing in Anna's room. He then laid her down on her bed, and sighed.

"....." he was silent, before grabbing his phone, and calling his mom.

"Mom, we may have issues." he said.

"Can you come to my place?" he asked.

"ASAP." Jaden replied.

"Now, if possible." he said.

"Like, seriously. The sooner you can get here, the better." he went on.

"It involves Anna." he said further.

"And an attack. That's all I'll say over the phone."

Jaden just sighed as Sydney asked her question.

"...well..." he muttered, taking a small breath and letting it out.

He then explained how Anna had gone missing. How he went to look for her, how he'd found her, the door, and what he'd witnessed when he barged in... as well as what happened afterwards.

"It was... nuts, to say the least." he told her.

"But... seriously, is there gonna be a heap of trouble here?" he asked.

"....a defence mechanism?" Jaden asked.

"Uh... I see." he said.

"Errrrr..... hm." he mumbled.

"Right. I see." he said further, looking at Anna again, before looking back at his mother.

"Did I screw up?" he asked her.

"Like, are there gonna be dire consequences here?"

Jaden just sighed and gave her the address of the place he went to.

"Guess there are still lantha out there." he said.

"Grudge-bearing lantha." he muttered.

"Guess it's a good thing I showed up when I did, or Anna may have gone berserk on... well... anyone and anything in her path." he then said further.

"Anything I should know for when she wakes?" he asked her.

"Should I have anything ready or prepared?"
