Allen frowned at the man's words. "What is with you people? Why can't you go after the feral vampires?" He hissed, getting easily agitated by this man. He wouldn't let this man take Kaneko, or harm her. Allen continued to stand his ground when Kaneko spoke up and focused on his voice. If he focused enough, he could faintly see the outlines of things with a heat signature. It took a lot though. Then he heard the click of a gun being loaded. If he moved.. How did he know this man wouldn't just shoot Kaneko instead? The first thing Allen did was swiftly move and pick Kaneko up princess style, then ran, ducking out of the way of the man's gun. "Hold on to me, Kaneko." He said to her calmly as he ran in the direction of the lake. Allen could smell the water just enough to follow it. Now he only hoped he was fast enough to keep out of the man's sight. If not, maybe he'd have a chance to hide her.
and that's just what he did. He reached the lake before the man and hid Kaneko somewhere the man would really have to look for her. "Stay here, and don't move. Please? I won't let him beat me so easily. " He said quietly, really hoping she'd just listen to him. He wanted to protect her. Granted, he was being a bit selfish.. But wasn't that sort of to be expected? He kissed her forehead and walked away, peaceful waiting for the other guy.

"For your information, we do. But we like to go after all vampires. We like to be even. We don't have a favorite kind that we allow to wander and live. No, that wouldn't be right. We'd be putting innocent people in danger if we did that." He said and smirked. "Aww, is the little leech getting angry now? Can't handle to hear the truth?" The man asked. The moment Allen moved, the man shot at Allen but missed. Now he had to be careful, he didn't want to accidentally shoot Kaneko. He cursed under his breath and started to chase after the vampire. Kaneko shook in Allen's arms but she didn't know if it was from the cold or from fear. She held on tightly to him so she wouldn't fall, but she didn't know what he was planning on doing, and she didn't like the idea of leaving him alone. What if he got hurt? Or worse? She needed to be there to protect him too. Looking over his shoulder behind them, she didn't see the man right away. Maybe they had managed to get away?
"Allen w-what are you-" Kaneko couldn't finish her question. Instead she nodded and remained still right where he left her. The kiss on the forehead did little to comfort her nerves. All she could do was wait and hope that he would be okay.
"Where did you go coward?" The man's voice echoed in the woods as he continued to search for him. Now he didn't see the vampire or Kaneko anywhere. This was bad. At least he was armed. He kept walking until he reached a large lake. He saw footprints on the ground but they sort of vanished from here. Looking around, he aimed his gun, thinking he saw some movement and shot in the direction he saw it. However, he missed and the bullet grazed a tree instead. "I see you, where did you hide Miss Boa!" He ordered, taking aim again.

Allen felt bad for leaving her.. But he had to. What if he went feral again? He didn't want to put her in that kind of danger. Not would be let this man take her back to her previous home where her father could spy on her. Hearing the second gunshot he ducked and just stood by the lake. Didn't play favorites.. Then why was that man still hunting him? Well, he wasn't really.. He was tracking his daughter. But, if this man was allowed to return, here know that Allen had survived two attacks by him. "Ferals cause more deaths and damage then other vampires. Other vampires try to stay hidden, but you people hunt them down like sheep for slaughter. The only coward here is someone like you." Allen voiced calmly. He ducked down once more when he heard the gun click and dashed to the side to avoid the bullet. "Like I'd tell you." He said, coming up behind him and kicking the gun out of his hand.
The man listened to Allen, this was true yes. "What you say is true, I'm not going to say it isn't. Of course you'll see it your way, and we will see it our way. You're not human, you wouldn't understand why we do what we do. You all hunt as well, not just us. You kill people, we kill the killers." The man countered, keeping his eyes on Allen only to lose him again. Damn, he was fast! If he could kill him, he could focus on looking for Kaneko and bringing her home as he was instructed to do. Allen wasn't the priority here, but he had just become it now. The man was getting frustrated with this game of cat and mouse. Where had he run off to now? "Oh, I'm a coward am I?" He asked and smirked. "Says the leech who keeps hiding!" Just then, he felt the gun be kicked from his hand, causing it to fall to the floor a bit far from where they were. Swiftly, he turned to land a punch on Allen's face. "You don't want to tell me? Fine. When I'm done with you, I'll look for her myself and when I find her, I'll drag her back to my car by her hair if I have to!" The man yelled, clearly angry now.
"You do it to keep the humans safe, right? Not being human doesn't make a damn bit of difference if you aren't doing anything wrong! Some of us have something to protect." Allen spoke, doing his very best to keep a level head. Hunters could be very tricky to deal with. It wasn't like he wanted to kill him.. He might not have a choice though. "I hunt animals, as well as the other in hiding, we've never killed our prey either!" Allen said, not sure why he was trying to reason with this man. He raised his arms to shield his face from the man's punch and backed off. Only his arm got hit. He had gotten the gun away from him. . What now? Where had the gun gone? He was no coward, Allen knew that.
He did tense when the man yelled terrible things, and bared his fangs some. "I won't let you touch her!" He hissed, before going to kick him under his chin.

"I doubt you have anything to protect except yourself. I was told you were all alone. You have no one protecting you, no one to defend you right now. You can't even see right? You're the blind one. The one at a disadvantage here. Not me." The man said, glancing towards the gun. The smooth surface glistening whenever some light hit it. He shook his hand and cracked his knuckles, his eyes on Allen now. "We do this, to keep families safe. You may hunt animals for now leech, but soon enough you're going to want more, you're going to give in to your instincts. It's best to get rid of you now before you do." Kaneko dug her fingernails into the palms of her hands, trying to keep herself from shaking. She had heard gunshots but now she heard nothing. Part of her wanted to go see what happened but she also just wanted to trust Allen and wait here instead.
The man's eyes went wide when Allen suddenly launched at him and kicked him, causing him to fall over in pain. He laughed though, "Oh my, seems like we struck a nerve. Relax. I said I'd take her home, I didn't even tell you what I'd do to her afterwards. Though if you want her so bad, I'll be sure to kill her when I'm done with her and then I'll tell her father it was your doing. He won't ever know." The man said scrambling over to get the gun again. "I will do whatever I want with her and you won't be around to stop me." The man said with a sickening grin. His hand grabbed the cold handle of the gun and quickly he aimed at Allen and shot at him again.

Allen frowned at the words he spoke about being all alone. That wasn't true! He had Kaneko.. Even if no one was around to protect him, he had everything he could've hoped for. This man was no different than her father! By now, he could faintly see the man's outline and smirked. "Actually.. I can see you, devil." He murmured quietly. He had focused enough on his voice and scent to manage this, but he wondered why it was possible. Allen froze when he went on about giving into his instincts and wanting more than animal blood. He remembered what his master had told him before he lost control of himself, and bared his fangs once more. "Bastard.. You don't know anything! You people are all the same! I won't let hurt her, or take her! Not when she's happy..." That had done it.
Allen went to attack him once more, failing to hear the click from the gun and paused briefly. He slowly brought his hand up to where he had been shot and grit his teeth, allowing his fangs to poke his lower lip. "It'll take..a lot more than that..to kill me!" He hissed, before swiftly moving to pin the man while he was down, so that he couldn't use his gun again. His milky eyes seemingly having a glow to them. "I didn't want to kill you.. You shall be the first human I ever attacked, because you left me no choice.." He murmured quietly before painfully forcing his fangs into the man's neck and allowing his venom to enter his blood. Just like a snake. He pulled back and got off of the man only to fall to his knees. His coat beginning to stain with red.

When Allen said that he could see him, the man rolled his eyes. Clearly Allen was trying to scare him, well it wasn't working. He knew Allen couldn't see, Kaneko's father had told him this before sending him off on his way. "It's not for you to choose bloodsucker. Her father already said I'm to bring her home and keep an eye on her, and that's exactly what I plan on doing. She's a pretty little thing, shame you can't truly see her." He said with a sick laugh. "She's happy? She looked more scared than anything when I saw her. Stop lying to yourself and stop trying to make this more difficult than it has to be. So just stay still so that we can get this over with okay?"
The man smirked, glad he had managed to wound the vampire this time. "Oh don't you worry about that, I have plenty more where that came from." He assured, clicking the gun again and aiming for Allen's head this time. His plan was ended though when Allen moved quickly and kept him pinned down on the ground, preventing the man from shooting. "You kill me, and you'll prove me right. That you are a monster." The man warned, fear in his voice. This was not how it was supposed to go! The man screamed in fear and pain when he felt Allen's fangs sink into his neck.
Kaneko heard the gunshot and then the scream. She couldn't just stay there anymore. She had to see if Allen was okay! "Allen!" She called out and quickly started running in the direction of the screams. There he was, he was hurt and the man lay on the ground motionless. Was he really dead? Had Allen killed him? Surely it was an accident right? "A-allen?" Her voice wavered a bit as she got closer and saw the blood on his coat. "Oh my god, Allen!" Kaneko was quick to help him up again and looked at the stain. It wasn't huge, but it still had to be checked. "Come on, we need to get you to the hospital." She whispered, sniffling some. She shouldn't have stayed there, she should have protected Allen but instead he got hurt because of her again.

A monster he said.. He wasnt like that.. Right? Was he.. What did he do? Allen brought his hands to his head. "I.. Killed.. Him.." He murmured , while trying not choke on the words, when he heard Kaneko. He smelled blood, his blood. But.. He killed a man..and he was very unstable about it. He actually killed a human man. "Kaneko.. Don't..." Allen murmured. Pain was nothing right now. What if he hurt her in his current mindset?
It wasn't hard to tell that Allen was having a difficult time with this. Kaneko's dark eyes drifted to the body of the man sent to take her home. Would her father keep sending people? Or would he finally realize that he had to let her live her own life however she wanted? "Allen..please let me help you. Let me get you to the hospital or..w-we can get back home and I can try to take care of you myself if you don't want to go to a hospital. It's okay. W-we'll do whatever you want. Just please, let's get you patched up...please." She bargained with him. How hard could it be to extract a bullet right?
Allen was quiet a moment while he listened to her soothing words. He lightly nodded his head and slowly lowered his hands by his side. Where was the closest hospital anyway? She didn't have a phone anymore.. And he wasn't sure if she knew how to extract bullets. Where did it hit him? "Home.. I might be able to..extract it myself.. If you can patch it.. I'll be fine.." He said to her, slowly calming down and started feeling the pain of one little bullet .
Kaneko nodded and took hold of his hand carefully. "Okay...we'll do that then." She promised, starting to lead him back to the cabin. Occasionally, she would glance over her shoulder at the man, expecting him to sit up and shoot. But he never did. When they arrived back to the cabin, Kaneko opened up the door and helped him inside before she locked the door again behind them. "Alright, let's get you seated so that we can take a look at this wound." Kaneko led him to the armchair and helped him sit, then she slowly removed his scarf and unbuttoned his coat to see what they were dealing with. It looked like the man had tried to aim for the stomach but missed. He either had really bad aim, or Allen was too fast for him. Either way it wasn't good. "Well, he missed, so that's good.." Her hands absentmindedly worked on getting his coat off then his shirt. "Don't worry Allen, I'll clean your shirt and your coat. And I'll bring you a fresh shirt afterwards. D-does it hurt a lot?" She asked him.
Allen quietly followed Kaneko as she led him back to the cabin. What could he say? So he stayed quiet. Once they were back inside he sat down and nodded lightly to her words as she took off his scarf and started unbuttoning his jacket. He did wince a little bit tried not to show it. He missed.. That was kind of a relief. When he actually felt her felt her taking off his coat, and shirt, he tried not to flinch. "Of course it hurts.. I'm afraid I've hurt you more though.. " He murmured quietly. "I'm sorry, Kaneko.. I-I didn't mean to.. He wanted to hurt you.."
Of course it hurt, she was an idiot for even asking. "Right..s-sorry for asking." She whispered, folding up his scarf and setting it down on the couch nearby. She couldn't think of what to say, hearing him apologize. She knew he didn't mean to, she knew he was only trying to keep her safe from harm. She shook her head and gathered the bloody shirt and bloody coat. "It's okay Allen. I'm the one who's sorry for getting you hurt all the time. I.. I'll go and put these in the wash and then come back with a few things we'll need to get this done." She said and quickly left to do as she said she would. She started up the washing machine and threw his bloodied clothes in there along with soap and fabric softener then closed the lid and ran off to get the first aid kit. She looked inside the kit to make sure they had everything, then gathered a few extra things just to be on the safe side. When she had everything, Kaneko walked back to the living room and set the things on the coffee table. "Alright, what would you like first?" She asked him.
Allen lowered his head when he apologized. How could he look her in the eyes now? He quietly listened to her scurry around the cabin, and start the wash, then come back to him. He took a moment to think about what he needed to take the bullet out without breaking it. "I need a forcept, to remove the bullet. Or tweezers. And a rag of some kind." He said calmly .
Kaneko looked at her supplies and picked up some tweezers. "Okay, here are the tweezers." She said, placing them in his hand. She picked up a simple white rag and folded it in half then handed it to Allen as well. "Are you sure you'll be able to do this Allen?" She asked quietly. She didn't want him to end up hurting himself by trying to do this. She wasn't sure how it was done but she did know it would probably be really painful.
Allen nodded lightly and held the tweezers. "Yeah.. Just hold the rag, please.." He murmured quietly, trying not sound demanding of her. With his free hand, he lightly felt around for the wound, biting his lip some when he found it, and felt for the bullet. Okay, now the hard part, getting it out. He didn't want anything for pain, just to get it over with. Allen slowly brought the tweezers up to the wound and grabbed hold of the bullet, closing his eyes tightly as he pulled it out. Which of course made the spot bleed more. "Apply pressure.." He murmured weakly. Allen felt like he was burning up! What kind of gun had that. man shot him with? An anti-vampire weapon? Did they really have those here?
Kaneko nodded, "Yes sir." she said softly, holding on to the rag as she was instructed to do. She watched him get to work on removing the bullet and when he had, she pressed the rag to the bleeding wound, applying pressure to it as he said for her to do. It wasn't a big bullet, it looked pretty small but it didn't look like a regular bullet. "Strange. It's rather small and it looks like it has something on it." She said to him, keeping the rag on his wound. "I'll take a closer look at it right now, but first I want to patch you up okay?" She suggested. Kaneko took the tweezers and the bullet from him with one hand and carefully set them down on a small plate to look at later. "Alright, let's clean you up first. Then we will patch you up, get you a clean shirt, and then we'll look at this bullet." She instructed quietly. She probably should have gone back to school for nursing, but it was too late now and too dangerous.
Allen quietly listened to her words. The bullet had something on it? He relaxed some as his nerves died down and slowly took a breath to calm himself. He nodded lightly when she spoke again and slowly opened his glazed eyes. "Sounds good.." He said quietly. "You have everything?" He asked, only curious if she needed anything else. He'd be lucky to stay conscious much longer though, just because of the use of a magic weapon, if that's what it was anyway. The pain was fading at least.
The pretend nurse nodded, "I do." She said quietly. She had pulled the aid kit closer to her and opened the metal box. Her free hand pulled out a few packets of disinfectant wipes which she used her teeth to tear the packets opened then removed the rag from his wound and began to clean up around it, being very careful. Kaneko started to hum softly as she worked. The trash was tossed to the floor for her to pick up later. Then she put a bit of disinfectant gel on her finger and gently applied it around the wound, hoping it didn't hurt him since she knew he hadn't liked it before but it was required and she only put on a very light layer. The wound was small so thankfully she didn't need the needle and thread this time. Opening another packet, larger this time, she pressed the two pieces of gauze pads on the wound then picked up a roll of gauze bandage and carefully wrapped it around him so that he was properly patched up. Lastly, she secured the bandage with two small metal clips. "There we go. Good as new." She told him then began to gather up the mess and left to throw it away then she washed her hands thoroughly. "Alright, let's take a look at this bullet." Kaneko said, walking back to the coffee table where it sat on a plate. She picked it up with the tweezers and looked at it closely. "Smells funny." She muttered. Like blood and something else but she couldn't figure out what.
