Eke simply waded into the water and stood there.

He took a piece of candy and stabbed his talon through it, making bait, as it was now stuck to the end of his tail.

At full length, his tail was as long as him, if not but maybe a few inches longer.

Very carefully he put his tail into the water and watched. He was still for a very, very long time.

There was a shimmer of black, iridescent black in the waters beflow him. He slowly raised his tail.

He seemed fixated on his quarrey. With lighetening speed his tail was gone, only a splash was heard. He quickly stabbed the dark glimmer and wrapped his tail around it, waiting till it stopped moving.

He slowly drug the massive fish to the shore, grunting with effort then uncoiled his tial to show his prize.

He grinned, proud of himself.

"I cant do much but i CAN fish!" he was pratically bouncing with joy.

He was beaming. More than he had ever beamed.

He sat down and smiled. The air seemed warmer.

"Looks like the elder dragon has moved on. The snow is beginning to melt" he pointed to the stack of snow havering over the river.

The melody of "drip drip drop" could be heard from the now melting snow.

"We havent seen the last of him im sure." he said. "O-or her" he quicly added.

"You should be afraid of an elder dragon. Eespecially if its female." He was balancing rocks.

"Female dragons are...testy at best" his rock tower fell and he frowned.

"at worst...well leets jsut say, not many survive" he sighed trying again.

He looked at Ryker and frowned.

"Im a dragon..i just cant...turn into a dragon for long" he shrugged and looked away.

"So you cant say you havent encountered one, just havent fought one" he began stacking his rocks again.

He failed several times and growled.

He nodded and tried so.

He smiled when it worked and started to stack the rock in...seemingly impossible angles.

He seemed very fixated and they only drop when he loses focus.

His stomach had growled again. He sighed.

"I used to be good at this."

His eyes went wide as saucers.

"Really?! it looks so good!!!" he was practically wiggling.

"And 'good' would be not knocking them over at all. Ita all about balance. I learned from an old sage dragon. Not an elder, but he was..wise. I liked him." he started over.

"He never treated me like...i was disabled. We did stuff of the mind. Chess, Pai Sho, Go, Rock balancing. He told me that i...that i was 'stronger than all the other dragons because my mind is sharp'."

He looked up at ryker. "The first to be nice to me. Theres only ever been another"

"Yeah. One other person has been kind to me. i think you kknow hims quite well" he smiled then went back to his rock stacking.

"My mother is...quite influencial. The old man had no claim to me. She does. Simple as that." He answered.

"Kinda like the throne in a kingdom. Unless you have the same blood, then you have no claim on it" he addeed.

"Well once we eat we should move on before the elder comes back" he sat back having made his impossible rock stack.

He closed his eyes and he seemed to be...listening.

Or...meditating. Didn't really seem like an "Eke" thing to do, meditate.

But Eke did meditate, especially when he remembered the old Sage dragon.

It made him feel limitless, like he was no longer bound by his physical limitations. It...also took his mind off of how hungry he was and how the fish wasn't done yet.

He opened one eye and smiled.

"Ill eat it slowly." he got up and grabbed the plate.

"Sorry, thinking about the the Sage, it usually makes me meditate. He taught me how." he took a bite.

"He...taught me a lot. But...mom disliked how he was around so much, suspected him of teaching me the wrong things. Sadly, he was old and died...2 years ago" he sighed and took another bite.
