"They are...our gods...i guess you could say" he shrugged.

"They have their Conclave, a group of dragons that runs kinda like a governent for dragon. The conclave are...priests i guess. i dont know much, other than they are creepy and remind me of cultists." he took a big bite.

"supposedly, the lords are mega powerful. I dont care much for them" he shuddered and continued to eat.

"So! Does this mean i get to...do the fishing from now on?" he grinned.

"Well...its the only thing i know i can do well" he shrugged.

"So im sure i can keep it up" he finished up his food and lays back rubbing his eyes.

Big meals always made him sleepy.

"We should get going soon" he yawned

"Oh that dragon will be back." he got up yawning.

He walked with Ryker silently.

It wasnt he was upset, just tired.


"Forward motion is...good" he smiled

"But if you make progress to run from something means you will always feel empty" he looked at ryker.

"So we should work toward something" he yawned again.

"Sorry im okay. lets keep going" he smiled

"Big meals make me tired. I can power through" he smiled again and kept walking

He walked for about 2 hours chit chatting about life and all he believed in.

At that point he yawned loudly and leaned onto ryker.

"I think...i need to stop now.." he yawned once more and rubbed his eyes.

He nodded.

He sat down yawning.

He pulled the jacket close to him. It was getting cold again. But it felt more natural.

"Winters starting to set i guess. The elder wouldnt be so stupid to attack the same day. hed wait till tomorrow at the earliest" he rubbed his eyes.

"But he will be back. Elder dragons have..the ability to lure any dragon out" he lay down feeling exhausted. "Maybe no more big big meals" he smiled

"I...okay.." hhe was a little sad he couldnt sleep next to him.

He walked into the tent and curled into the blanket.

it felt warm and he yawned.

He looked over. He had tears in his eyes.

"Yknow...i just...wanted to tellyou...that im happy with you...okay?" he sniffled, his voice shaking.

He had been doing too much thinking again, but not about his mother.

No he had been thinking about his health, and was reminded of ryker saying something about how everyone he knew died or ran away.

"So...just...dont ever be sad okay?" he wasnt sure if this was a great way to tell him, but Eke felt he was in this for the long haul, as long as he could.

He just lay his head against rykers chest.

"Good..because i dont want to go without making someone happy." he smiled.

"I want to be travelling with you for as long as i can okay?" he closed his eyes.

"I hope that means for years" he said while drifting to sleep.

All through his sleep, he kept a grip on rykers shirt.

Eke had come to rely on Ryker. Ryker had become the only important thing to him.

As far as Eke was concerned, Ryker WAS his big brother.

The thought made Eke smile in his sleep. Despite all that had happened to them in such a short time, he was more than happy.

As the sun set, eke shifted away from the light, beaming through the material of the tent, and into ryker. His tail curled around the two like a hug.
