There was silence again from behind the door, before she heard the clicking of a lock coming undone.

The door then opened slowly, and very slightly, revealing a very scared and guilty-looking eye in the darkness within.

"....Dr. Remmington...?" Levi asked, his voice shaky.

"You're... you came back?" he asked her.

"When? And why have you come to see ME, of all people?" he asked further.

"If anything, you need to stay away from me even more than anyone else..."

Kiah just sighed before pushing the door open - and finding it very much an easy task for her to do - and made her way in.

"Levi, I'm here because I care about you." She told him simply.

"And beyond that, I'm also here because I heard you didn't take my absence well."

"What happened, happened because of me." he went on.

"Yeah, I ran away because I didn't want to face the world, and actually wanted to wallow alone for awhile." She commented after a few seconds.

"And after that was all said and done, then I came back."

"I'm guessing you did the same thing. But honestly, I am sorry that I ran like that, I shouldn't have." she paused.

"Actually, for that matter, it isn't your fault anyway."

"Wait, what? Howso? You ran away because of what happened to me, how it affected you." Levi commented.

"Nahhh. I was stuck in the hospital for a few days and then not allowed back here because I was literally leaking mana out of my pores because of Angela and that fucking book."

"Wait." he said.

"Book?" he asked, before thinking about it some more.

"I... I think I remember hearing something about that..." he went on, pondering it.

"But... but it wasn't MY fault you left...?" he then asked her.

"Angela had a book and pen combo that was... not pleasant. To say that it corrupted her worse than you ever were would be one HELL of an understatement." She added.

"But hey, we're all right. That's the important thing." She paused as she scanned the room.

"You cool with doing your homework?"

"Oh... I... right, I haven't been doing my homework..." he admitted.

"I... really haven't been doing much of anything, really." he went on.

"Poor Ally's had to live with me, too." he then said, before pausing once more, but this time, he looked like he was horrified.

"AH! ALLY!" he exclaimed.

"I need to find her and apologize for how I've been acting!" he declared, as he started to race to the door to try and find her.

As he raced past her, Kiah just reached out and grabbed whatever it was that she ecould. Which was his hair.

With a good handful, she lightly tugged him back after the initial pain and stop. Once he had backed up to where she could see him face to face.

"No." She stated.

"You're doing three things, and in this order, BEFORE considering going after her. She'll likely return here anyway." She paused a moment. Once he nodded, she continued.

"One: Bathroom. You need to clean up. Or at least get a change of clothes and comb your hair.

"Two, you are going to at least get your homework organised that you can find what you need after.

"ANd three, you and I are going to the cafeteria for a bite to eat."

"I don't need to eat, I ate-" he went on, before suddenly pausing.

"....a couple of days ago, okay, I need to eat."

"Go take care of yourself. I'll just have a seat and wait." She then said with a light laugh.

"I... yeah, I'll... get clean, first." he said.

"That's... that's probably the priority at the moment." he admitted.

He then made his way to the bathroom, where Kiah heard water running. He was prepping a shower for himself.

"....I'm sorry!" she then heard him call out.

"I'm sorry for making you come see me like this!"

"It's ok! Just take care of yourself no!" Kiah called back after a couple seconds before laughing.

It was good to see the kid, and it was doing HER some good to do so. She was sure that it was doing him some good too, to be honest.

Seeing both Ilias and Levi really was doing her good.

She was sitting in his kitchen, at the table that was in there. She knew he was going to be home momentarily, and knew that he wouldn't be happy - or at least... he shouldn't be happy.

It was just a matter to find out whether or not her request was actually followed through on.

A few seconds later, she felt an immense surge of mana.

And heard a voice.

"-SO DON'T YOU EVER COME BACK TO ME WITH THAT KIND OF BULLSHIT EVER AGAIN!" she heard Uriel scream.

"YOU DISGRACE ME, YOU DISGRACE YOURSELF, AND YOU DISGRACE YOUR VERY HERITAGE WITH EVEN DARING TO ASK ME FOR SUCH A THING LIKE YOU DID!" he went on.

"NOW I DO NOT WANT TO SEE YOU BACK UP THERE FOR A VERY LONG TIME! I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN IT IS EVEN STARTING TO BECOME ACCEPTABLE TO EVEN THINK ABOUT SHOWING YOURSELF THERE AGAIN!" he finished.

There was another burst of mana, to which she then heard the back door to the house open, and light footsteps come inside.

"Wow..." Syraene said, very quietly. She knew that Uriel could definitely be harsh, but sometimes he surprised even her.

Zeke walked into the house and through the kitchen. He waved to her, but it didn't seem it even processed that she was there, but that was all right.

She just sat there and waited for a minute while he grabbed something from the fridge. After it closed, she spoke.

"He's right to not give it to you, you know that, right?"

"...huh?" he then muttered, looking over to where she was.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"He's not right to give it to me, what's THAT supposed to mean?" he asked further, before pausing.

"...wait..." he muttered.

"Wait, wait, hold on a second, here." he repeated, shaking his head a little.

"It?" he asked. "What do you mean 'it'?" he asked her.

"How do you know what I was talking with my father about?" he asked further, suspicion and confusion in his tone.

"How do I know?" She asked.

"I know because he was merely doing as I asked." She answered honestly. She knew he wasn't going to be happy about that little detail, so she was going to let him get his exclamations out before she continued.

"He was doing as YOU asked?" he asked further.

Syraene merely nodded.

"WHAT!?" Zeke then exclaimed.

"WHY!?" he demanded.

"Why would you prevent me from obtaining the blade!?" he asked her, clearly angry now.

"That blade will obliterate Vanessa, once and for all!" he said further, before pausing.

"...or are you trying to protect your daughter?" he then asked, a bit of a bite to his tone.

"I was trying to save YOU." She stated simply.

"So it's something that you need to work on for the next bit. You'll be good to get it eventually, just not right now."

".....what?" Zeke asked in response, now COMPLETELY confused.

"I can't use the blade?" he asked.

"That's absurd. Anyone can." he told her.

"I mean, if a mortal uses it, yes, it will destroy them, but I AM half-archangel." he said.

"Those genetics should allow me to use it, right?" he asked her.

While, technically, what he was saying was partially correct, it did prove to Syraene that he still had NO idea what she was referring to, or talking about.
