It took her all of five seconds to find the source.

She found Levi sitting on a stool, a guitar in hand as he was strumming it a bit.

"Ah, hello." She stated simply as she leaned against the doorframe.

The guitar was... all right, but she could tell that there was a hint of discord to the notes.

Levi was silent, before he stopped playing, and looked at her.

"...hello." he replied.

"Well. You've done it." he said.

"The inner sanctum of my mind." he told her.

"Welcome."

"I was good." he said.

"Until recently." he went on.

"This is like my mental stability." he told her.

"Your life seems pretty stable to me." She added.

"I've been kidnapped." he went on.

"Left alone, and abused." he continued.

"Right now, things aren't going so well." he muttered, a little passive-aggressively.

"....but you know all this." he finished.

Brie just sighed, heavily.

"I wish I could apologise." She commented.

I really do." She added before sighing, again, and shaking her head.

"But I can't. That damned bitch that killed me is making sure of that."

"....." Levi was silent as he heard that.

"I... I see." he said.

"Well, guess we both have our problems." he muttered, still seeming to be less-than-impressed... but she could also hear some fear in his tone.

"...by the way... things aren't going to get nice here." he warned.

"They don't like intruders." he said.

Just as he said that, it seemed like the entire area darkened, as though it became dusk... but unnaturally so.

"They?" Brie asked before the area darkened. She looked around for a moment or two, before freezing and paling.

"Oh hell no." She said simply, quietly.

"There's no way that you mean THEY." She added, seeming to know what the hell it was that was happening. Having been raised as a conduit, she knew the history of those like her.

He sighed.

"I don't joke about that." he said.

"At least I don't have to try and explain it." he continued, as a black... mass... slowly emerged outside one of the larger windows in the room.

Then an eye opened on it. And another. And another. And another. Until there were no less than 60 eyeballs looking right at her.

"My mind is not a nice place to be." Levi said.

"My roommates are... difficult." he added with a wry and disconcerting chuckle.

The thing just continued to stare at Brie... almost with some sort of... interest.

"I'll say." Brie commented before sighing.

"The last conduit who had rommates as you do was nothing more than a blithering idiot." She commented.

"I'm honestly amazed that you haven't turned as such." She added before pausing.

".... ohhhhh the bitch is really treading on thin ice with you." she commented as she realised what it actually meant.

". . .it could destory the world..."

Levi just sighed again, putting the guitar down.

"What can I say?" he asked rhetorically.

"I'm a natural. Born this way." he told her, as the thing got closer to the window.

"And I usually have a barrier of souls around me that act as enough of a deterrent." he went on.

It was at that point that a black mist started to seep through the linings of the windows, falling to the floor like a gaseous carpet, and making its way right towards where Brie was.

Brie watched the mist seep in, but didn't run. She knew what it was, but also knew that there was very little that she could do here. If she left, sh eknew that her presence would cause them to target her anyway.

"Just... give Alicja a chance, hey?" She said after a second or two.

"She's... much nicer than I am." She paused a moent as the mist closed in on her.

"Not a conduit, either." She added.

"........." Levi was silent for a moment.

"Alicja?" he asked.

"Who's that?" he asked her.

"The one that's the owner of the body that I, and others, inhabit." she replied.

"..." again, Levi was silent, before nodding.

"They do not care about her." he told her.

"YOU are the one that invaded here. So they only care about you." he finished, as the mist reached her feet, and started to engulf her.

"...my whatever diety you may or may not worship have mercy on whatever if left of you." he said quietly.

"Two things." Brie said with a sigh.

"Firstly, you already know Alicja. She recently joined you, after all." She told him.

"And secondly, that was to you, not them. YOU give Alicja a chance." She continued.

"YOU are the one that will be able to, after all."

Levi blinked a few times.

"....o-oh." he said.

"Wait... wait, SHE'S the... new one?" he asked.

Brie just nodded.

"I... I see." he replied.

"Guess it shows how distracted I can really be." he lamented, shaking his head.

"I can tell that you're not who you seemed to be on the surface, and that HER involvement and meddling turned you into something else." he commented.

"I might be stupid... or naive... or both... but I'll give her a chance." he told her.

"And for whatever it's worth... I'm sorry we met under the circumstances we did... and that it has to end like this."

Brie looked to what was starting to surround her, getting tighter around her, before sighing.

"One last thing I want to say." She started.

"That demon that is being hunted out - Lilim. She's here." She told Levi simply.

"And I have a suspicion that you're going to get out of here in the next bit anyway. Try and keep strong until then." Was the last thing she got out before the mist encapsulated her entirely.

Levi was about to say something more, before she was gone. The mist dissipated, and she was just... gone.

"....." he was silent, before the mist made its way towards him.

"...yes?" he muttered, before it swirled around him, and seemed to extract something from him. A strange dark mana.

"Oh." he said.

"I see. Guess there was still some left." he muttered, before he narrowed his eyes and took a step back from the mist.

"All right, all right, time for me to wake up." he told it.

Sure enough, about 3-4 minutes later, he opened his eyes and returned to reality.

When he woke, he found the one that had been there, was gone. Instead, there was a brunette that he hadn't seen before, one with a bird of some sort.

"Are you all right?" the bird asked as she approached.

"I brought you some water." It added
