Dia de Muertos has something similar to that! We offer things on a family altar (ofendra) - things that they used to like before their passing as well as other stuff!! Common offerings are pan de muertos (a sweet bread), as well as beverages - marigolds are often used on such altars to help guide the dead back to our world, and candles are lit for the same reason too. The reason for food offerings is because it's seen as nourishment for the dead - other common things on ofrendas are photos of the passed on individual(s), sentimental objects, etc!!
I personally have an ofrenda for my passed on cats haha, since I don't know of any family members who have passed >w>;;
