@Wildfire: We had curry for dinner. My husband made it a bit different tonight. I enjoyed it. Normally it's overpowering in flavor.
What are you having? or had?

@Koah: oh curry! I haven't had curry in a while. We had Chinese 5 spice pork roast and then mixed sauteed greens (mostly spinach). I made sweet potatoes too but we didn't eat them. My boys had mashed potatoes

We eat a lot of sweet potatoes. And broccoli.

Sweet potatoes are so good. I haven't had any in a while either.

@Wildfire: oh my goodness your dinner sounds fantastic! I'm envious!
I'm really proud of myself, I got my picky kid to actually eat curry tonight. He's 6 and outright refuses to eat meal food. He likes his snacks and cereal.

My cousins are both picky kids and they usually have something else for dinner (instant noodles, mac n cheese, "quesadillas", or hot dogs). It doesn't bother me too much, since I'm not the one cooking for them usually.

I've got two kids. One will eat Anything that is put in front of her.
My other kid doesn't even like typical kid food like chicken nuggets, ramen, etc.

It sucks when i work hard on a food and he just looks at it and goes "I don't like it. I cant eat it."

@Koah: congrats getting your cool to eat some curry! That's a tough age for food - if they don't start exploring, they tend to stay very picky. Or at least that has been my experience and observations.

@0v7: oh! Making two meals a night is tough

My cousins are like your other kid - they don't even try it usually. It's a wonder how my aunt hasn't gone crazy by now, making 2 dinners every night.

Yes, one of my kids is pickier than the other too, but they'll both eat anything I cook. Now. But they are significantly older

I'm usually the one making weird typos. lol. So no worries.

I've gotten more strict with my son. I lost my cool recently over him not eating. He turns into a mess and still refuses to eat. oTL it's an exhausting battle.

What my mom did when I was younger was make me take 3 bites (or something like that). Got me out of my pickyness for the most part - the only things I wouldn't eat then were asparagus, and dairy milk.
