@Another Movie Addict: oh... ugh! At least you had a workaround and could get to your game.

Yes, coffee is deliciousness! :3

Good morning btw

How was your day yesterday?
Do you have anything going on today? Work?

Oh yeah. Last night's game was absolutely brilliant. We did a lot of RPing and everyone had a moment of beautiful quotes. One of the party members is an Arachne and therefore eats bugs. Her and my character decided to go looking for bugs. The Arachne made a bug protein shake for our ranger, and it nearly killed her. Because it had a poisonous bugs in it that didn't do anything to the Arachne. So she didn't realize she was poisoning our ranger. Anyway, we got into a discussion about how bugs are a good source of protein. And my friend yells 'You can eat bugs!" and I retorted with a "You can drink your own pee to survive too, but you still shouldn't!" Which ends with "Bugs are better than pee!"

Today is just chilling, yesterday was fine.

I'm sure your Ranger appreciated the thought :3 XD
It definitely sounds like you had a fun time with your group last night! :3

So what are your "chillin'" plans for the day today?

We're trying to beef our ranger up, because she's kind of wimpy.

Playing Minecraft in my bed.

so the almost killing her was part of the plan to beef her up?

What do you think of the new changes with minecraft? Have you run in to the new mob(s) yet?

Well the intention was to help beef up the ranger, but the Arachne doesn't understand that different races can't eat the things she can eat. The Arachne, who's name is Lena, is very dense. Like she thinks that mammals are capable of laying eggs.

Ok, so somebody doesn't have a very high intelligence score! XD Even if it wasn't intentional, did the Ranger get some extra experience for that experience?

No she didn't, but we are having her go through some strength training.

lol. - that ought to be amusing in a D&D realm

It is. Especially since Lena really is dumb as f. And is the one doing the training, she is stupid strong.

that sounds like a very interesting combination of things, especially as part of a group dynamic

Oh our group is ridiculous. We have a half-elf wild magic sorcerer who has a magic sword (that is most likely excalibur), who doesn't really interact with the group all that much. A rogue who is very bad at being a rogue and has adopted this random kid he shot, a ranger who has so much ptsd she's kinda useless a lot of the time, a frighter/cleric who's dumb as a box of rocks and doesn't really understand the language she's speaking to us. A kobold druid who sucks at nature stuff and is more focused on becoming a dragon and sleeping with any male npc that shows up. And the very rare asexual bard who was raised by dwarves and didn't realize she was a Tabaxi and not a dwarf for years.

That is... quite the group!!
And, judged by our previous conversations about your D&D adventures, I love how everyone seems to really get in to and stay in character, according to their stats, affinities, etc. :3

Oh yeah. We're all so good at staying in character that we're not always sure if something is said in-character or out of character.

Voltie Posted 3 years ago ( 2021/06/15 14:18:18 )
lol. I can see that happening. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, is it?

Donator — 0% Edible Posted 3 years ago ( 2021/06/15 14:19:29 )

It can be, since we don't want to meta-game. Like we don't want our characters to act on something that they don't know.

Voltie Posted 3 years ago ( 2021/06/15 14:20:54 )
that's true. So is the DM good at deciphering what's what when that sort of thing happens?
