I am amazed at the sheer number of different witchy outfits you've been able to come up with the last couple of weeks!
Oh yeah - that works too :3

@Wildfire: Your day sounds nice overall though. :3 Even though it made you tired.
I ended up finding my glasses, drinking a small coffee, and tackling my kids' disastrous room.
I got about 2/3rds of their room done.
Normally their room doesn't ever get bad enough where I have to step in and do a purge.

@Koah: Thanks. It was a pretty good day all in all. It was good to see Mom - she was in better spirits today than she was the last time I saw her, so that's a good thing. I don't mind being tired, per se... but I'm trying to get some work done on my site and my brain just does not want to cooperate, which is getting a little frustrating.
It sounds like your kids have been on a disaster-creating spree! XD

@Wildfire: We used to move so much that my kids never kept enough to make a mess. Now that we've been in our house for over a year... omg. OTL This is the first time since they were toddlers that I had to purrrggge. 2 garbage bags of donation[stuff they've forgotten about] and 2 garbage bags of trash[broken toys and papers n things]
It's always nice to visit parents. <3 I'm glad you had a pleasant time with your mom today. :)
I've been on and off the phone with my sister today, she's catching me up on her christmas shopping list and letting me know her plans for the holidays.

@Koah: lol...that's a decent amount of stuff to be removed! :3 ... congratulations?
Yes, it was good to see my Mom, and even better to see that she was in a decent mood/head-space :3
I need to run off to cook dinner... I don't feel like it.

Good morning everyone. It's Halloween Friday! Is anyone going to any parties or doing anything fun this weekend for Halloween??
@Wildfire: I'd love to see the rugs you made.
Good Morning. My daughter just went to school in her costume. My son has an online class today where they wear their costumes and show off.
Otherwise, Halloween stuff starts for us tomorrow.

@Koah: I can post a photo or two in a little bit - feel free to remind me!
I'm glad the kids can wear their costumes to school (whichever variation of "school" they do). Halloween is such a good holiday for spooky fun!
So what are you doing today or this weekend, Koah?

@Wildfire: I'm glad too. My daughter loves attention. So this is perfect for her. She gets to show off her costume.
Well, I have a new neighbor that's ambitiously trying to meet everyone on the block. So they're throwing a party. We'll go over there tomorrow and get to know the new family.
I've seen their girls, and they have the same loud energy as my daughter. So I've been putting off meeting them. XD lol. Our kids will be fence-to-fence neighbors and chaotically loud once they get to know each other.
Halloween, We'll go to the neighborhood town and trick or treat with close friends of ours.
Our neighborhood is too spread out for any decent trick or treating.

@Koah: lol. That's one thing that always catches me by surprise when I spent time with friends who have daughters instead of sons... girls are LOUD... constantly! XD <3 But it sounds like a good thing for your kids to have more kids their age nearby. I hope the kids get along. A party? That's fun. Our neighborhood usually ends up having an impromptu party for Halloween and July 4th type holidays since most of us sit outside and hand out candy that way, so as long as there's not a herd of kids coming towards your house, we tend to gather and chat...
@Wildfire: I was such a MILD child growing up. I had female friends, but when it came to boy-talk and painting nails, I always opted out. I'm not a 'loud' female or 'girlie'. lol.
Raising a girl has been so difficult for me. Oof. She loves attention, she's loud and aggressively touchy. XD
That's a nice thing about living in apartments, the neighbors are amazing on holidays. <3 We lived in Denver a few years ago in an apartment and Halloween, Easter and the 4th were so fun. Free beers, everyone bought enough food to share... Kids playing and going between apartments. :3
Do you have weekend plans? Will you stay home and hand out candy?

@Koah: Yeah, I was always quiet and more 'tomboy' than loud, touchy, screechy girl... happier to be climbing trees than painting my nails and gossiping. I am honestly glad I have boy children... obviously, I would have adjusted had I had a girl or two, but it would have been quite the adjustment for me too... so I definitely feel ya on that one! XD
Our neighborhood is just small enough to be a fun place to be for holidays. I still wish we had a little more land to work with, but we're in a pretty good spot for most things :3 The kids will be all over the place, I think, for Halloween. Again. Still. Although this year, my youngest son won't be riding a big black horse down the street like he did last year...

@Wildfire: Okay, Well, I'm going to need the story on the black horse! lol !
I'm glad your neighborhood is still active during Halloween/holidays even with the pandemic. Being a mom of smaller kids, finding things for them to be excited about has been super tough. My kids are only now feeling the effects of shut down. lol, And around here, everything is re-opened. XD

@Koah: My son works at a horse stables about a half mile away and thought it would be fun to ride a horse down the street like the headless horseman or something. The horse he usually rides when he's at the barn is a big black draft horse (my son is 6'2"/3") and although he didn't pull off the whole costume idea, he dressed weirdly and brought the horse in to the neighborhood. It was a hit.
@Wildfire: lol! Well, I admire your son for doing that! lol. That's amazing! and he's in a good working field. I respect people who can be around horses and understand their body language. :)
@Koah: lol. Yes - he's good with animals. He has been working at that stables for a couple of years now, taking care of the horses, helping to manage the entire operation, leading trail rides, etc., and for the last several months, he's been helping out friends of ours who have started an ostrich farm (with other animals including ducks, geese, turkeys, and bees), and then he managed to find himself somebody with a private zoo that he's helping at once or twice a week as well... in addition to his FT job. The boy is crazy, but he enjoys working with the animals and working with his hands
So coworker comes to ask what policy is on asking to call out. Said they had a concussion and weren't sure if they could come in. I told them they should probably go home. Said they were fine to stay. I told Manager hey Coworker has a concussion. He said he'd talk to coworker. Well not long after that Manager comes gets me to help in the front. Coworker passed out.
@Another Movie Addict: Well that sounds like an exciting day... is coworker ok?
I think they'll be fine.
@Another Movie Addict: That's good. :3
How are you today? I forget if I already asked if you have any plans for Halloween?
