"At this point, I don't care." he told her.

"...about the rules, that is." he clarified.

"I'd... break all the rules up there if it meant I could keep visiting you." he admitted.

Aimee was silent as he said what he did. She wasn't so sure that it would be a good idea for him to proclaim something so drastic, but she also didn't know if she really wanted to get in the way of that. She knew taht he could probably do it, and she found herself charmed by it, if anything.

"Are... are you sure about that?" She asked, her voice hesitant, unsure.

"That's... well, couldn't be mass trouble for you?"

Uriel looked at her in silence for a moment.

He then reached over and took one of her hands, holding it gently from beneath, and then placing his other hand atop hers.

"...until I met you, I had been existing up there." he told her.

"Meeting you... I think I'm ready to actually try living." he said.

"...or as close as I get to it." he then mumbled.

"But you are a ray of light in my life."

"Well, I am certainly thrilled to be able to do so much for you." Aimee commented with a small smile. It may have been small, ut he could tell it was sincere.

She just felt ather crummy at the moment.

She shufted position again, set the cup of tea on the end table and scooted over.

"Come here.?" She suggested, patting next to her. She figured he may as well be comfy while there.

Uriel looked at where she patted, and was silent for another moment, before nodding.

"Of course." he responded.

He then proceeded to climb onto the bed, and smirked slightly.

His wings then spread out underneath him, and across the bed... as well as some of the room.

But he knew what he was doing... and perhaps Aimee would, too.

He was inviting her to lay down on his wing and get comfortable as well.

Aimee hesitated, meeting his gaze with her silent question. After he'd assured her that he was good with it, she most certainly did get comfy, with him and his wings wrapped around her. She also reached out and laid her palm on her wall above her head, causing plenty of runes to light up, before spreading and coalescing at the door.

She was just trying to protect her brother. She knew her runes would act as a deterrent as him opening the door... as opening it would be rather problematic for him, with all the free floating (so to speak) pure mana in the room.

Once the door was dealt with, Aimee just got comfy with her guardian angel, to put it very simply. She knew that she would sleep well with him here, but also realised that there was a good chance he would be gone by the time she woke.

Wouldn't be the first time, but she never held it against him.

As Uriel wrapped his wings around her and held her close, he watched as she put the runes up, in order to protect her brother. When she did so, he smiled and looked towards the ceiling, as she got comfortable.

"...." he was silent, before sighing internally.

'Hate me all you want, Gabriel.' he thought. 'But don't hate Aimee.' he continued. '...it's not her fault I've fallen in love.' he admitted to himself bluntly.

He then wondered about someone else up there. Someone whose opinions truly mattered.

He knew they'd want to talk with him. And soon.

And he wondered how it would go.

Sure enough, Uriel was able to be there for a few hours before being woken by a slight burn. It wasn't a painful burn though, it was more akin to the burn one would feel from menthol.

And he knew exactly what it was.

His boss was calling, and wanting to talk.

Aimee, meanwhile, was still asleep.

"..." again, Uriel was silent, before looking at Aimee.

He used his wings to manipulate her position, so that she was still lying down on the bed, but didn't wake her up. Once he did that, he shook his head.

He hated leaving her when she was asleep, but... his boss was calling.

He then decided to leave in a more subtle way, and merely faded from where he was... making sure to scatter a few feathers as he did so, which landed on her and solidified from touching her.

He appeared in the vast corridor-like area with the cloudy floor and the massive pillars, before looking at the closed door in front of him.

"Come in!" he heard a female voice call to him as he raised his fist to knock, which caused him to sigh and open the door, stepping inside.

Inside, he saw the woman that had summoned him there sitting on the window sill of the rather large bay window she had in her office, reading.

"Please, take a seat." Shes aid kindly as she closed her book, and it vanished.

"This is nothing more than a formailty. Don't worry, you aren't in trouble or anything."

Uriel took the seat she told him to, and was quiet.

'...a formality?' he wondered.

'...wait, not in trouble...?' he then asked himself.

He sighed, and shook his head slightly.

"How do you mean?" he asked.

"A formality? For... what, specifically?" he asked further.

"I mean, I have a strong feeling I know what this meeting is about, but... a formality?"

She just sighed.

"We both know what this is about." She commented.

"And yes, I am all right with you maintaining your relationship with ms. LeBlanc." She added after a moment or two.

"But, of course, Gabriel has made his stance known, and I promised I would talk to you. So we are talking." She added, almost dismissively. She wasn't taking what Gabriel had said seriously, it seemed.

"Of course Gabe went to you." he said.

"...but... it's okay?" he asked.

"You're... all right with my seeing... Aimee?" he asked her.

"..." he was then silent again, and sighed.

"I admit, I wasn't sure what the rules were." he admitted.

"Not since Gabe... well... lost.. her..." he mumbled quietly.

"Seriously. You aren't causing any problems. Well... mostly. I realise that you and her brother don't quite get alone on a mana level." She added.

"I... admit, that would be quite helpful, and probably a massive relief for the both of them." he told her.

She just chuckled lightly before motioning to the shelf he was sitting near. As he looked over, he saw a small box.

"Give that ring to him." She commented.

"It will grant him some immunity to the mana that hovers in the air around you. Stop it from attacking his own."

Uriel grabbed the box and opened it, looking at the onyx and white gold ring inside.

"...oh, wow." he said.

"Yes, this really WILL do that." he said further. "I can feel it." he went on.

He then turned and looked at the woman, before kneeling down on one knee.

"Thank you." he said.

"Your graciousness is infinite, and you always do so much." he commented.

"Please, you've no need to thank me for it." She assured him.

"It's what I do. You know that." She added with a light sigh.

"Now please, you know that's not required with me." She then said. "Get up. There's no need for you to do anything of that sort."

"Sorry." he replied.

"Old habits die hard." he told her.

"..." he was then silent, before sighing.

"I just hope Gabriel can come to terms with this." he said. "He... well... he's not going to like it." he muttered.

"To understate it." he said further.

"And he'd better not try and get Aimee to stop this." he then added, some anger in his tone now.

"Or your sisters will. Sariel could make him feel like crawling into a hole with her words - her patience only goes so far - and Azrael would likely beat him into a bloody pulp." She commented with a sigh.

"You would think that you and Raphael would have more of the tempers."
