Hal was silent, and crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back in his chair.

"Very well." he said.

"I concede your point." he told her.

"So let's discuss." he continued.

"Who would YOU send, if you were in my shoes?" he asked her.

"What is YOUR optimal team for this?" he asked further.

"I'll take everything into consideration for this, bearing in mind, we have precious little time."

"I'm not a strategist." She added. "I've just been in enough scraps to realise that sometimes? You want to play smart, not large." She paused a moment.

"... don't you know Encrae's sister?"

He then thought for a moment, and nodded.

"We do." he said.

"...indeed, one would think she'd be perfect for this." he told her.

"Remember, we're doing this outside of the Triad and Council's jurisdictions at this point." he then reminded her.

"Though I WILL call and ask her about this, and if she wants to go, or will go, or has any recommendations for a party."

"However, I'm not entirely sure what to make of it, exactly." She added.

"I really haven't had personal dealings with the woman, after all."

"Consider yourself lucky." Jake muttered, as Hal grabbed his phone.

"VERY lucky." the ramaarin added, as Hal listened to the phone ring.

"...Ashleigh Encrae?" he said when it was answered.

"Hal Sharp." he said further.

"Listen, one of my agents decided to go off on her own to rescue the man she loves from your sister's clutches." he told her.

"I'm sending a team to try and storm the place and save her." he went on.

"You care to be a part of it, or know anyone that would be handy for such an endeavour?"

Hal heard a sigh, a heavy sigh, in response.

"Is Jenkins going?" She asked before pausing.

"No... I don't think it would matter if he does. Not sure he'd actually fit the bill. You need an elf to kill an elf, so If she's going to be stopped, I really don't have much of a choice." She continued.

"As for who? I can think of a number of people here. However, I am going to bring one or two." She paused here for a moment before sighing.

".... Assuming they will behave. Might be a little too excited for the chance to finally get Vana out."

"Time is precious." Hal responded.

"Please do not dally, and bring whomever you feel would be a boon." he told her.

They then ended their conversation, and Jake sighed.

"I'm going to make my way to security." he told them.

"I remember Ashleigh, so when she shows up, I'll verify and let them through, bringing them here." he said.

"Do that, then." Hal replied.

Jake nodded in response and left the office, as Hal let out a massive sigh.

Meanwhile, the one she addressed looked over towards her, and shrugged.

"Roof, I think." he said.

"Wanted to just stare at the sky, I think." he went on.

"Why?" he asked.

"I need to talk to both of you." was Ashleigh's response.

"So come on, the three of us are going to go talk." She added before making her way outside and waiting. Once he caught up, she got him on her back and flew up to the roof, as she knew that was all in all quicker.

"Yo." She greeted as they landed.

"You both have an option." she continued, barely giving either a chance to properly react to how she was there, and seemed more serious than usual.

".... Sharp's gonna raid Vana's lair at Stonehenge. Either of you want in?"

Both Ash and Lindsay were stunned to hear that.

"R-raiding it?" Lindsay stammered.

"Never thought I'd hear THAT..." Ash muttered.

"B-but WHY?" Lindsay asked. "Why is he doing this?" he asked her.

"Surely such a thing is foolish at best." he went on.

"...unless it's to rescue someone." Ash added in.

"Precisely." was Ashleigh's response.

"To truncate it, because I don't know the intricacies, but Vana got her claws on someone, and their partner has gone to save them. Haven't seen nor heard from her for awhile, So... well, Hal's sending a crew in to rescue her." She then said, not wanting to go into detail. She wasn't entirely sure how the information that she was tehre, but she had her suspicions.

Suspicions she wouldn't voice here.

"....right, then." Lindsay muttered with a sigh.

"I'm in." Ash told her.

"...I detest violence." Lindsay said. "...but I know when it's time to use it." he went on, standing up.

"Violence is usually the first act of the incompetent... but I think that, over the course of the years... decades... centuries... we've exhausted literally every other act and/or solution." he said further.

"Meaning it's FINALLY time for you to showcase what that body can do?" Ash asked him.

"...indeed." Lindsay confirmed.

Lindsay just sighed.

"I admit, something inside me is scared." he told her. "But it's high time I confront the demons of my past." he said.

"...yeah, sounds accurate for me, too." Ash agreed.

"Anyway, I'll get us to the Unit." Lindsay then said, before the three of them were engulfed in red flames, appearing in the designated area of the security landing for the Unit.

Jake nodded when they came into view, and sighed.

"Welcome back." he greeted Ashleigh.

"I know where she is, but I don't think the three of us have been in there for a very long time." She continued.

"Meaning that it's very likely she's rearranged the place or something since then." she then paused, sighing heavily.
