Kiah was silent for a moment before sighing, heavily.

"Well, that's what happened. She'd be so proud of you." Kiah commented, sounding a bit more like K with the venomn to her voice.

"I have no idea what happened, but I'll do whatever I can to stop you from doing it, if I can get back home."

"What the hell do you mean by that?" he asked her.

"....." he then paused, as things started to click together.

"You... didn't regress." he said.

"You're not K." he realised.

"Certainly seems that way." Kiah commented as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"And while yes, I can most definitely agree that there is a good amount of amazing stuff here, there is also enough horror that.... I will have to be picky and choosey as to what I take back." She then said.

"I refuse to let you go back down this path, Lindsay. You used to be a good man... and now......"

She didn't get a chance to finish her statement, before L walked past her, and hurriedly.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it." he cursed.

"How did this happen!?" he growled.

"And can I recreate it?" he wondered aloud.

"I need to see that data, I need to do this AGAIN." he went on.

"This HAS to be reversed!"

Kiah was silent for a moment. She'd be lying if she were to say that she wasn't surprised at him being alarmed at the apparent switch. She didn't know if that was what happened, but... the world she saw wasn't the world she knew, so it was a switch of some sort. Whether it be time or dimension, she didn't know, though.

"Let me help." She said. "I've got just as much invested in this as you do." She then said.

"Just tell me what to do."

L continued to move, and only gestured for her to follow, which she did.

They made their way back to where she had first woke up there, and he checked the data and results and such from the previous experiment on her.

"We need to recreate this." he told her, showing it.

"This is what caused the change... or switch... or whatever, I'm sure of it." he continued.

"So if we can do it again, we should be able to reverse it."

"Tell me what to do, and I'll do it."

K was silent before sighing as she looked to what all was written down.

"All right." she said.

"want to get Nathan?" She asked.

"Because it's ready to give him." As she spoke, she grabbed the vial and gave it a light shake, checking the olour it changed to.

"Yep. Definitely ready."

Ilias was silent for a moment, and then nodded.

"All right." he replied.

He then turned and left to gather Nathan, leaving her alone with her thoughts for a bit. About 5 minutes or so.

When he returned, he had Nate in tow with him.

"We're back." he said.

"All right." Nate chimed in.

"Let us do this."

K just grinned, and it looked almost malicious.

"This ... will be painful." She warned.

"Now, have a seat." She said, motioning to a chair.

"And let me drug you."

Nate just looked at her blankly, before going and taking a seat.

"Nathan, are you sure-" Ilias started to ask, but was interrupted by Nate.

"Yes. Yes. A thousand times, yes." he answered.

"I'm scared to death of what might happen, given the attitude of the one that made it." he then admitted.

"But I can't let fear hold me back." he reasoned.

K just laughed.

"You're a brave man, Nathan." She commented as she approached.

"Ready?" She asked. When he nodded, she prepped the needle - which was notably larger than he excpected, before looking to Ilias.

"Hold him." She ordered. Once Ilias had Nate in his arms, she jabbed the needle straight into his chest. She didn't go through his sternum, it was on an angle through his ribs, but right into his heart.

And what she injected felt like she injected liquid nitrogen. The cold, frigid, numbness that was spreading was alarming, and lingering.

Nate tensed up when that happened, and he started to thrash once the needle was removed.

And it was violent.

"Nathan!" Ilias yelled.

"What the hell!?" he said to K.

"I know you said that this would be painful, but what IS this!?" he exclaimed.

"...and why do I feel like he's starting to freeze from the inside-out!?" he continued, before pausing.

"Wait..." he mumbled.

"Wait, THAT'S why..." he continued, as it clicked why certain things were in the mixture now.

"It's numb and frozen or writhing in more than than his brain can take." k stated bluntly as she did what she needed to wtih the needle.

"And now, we wait. Should only take about five minutes, then his brain will shut down and restart, so to speak." She told him.

"once that happens, we'll know if this worked."

"5 minutes!?" Ilias exclaimed, as Nate continued to thrash and yell out in pain.

It seemed like an eternity, but sure enough, 5 minutes later, Nate stopped.

And slumped down, unconscious.

"...all right...?" Ilias mumbled.

"How long does the 'reboot' take?" he asked her.

"A minute? Longer? Shorter?"

"That... I don't know." K answered honestly.

"Could be an hour, could be ten seconds." She told him.

"Akthough, check his eyes. If the pupils are white, then it was a success." She added with a shrug. "If anything else, uhh, we may have broken him. Oops?"

"........" Ilias was silent as he heard that.

He then looked at Nate, and started to slowly approach.

"I..." he stammered.

"I don't... I mean..." he stuttered further.

He wanted to check his eyes, he wanted to see what had happened... but he was too scared to. He wanted to know, but at the same time, he didn't. He deliberated for about 40 seconds, before approaching Nate closer... just for the man to 'come to life' with a scream, causing Ilias to jump back and land on his ass.

They didn't see his eyes, though, as Nate had moved too quickly, and had then fallen to his hands and knees, breathing heavily, and sweating profusely.

K just quirked an eyebrow as Nate let out the scream.

"Well. I admit, I didn't actually think it'd be THAT quick." She said with a light chuckle.

"Yo. Nate, how's your vision?" She asked as she made her way over to one of the cupboards and grabbed a pretty strong pain med.

"Willing to bet you've got one hell of a headache blossoming." She added as she approached him and crouched down. She just held the bottle out to him, shaking it once to make sure she had his attention.

Nate was silent for a moment, grabbing the bottle, but not looking at her. He then raised his head, and looked right at her... where she could see his now solid-white pupils.

But before she could say anything, he yelled out.

"Oh, GOD!" he screamed, jumping back and covering his eyes.

"AH! AH!" he yelled.

"Nate!? What's wrong!?" Ilias asked.

"...was NOT prepared for that..." Nate grumbled.

"Mana blockers might be your best friend for a bit." She told him honestly.

"And maybe a blindfold. You'll be able to see perfectly fine with it in place, and I'm reasonably certain that you'd be able to acclimate it on your own. You would naturally get this skill later, Hazel on the other hand, was never meant to. " She continued.

"Ilias or Kiah can make sure to have mana blockers made up for you shortly though." She apused a moment.

"Assuming she returns,"
