Deasiree chuckled lightly as she caught the bottle of water.

'Thank you." She said before cracking it open.

"I wouldn't really buy bottled water myself." She then said.

'You're usually just paying fo the name, nothing more." She added before pausing and taking a drink. She paused afterward for a moment.

"Then you find mage owned places that have their water filtered in ways that mortal ones just can't do. I'll definitely pay for THAT stuff." She then admitted with a light laugh.

"And Jaden, it's all right. Your apology is accepted." She said.

"It... caught my by surprise more than anything. Do you not know any of the current information regarding my eye?"

Desiree just laughed. She hadn't run into anyone who honestly shared her sentiment regarding bottled water for quite a while. It seemed rather rare, because people always argued that it tasted better, therefore it was clearer, cleaner, and just better. That, obviously, wasn't always the case. At least, it was obvious to her, for whatever that was worth.

She didn't say anything though, as she was brought back to the subject at hand - her eye.

"It has changed." She stated.

'Once I knew what it was that I possessed, I did all I could to learn what it was I possessed." She then continued.

'It doesn't do anything, other than reveal to me what people, or things, are. Or in some cases, what their intent is when it is strong enough." She added

'If you would like me to leave, I have no issue with leaving." Desiree assured him before sighing lightly as she just looked around.

"I'm not entirely sure what it is that I'm doing here, to be honest." She added. "Considering how you're a vampire and I've got what some of the older generations still consider the evil-banishing eye."

"I mean, I'm willing to stay, but I don't know. It's just... it seems like you're not that interested in me and my eye being here, is all." She then said before sighing lightly.

Desiree was silent for a moment before shrugging.

"Probably." She agreed before sighing lightly.

"But, there's no way to really know without asking her, and something tells me that we won't get a quick and easy answer out of the lawyer." She added with a laugh.

'But, in all seriousness, you can find more information by reading up on it, as well." She then told him. "Most of the information I would say is actually already covered in some of the books on the subject."

Desiree was silent for a moment before laughing lightly.

'I've had to deal with a few." She admitted after a moment.

'They were never any good situations, of course, but I'km all right." She added before pausing for a moment.

'Beyond that, yeah.... Lawyers suck when it comes to asking questions to get information." She then agreed before sighing.

"And the information won't be hard to find." She then told him honestly.

"Seriously. It won't be hard, if only just because of the fact that the knowledge in question is pretty common these days."

'I doubt they would have done any good if you had tried them." Desiree then said.

"These are quite unusable for others without some serious working the dials and such." She added before shrugging lightly.

"Regardless. How about this," she started before smirking lightly, "I'll give you my number, and you text me once you've educated yourself. Sound good?"

Desiree just smirked as she grabbed a random piece of paper - which happened to be a napkin - and pulled a pen from somewhere within her hair. She quickly wrote her digits down on the napkin and held it out to him.

'Here you go." She said, her smirk in her voice.

"Now you've got the number of the cutest woman in town." She then said with a laugh. She wasn't stupid, everyone thought she was adorable, cute, and that she was a prize to behold. Every time that it was said though, it send chills down her spine - solely because of her past.

'I don't expect a quick text, of course." She then added. "Those books are rather large usually."

Desiree just chuckled, and it was absolutely adorable when she did so.

"Don't worry, I won't." She stated after a moment before just smirking.

"It'll be between you and I." She added before getting to her feet.

'Now, it was a pleasure to speak with you, but I really should head home." She added.

"Thank you again for the other night, and do have fun reading." She said with a wave before heading to the door.

Desiree just chuckled lightly as she noticed the little slit. That answered the suspicion she had regarding how he did his act quite effectively.

"Thanks." She said as she read the number, before pulling out her wallet - setting the water bottles down in mid air for a moment so she could do so - and sliding the card into it.

"I'll program your numbers into my phone later. Said device isn't actually here. It's back home charging for the moment because my battery died." She then said.

"But yes. I'll definitely keep an eye out for that text." She then said, a soft smile on her face.

"And thank you. I know I scared you at first, but you actually gave me a chance. Thank you for that."

Desiree just laughed lightly as he said what he did.

"Jaden, I'm not as delicate as most people believe I am." She told him.

'I don't cry at the first sign of trouble, and I don't run screaming any time there are differing opinions." She continued, her soft cute voice making this hard to take seriously.

"I've lived through my fair share of troubles, as most people have, and I've learned to not take everything at face value. Hence why I was willing to stay." She then paused a moment before biting her lip lightly.
