He nodded.

With that, the medic left, and he stepped inside, closing the door behind him.
He looked over to the bed that the girl was laying in, before making his way over.

She was silent before sitting up. She had a sweater on that she'd been given, since her own shirt was ruined with the shot.
"Oh! Hello." She said with a smile.
"I wish to thank you, but I am not sure I could do to show it." She then said.
"Do you have any suggestions?" She asked with a smile.
"Uh..... hm." he muttered, thinking about it.
"Well... I... that's a good question." he said.
"I can't think of anything, either." he admitted to her.
"How about telling me what happened back there?" he asked her.
"Like, I heard one of the ones in the mob scream in agony." he continued. "That your doing?"
"Well... I... that's a good question." he said.
"I can't think of anything, either." he admitted to her.

"It was, yes." She answered.
"It is one of the things I can do. And don't worry, I knwo I can tell you. It is one of the perks of sharing a headspace with someone." She then said with a sigh.
"I did not mean to pry though. Please do not worry, I did not go digging through your head." She then added.
He just shrugged his shoulders.
"I don't have anything to hide." he said.
"Well... from other mutants, anyway." he muttered.
"So... that's your power?" he asked.
"You can turn into a ghost and separate from your body?" he asked further. "And... like... possess people and stuff?" he inquired.
"Or am I off base?"
"I don't have anything to hide." he said.

"No. You are quite close." She answered.
"This body is not my original. As long as they died recently, I can take over and keep it alive as long as I need to, in the event that I need to." She told him. "Along with that, I cannot exactly possess people, but I can influence their actions quite effectively. Or just scramble their brain cells and/or nerves to cause immense pain when need be." She had an almost cruel smirk on her face, which was completely different than the sweet almost old world voice she had.
"What about yourself?" She asked. "If I may ask. I may know that you have an ability, but I do not know what it is that you can do."
He was silent as she explained her powers to him, and gulped a little.
'Wow...' he thought.
'That's... terrifying...' he thought further, before gathering himself. She'd asked him the same question he'd asked her, so it would only be polite to answer it.

"Mine's... well... I'm a gorgon, essentially." he told her.
"But my power isn't through my eyes." he said, holding up his gloved hands.
'Wow...' he thought.

"Really? That is fascinating." She commented.
"I met one other that had an ability like that in the past. Although I am speaking of far longer back than I am sure you would have been alive." She told him.
"It was skin contact, is it the same with you? And he eventually was able to control it, allowing him freedom from the gloves. Mayhaps you could reach that in the future as well."
"Yeah, skin contact." he replied.
"Mostly through my hands, though. Hence my always wearing these." he told her.
"Though not having to wear these would be great." he admitted with a small sigh.
"And... well, seems you've been around for a while." he commented, changing the subject.
"Seeing as you're speaking of a time before I was born." he went on, before pausing and thinking about it.
"Er... just how far back ARE you talking about?" he then asked her.
"Mostly through my hands, though. Hence my always wearing these." he told her.
"Though not having to wear these would be great." he admitted with a small sigh.
"And... well, seems you've been around for a while." he commented, changing the subject.
"Seeing as you're speaking of a time before I was born." he went on, before pausing and thinking about it.
"Er... just how far back ARE you talking about?" he then asked her.
"Quite." was her answer with a soft chuckle.
"I was born, in my natural body, back in the late 18oo's." She then added after a couple of seconds.
"So I have been around. It is quite fortunate to be able to bounce between bodies when one is dying. It allows me to avoid dying myself." She then said, pausing a moment and shuddering slightly.
"Death is... not very pleasant."
"Uh.... I would imagine not." he replied.
"You... clearly have more experience than I." he said.
"So... hey, listen..." he then muttered.
"Do you have... any place to go?" he asked her.
"Like... where do you live, or are you welcome anywhere?" he asked further.
"I ask because such a thing is... rare... for those like us." he commented.

"I have been staying in the flat that this girl had." She then said. " But I do not know how long I will be able to do that. I have no means of paying for the rent and other such things."

"Well... maybe the Professor can arrange something." he said.
"He helps all mutants in need." he told her.
"Oh, yeah..." he then muttered.
"I'm Jackson." he introduced himself.
"But maybe you already knew that." he chuckled lightly.

"Because you kinda have to see the professor." he then muttered, scratching the back of his head.

Sierra was silent for a moment before nodding.
"Of course." She stated.
"I assume that I am allowed to leave here, if you are mentioning that." She added after a few seconds as she got out of the bed.
"Since I was told to stay there for now."
"Ah, right." Jackson said.
"You're not alumni here." he muttered.
"Stands to reason." he said further.
"Anyway, I guess we better go." he told her, making his way to the door.
"Really shouldn't leave any of the staff waiting." he reasoned.
"It's not a good idea to be rude to your superiors in this place..." he then added.

"One would think that would be something that would extend beyond here. It is not good to be rude to anyone above oneself at any time" Sierra then commented as she followed him to the door.
"And beyond that, it is also not a good idea to be rude to anyone, no matter whether they are above or below oneself." She added.
"And never throw the first punch.... Which is why I was standing in the way of you and the others earlier." She paused a moment before smiling softly.
"Lead the way." She said, motionign with her hand. She had no idea where it was that she was going, after all.
Jackson nodded, and started to lead her through the halls of the academy.
"A good way to live." he told her.
"But sometimes one needs to throw the first punch." he said.
"There are times when it will only get worse unless one takes the initiative." he reasoned.
"But they were humans." he went on.
"I try my hardest to never use my powers on humans."

"I can completely understand that, but in those instances, you shouldn't throw the first punch. Instead, you should try and goad them into doing it themselves." Sierra commented, keeping in step with him brilliantly.
"That way there are no legal ramifications for initiating the fight." She then said. "That would rest on the other person."
