@MoodyBats: yeah, I think that the Arcade gets more posts than anyplace else right now. but maybe when the new leveling items come out it will be more active everywhere else.

so i'll be 100% lurker mode or gone from here lol

@MoodyBats: It will at somepoint, and when you are willing to draw avatars, or something else please let me know. I'd love to have something drawn by you someday.

awe, thank you for saying so, I drew something days before Christmas, that I only showed to a few people, because I need to work on it a bit more. but my other half saw me drawing it, and coloring it. but he wanted to get me a new computer or tablet with a drawing program I said. I don't need either I still have a fast laptop with a artsy program. it might be and old artsy program but it still works. so I showed him, that I'd rather have things that cost less. than a brand new computer computer or tablet. I'd rather draw with a pencil to be honest.

@Unicorn: Well I am willing already. But no one sees. XD
I have an art shop where I do avatar art.
But i'm such a perfectionist. i'm like "IF IT LOOKS LIKE GARBAGE I CANNOT GIVE IT TO THEM"
but i'm learning that i need to make bad art.
i just feel bad my art is so bad sometimes i guess lol.

Trust me, i am super grateful when you come into my threads.
makes my day on here.
Traditional art is very helpful. also less hard to make the actual textures of things.
like digital art is nice but omg so hard to get the right texture because with digital you have to make EVERYTHING.
im struggling with coloring my 3rd eyed girl...again.
like i am trying to color her hair but for some reason the tones keep looking the same.
so i am struggling with finding my painting style.

@MoodyBats: third eye girl, is her 3rd eye showing. I love art like that. and your right it is a lot harder doing digital art. I don't think that my other half knows that yet.

plus I only draw stuff on my computer, when my little unicorn and my other half are sleeping. that is the only best time to do certain things for art.

I've been seeing some people coloring, a coloring book in sorts. I wish to have the coloring books or day planners, but I don't. but it is so awesome to see other peoples coloring skills.

once I update my avatar closet, I might have to ask you on which one you'd like to draw. I just haven't updated it in a few or so days, give or take.

and awe thank you for saying that. and I know what you mean on wanting digital art to look just right.

@Unicorn: Im using that piece for coloring practice and experiments since she is technically "finished"
but part of me is like 'she isn't finished until you fully color her hair, skin and eyes."

Yeah i know what you mean. I try to do art during the day but it almost never works out.
Most of my day is filled with chores and cooking dinner.
But then the night i don't have long to stay up to draw. :vanora_cry:

I have tons of coloring books but I am just more of a digital artist myself.
I actually do have lineart templates to practice coloring as well. I should probably do that.

That is fine with me. I normally do have people in my art shop use the art form though since
it makes it easier on me to find orders.

My dream art style in digital art is probably one of the most hardest ones because i want to achieve semi-realism.
but that means i have to have a good grasp on anatomy, coloring, blending, etc.

@MoodyBats: Oh I can understand you on that one for her not being fully colored.

Ooh you have lots of coloring books, and that does sound like a great idea to do.

I will be sure to do that after I update it all. I have a lot to add. but once it is updated you will be able to choose on which one you'd really like too draw and then just surprise me.

I can understand that, and I know what you mean. are you any good at getting the twinkle light in the eyes when drawing?

@Unicorn: That and i am really struggling with the placements and right tones.
Like I know where highlights go, and where red goes.
But picking colors as well as blending them is proving to be difficult. :vanora_cry:
There really isn't a wrong way to blend but i am just having an awful time finding a blending style i like.
and it's hard to blend her cheeks a little because of her hair. XD

My grandma when i was in GED class would give them to me when she picked me up.
there those ones where they have a lot of detail.
So I have a lot of those.

Sure thing. I do like suprise choosing references.
I'm hoping I can draw your avatar whichever I choose, well.

Twinkle eyes? I'm not sure I quite understand.

@MoodyBats: I'll. try to post a refference if I can find one later on from twinkle in the eyes.

that is very cool of your grandmother, to get you coloring books like that.

is her hair on her cheeks, is that why you can't blend it also and sorry to ask.

@Unicorn: If you mean the white on the eyes or making the eyes look
wet I can do that i think??

Yeah, though i never color in them lol.

Because part of her hair is covering most of one of her cheeks and putting down
the tone of her cheeks and blending it out is just kinda hard.
it always looks wrong no matter what lol

@MoodyBats: that is what I meant but having like two white dots in the eyes for more of a twinkle.

Ooh I see, I miss coloring but if I got some good colored pencils and the coloring books that I want I'd have to hide them from the little unicorns small grabby hands.

awe I am so sorry to hear that.

@Unicorn: Oh! Then I can definitely do that.
I actually love doing high light stuff on the eyes to make them have a shine.
It's so fun.

Kids have a way of finding things :vanora_xd:
I really need to buy some colored pencils tbh. I mostly want those color erase prisma colored pencils though.
I see tons of artists use them.

It's okay, I will just have to try a lot of things with her.
I am definitely planning to color her skin first.

@MoodyBats: I am glad to hear that it is fun for you to work on the eyes like that.

yeah I've seen a lot of people in a coloring group on fb using those types of pencils. and it all just amazes my eyes in all of the wonderful colors.

well I hope that all goes well when you color her skin.

you are 100% about kids and there grabby hand ways.

@Unicorn: Haha yeah. Even though i am not suppose to do highlights till the end.
I can't help it. I love to draw and color eyes. :vanora_heart:

How people can use them always amazes me.
Plus, their great for anatomy sketches. and sometimes just regular pencil can get dull fast. :vanora_xd:
I love using color. so probably one of my first paychecks after a phone will be for color erase prisma pencils.

Me too. I am browsing all of my refs I have on coloring skin. I am just poor at color picking.
But with a lot more practice I'll get better at it.

Haha yeah. I use to be like that as a kid. :vanora_sweat:

@MoodyBats: Ooh I know what you mean, a few people posted there christmas gifts of all of the prisma colored pencils even of the skin colored pencils like all of the nudes, and browns.

Awe I am so sorry to hear that you want to highlight but are to wait.

I might have been that way as a kid, but I don't remember being that way at all.
