Demitra paused a moment before shruuging.
"Pick a tree." she told him.
"I'm good with this one, so pick any other. Aside from young trees, of course."

Jaden looked around as she said what she did.
"All right." he said.
He then made his way to a particularly robust and sturdy-looking tree.
"Guess this one will do." he commented.
He then grasped the axe with his hands, and slammed the blade into the wood, the impact sounding sharp and solid... like Jaden had some strength behind him.
However, it was nowhere near Demitra's. He had the endurance and long-term strength to haul an entire tree, but his quick and immediate strength did not compare to the young woman's.
"All right." he said.
He then made his way to a particularly robust and sturdy-looking tree.
"Guess this one will do." he commented.

It wasn't until the sun was setting that they stopped. Jaden had brought a few of the trees back to where he'd been piling the others, and Demitra had caused little balls of fire to float around them to act as a light source. One they felled the two trees that they were working on (One for each of them, she sighed.
"All right, we should probably head back." She then said.
"Want some help with yours?" She asked, since she'd managed to section the one she'd felled off into smaller pieces and take it back to the house already.

Jaden just sighed, and wiped the sweat off of his forehead.
"I think I'm all right." he said.
"I'm tired." he told her.
"But it's a good kind of tired." he went on.
"I'm glad I was able to be useful here." he reasoned, before sighing quietly.
"But if you want this to be finished a little more quickly, then yeah... some help would... well... help." he added with a small smile.

"Might as well make myself useful." Demitra said with a light laugh.
"So come on, let's get this back to where the others are." She added as she made her way over and started to roll the tree back to where it was easier to get out of there, really.
