Jaen watched her go, and sighed.

"....what have you gotten me into, Mom..." he muttered.

-The next day-

It was early in the morning, and the sun was barely rising, as Jaden stepped out of his room and stretched his arms and back.

"All right." he said.

"I have some stuff to go out and get." he muttered, wondering if Anna was still asleep.

".....hm." Jaden muttered.

"Okie-dokie." he told himself.

He then cracked his knuckles, and opened one of the large holes he'd made before up in the wall.

Once he did, he reached through, and pulled through a double-sized bed. On it were various sizes of plant pots, as well as some bags of nutrient-rich soil, and some bags of clothing.

One he'd pulled them through, he closed the hole.

"Time to get this all set up."

He'd managed to get the bed set up in Anna's room, as well as getting rid of the air mattress.

He put the clothing on the bed, but hadn't started putting the soil in the pots yet, when he realized he was now honestly curious as to where she was.

If she'd been here at all.

He then shook his head, and started to poke around the apartment, specifically looking for her.

"Anna?" he asked.

"You around?"

".........." Jaden remained silent for a moment, before he recalled something.

He'd told Anna about the roof garden.

She had already said it was stale and stuffy in the apartment... and she WAS a draydin... so wouldn't it make sense that she was outside, around plants.

It was all he had to go on.

So he left the apartment, and made his way to the roof to see if she was there.

"Yeah, things went pretty quick." Jaden responded.

"Also, wow. This place is fresher than it's ever been." he commented.

"I assume this is your doing." he said further.

"Not that that's an issue." he continued.

"Frankly, this is an amazing improvement." he told her.

"How long have you been up here?" he then asked.

"Clearly." Jaden replied.

"It's... refreshing." he commented.

"Anyway, I'm going to fill the pots I got with soil, and distribute them around the apartment." he told her.

"Come on down when you're ready." he said.

"Also, hungry?" he asked.

Jaden looked at the small wounds, and sighed silently.

As long as they were healing, it was fine.

But he WAS wondering about the origin of the wounds. It would be something he dug for later.

The two of them then made their way to the apartment, and stepped inside.

"Whaddya want?" he asked Anna.

"Feelin' like anything?"

"....right." he said.

"Yeah, sure." he said further.

"Go and get changed." he then told her.

"There's clean clothes in your room." he said.

"I'll make something 'not halfbreed' for you."

"Mmhmm." Jaden mumbled, as he seemed to be doing some work on the stove he was in front of.

Anna didn't smell blood, but she did smell meat.

She smelled steak and chicken... as well as various spices and sauces. Probably marinades and such.

"This should be done soon." he told her.

"You want anything besides meat?" he asked.

"Veg, salad, any sides or anything?" he asked further.

"Good." Jaden replied.

"That's all I got." he told her.

"Don't like heavy dressings." he said further.

"Anyway, go and sit somewhere, and I'll bring you food." he went on.

"Sit and watch TV if you want, or whatever you like."
