"It's about 3 in the afternoon." Ryker replied.

"And yeah, there's books." he said.

"Check in the brown trunk under the bottom bunk bed." he told her.

"There should be a few in there. Around 15 or so." he continued.

"See if any of them are to your liking."

Ryker sighed.

"No, I don't want you sick." he said.

"However, fish ARE more active in the rain." he reminded him.

"I DID bring rain gear as well, just so you know." he continued.

"In case it does rain, but you still want to go fishing."

Ryker was silent as well for the majority of the trip, only speaking up after about 2 and a half hours.

"Almost there." he said.

"Ready to fish?" he asked.

"Because it hasn't starting raining yet. Looks like it might hold off for another couple hours."

"Cool." Ryker said, turning off the main road and down a dirt road.

"20 minutes or so, and we'll be there." he told him.

And sure enough, 20 minutes later, he stopped the RV in a bit of a clearing, and Eke could see a gorgeous crystal lake before him, surrounded by untouched nature.

"Wow." Ryker said.

"This looks good."

Ryker had followed him to the lake, and was looking around, stopping when he heard Eke speak.

"Hm?" he mumbled.

"Sup?" he asked.

"There a problem?" he asked further, looking into the water.

"..." he was silent, gazing upon it.

'Looks deep. Lotta fish, too...' he thought.

Ryker was... shocked... to hear the request.

"Swim...?" he asked.

"I..." he stammered.

"I can certainly try." he told him.

"We may want to go to a more shallow part of the lake, though." he then suggested.

Ryker could sense that Eke was scared, and sighed internally.

"Come on." he said, taking a few steps back and taking Eke with him.

"It's not helpful if you're panicking." he told him.

"So the first thing we need to do is make sure you feel safe." he continued.

"Hanging around the deep end isn't going to help anything. So just take a few breaths and concentrate on the face that you're on dry land right now." he told him further.

"Good." Ryker responded.

"Come on." he said.

The two of them then walked along the edge of the lake, eventually stopping after a couple of minutes.

"Hmmm." Ryker mumbled, grabbing a large stick.

He then plunged it into the water, and it stopped after a short time.

"This water is a little below your knees." he told Eke.

"We'll start here."

"Right." Ryker said in response.

He kicked off his own shoes and socks, as the two of them made their way to the edge of the water.

Ryker stepped in first, and Eke could see that the very shallow part of this was up just past his ankles.

"Come on." he said, extending a hand.

"You can take those first steps."

"I know, it's cold." Ryker said.

"But you get used to it." he told him.

"Now... just a little bit more." he went on, leading Eke a few steps further in, until the water was an inch or two above his ankles.

"There's a dip here." he warned.

"It'll go right to your knees." he continued.

"Want me to gently lift you down into it?"
