"And we have SO much fresh fish." he continued, looking at the carcass he was filleting.

"I'll bet it will even satisfy YOUR appetite!" he laughed.

"But seriously, you hungry?" he asked.

"Because there's a LOT of fish to cook up here."

Ryker just laughed.

"IF we're lucky!" he declared.

With that, he rigged a cooking set up, and slapped a bunch of fillets on a pan, and they started to sizzle away, filling the area with a delectable aroma of fish.

"All for you." he told Eke.

"I'm not super hungry right now." he said.

"So when these are done, feel free to devour them ALL."

"You sure? I mean...its a lot" he said leaning back

"Then again...i am super hungry. All that...being in the water..." he said shuddering just a little

"Just takes time." Ryker responded.

And in very little time, the fillets were cooked up, and Eke could see the light golden brown they turned.

Ryker emptied them all onto a plate, and handed them over.

"Dig in." he said.

"I need to carve the rest of this monster up, then toss the rest of the carcass for some wild animals to probably gnaw it."

He takes the plates and looked to the sky.

"Oh!" he said jumping up. He ran into the Rv and got his phone.

He returned and called Aly, taking a big bite of fish

The phone rang for a few seconds, before it was answered.

"Hello? Eke?" Aly said, having checked the caller I.D.

"How are you doing?" she asked.

"Having fun on your guys-only trip?" she chuckled.

Ryker was a bit confused about the sudden call... he wondered what Eke was thinking about right now.

"Hey Aly!" he said his voice excited

"Guess what! I went into the water!" he said nearly bouncing and taking a big bite

"Like...waist deep!" he added

"Really?" she asked.

"Up to your waist???" she asked further.

"I was there!" Ryker call out so she could hear it. "He did! Right up to his waist! Didn't panic!" he added.

"Eke, I'm so proud!" Aly beamed.

"Congratulations!"

"Thanks. I...i was really excited to tell you" he said smiling softly

"Oh! Aly! I heard it!" he said finishing off a fillet.

"The sound of nature. I...i heard it" he said growing excited again.

There was a brief silence on the other side, but Eke caught Aly's shocked breath that she had taken.

"You... you did?" she asked.

"Eke..." she said further.

"That's... that's amazing." she told him.

"That's wonderful!" she then said.

"That's truly wonderful." she repeated, and he could almost hear the tears of happiness she was shedding.

He blushed deeply and smiled.

"I'll have Ryker brig us all here sometime..." he said his voice going soft and sweet.

"I love you" he said leaning back

"And I miss you dearly." she told her.

"Looking forward to when you boys get back." she continued, before pausing.

"We BOTH are." she added.

Meanwhile, Ryker was making a note of this place.

He'd heard what Eke said about them all coming back, so he would remember where this was.

"Your girlfriend misses you" he teased

"I miss you too Aly..." he said with a smile on his face.

"Be good...i love you, i need to get going so i can eat"

Ryker was silent for a moment, before chuckling.

"Heh." was all he said.

"All right." Aly responded.

"You go and eat." she told him.

"We'll talk later. Love you, too." she finished.

Ryker then sighed, and finished getting all the good meat he could off of the large fish.

"I'm off to toss the carcass." he said.

Eke looked at him as he hung up the phone.

He sort of just stared at Ryker.

Then he grinned...and grinned bigger.

He grabbed more food taking a large bite grinning to himself like he knew something quite funny.

This had not gone unnoticed by Ryker, and he raised an eyebrow.

".....what?" he asked.

"You're grinnin' like a fool-idiot trying to not laugh his arse off." he commented.

"What's up?" he asked him, lifting the carcass up off the ground.

"Or is that a secret?"

Unable to hold in his laughter, he doubled over laughing.

"No its not a secret i was just thinking about how far youve come" he said

"I mean...not that long ago you were looking to die, you were grumpy and cold" he explained sitting up and looking at the stars

"Now you get embarrassed when i tease you about your girlfriend...and you get the softest look in your eyes..." he finished

Eke smiles and leans against Ryker.

"Did you ever think before we met, that youd come to see anyone as family?" he asked, his voice however sounded like he was drifting off

He had eaten quite a bit of fish, and even left his last serving half eaten.
