"Do you...want me to go?" He suddenly asked. He knew he had health problems and didnt want to be a burden.

He looked to the ground poking at a dead crunchy leaf. He felt kind of gloomy after his near death experience. His hair had fallen over his face concealing his slight pout.

He sighed messing with the leaf till it was nothing but dust.

He sat up looking at Ryker hopefully. "S-so I can stay?" His voice was soft.

He didn't want to go, but he knew that he didnt want to end up a burden. "I know I'll slow you down at some point, but I do want company. Protection is always good."

He brushed some hair from his face. "You seem lonely anyways"

Eke just smiled. He popped a candy in his mouth. He was always eating candy, so it didnt make much sense that he was so underweight.

"Do you have a jacket or something? its kind of cold" He pulled on his thin sleeves. He pulled out a small bag that was almost empty and pulled out a candy for ryker.

"I dont have many left but, you can have one if you want" he smiled. He felt that every time Ryker took a candy, they bonded a little more.

He gratefully put the too big jacket on smiling. He stood up looking at the wood.

"Whats that for?" He asked curious. His eyebrows raised as he walked over.

Eke didnt know much about the world, having to deal with his issues for so long. He rather like Ryker however.

"How do you know so much?" His yellow eyes sparkled with awe and amazement. He got close to the fish watching it cook.

"So cool!" He wanted to dig in right then. A little raw fish had never hurt him. His tail swished back and forth much like a cat's.

"When will it be ready?" he looked at Ryker practically drooling.

"Wow...its so big!" he looked at it, as if inspecting it. He then shoved a good chunk into his mouth before nearly swallowing it whole. With each bite, collor slowly returned to his face.

"Could have used salt but thats okay." He grinned. "Filling for sure!"

He soon finished his fish and looked at ryker. "Is there...any more?" He hadnt realised he was so hungry.

He made a sort of squeal before biting off the too hot fish.

"Aah aah! hot!" he fanned his tonguetrying t4o look at it, making for quite a comical sight. He began to eat the fish slab. His pale cheeks now rosy.

"Are you going to eat anything?" he tilted his head. "Also you look nicer when you smile"

"I could just drink from the river." he finished his steak and layed back.

"That was good!" he smiled. Eating so much made him drowsy. "Do you have anything high in sugar content?"

He suddenly sat up knowing he needed more candy soon.

He nodded and picked out the fruit. It was different.

"Wow...thats...wow!" he had never had fruit before. His mother only gave him processed sugar or medication to help.

"Can we get more of this!?" he beamed loving the taste better than just candy all the time..

"No never" He shook his head smiling. He was fascinated and felt like he couldnt stop.

He finally stopped himself and sighed. "Man im full" he couldnt remember the last time he felt that way.

"Hyperthyroidism isnt fun. Im always hungry" he sighed.
