"Of courfse he's not happy." She commented.

"He really shouldn't be." She added after a moment before sighing lightly.

"I know I'm not. How'd this thing get in?" She asked. "And if it was brought in by someone, how'd they get it in?"

"And I'm reasonably sure it wasn't Casey Kiczys. She reported that she was going to be out of town helping her mother in law in Toronto for the next few days."

He then approached the statue, and looked it over.

"...amazing craftsmanship." he commented.

"...almost disturbingly so." he went on.

"It the sort of thing nightmares are born from, actually."

"Especially when you keep in mind that they move." Averie agreed after a couple of seconds, still not taking her gaze off of the statue.

"What I want to know, is how the hell we got this thing in here." She then said with a light sigh.

"Because seriously? That's just weird. It was NOT there earlier. Check the footage, I know it wasn't."

"Ya think, Charles?" She asked, already sensing the headache from dealing with him like this.

"I found this thing here as I got up to finally head home tonight." She continued.

"When I noticed that thing across the room. I looked around to see if anyone else was in here, and looked back... just to find it closer, where it is now."

Allen just sighed, and nodded.

"Yeah, sure." he replied, looking at Averie.

"I'll keep inspecting this thing." he told her. "See if I find anything."

Averie just sighed before waving to Allen and heading off with her boss.

"That's exactly what I'm saying. Although I didn't blink, I actively looked away from it." She told him simply, and rather plainly.

"I know it sounds insane, I'm having a hard time believing it, as I've never heard of anything akin to this - aside from in a BBC series." She then said.

"But that's seriously what happened."

"....a BBC series?" Charles asked.

He then grimaced, and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Great." he said.

"Now we're equating these things to fictional entities." he growled.

"Averie, listen, we need to find out what's going on around her, and Kiczys is the only-" he started to say further, before they both heard a sickening 'crack', followed by a dull thud.

Averie froze when she heard the crack, followed by the thud.

"Am I right in assuming you heard that too?" She asked after a second or two. She pulled her gun out of its holster, despite knowing it would do nothing, and made her way back into the room, her superior following.

What they found once they were there though, was hard to explain.

The statue wasn't there, and at first glance, nor was Allen. They found him on the floor at the other side of the room though, dead from a broken neck.

Averie just sighed as she put her gun back where it was and met Charles' eyes.

"Still want to say that this is done by a depressed woman?"

Charles' face was frozen in shock and disbelief, his jaw hanging open.

"Wh... wh..." he stammered.

"What the hell!?" he exclaimed.

"There's no possible way this can be real!" he shouted, as he looked around, and then looked down the hallway, back and forth.

"And where did that statue go!?" he exclaimed further.

"What in the name of all things is going ON here!?"

"That's just it, I don't know." Averie said before sighing and calling for an ambulance, due to how this needd to be called in, before there were rumours about a death in the precinct.

"I have no idea what it is that is going on, but do you believe the possibility, the chance, of it not being a depressed lady, now?"

Charles was silent for a moment, before gnashing his teeth.

"Gnnnnrgh..." he uttered, not quite making a real work or utterance.

"That damn Sharp." he said.

"Thinks he SO much better than us." he spat.

"Whatever." he then said further, whirling around on his heels and storming out of the room.

"DO IT!" she heard him call back to her.

"I refuse to speak to that ass!"

Averie was silent before sighing lightly as he stormed off. After the EMT's arrived and had taken care of the fact that Allen's body was still there, she made her way back to her desk and sat down. She scrolled through her contact book before sighing and grabbing the phone. She really didn't want to call him, since it should be Charles, not her, but someone had to do it.

After being put through to his phone specifically, she greeted him after he'd answered.

"Good Evening, my name is Averie Winchester and I kno0w it should be my superior calling you, but... " she paused, wanting to be less professional, but realising she had to keep the professional tone, "he's currently preoccupied with a recent development here." After he'd inquired for more information for who she was, and she gave it, she continued.

"I'm going to cut the shit. We got what I'm pretty sure is a mana case, and we've only got mortal means here." She stated bluntly.

"I can fax the information if you are willing to look into it and possibly take it, otherwise I am so terribly sorry for wasting your time."

".....I'm going to take a stab at this, and assume it has to do with statues?" he asked.

"...yes. It does." Averie replied.

"We're already working on it, but if you wish to officially transfer control over to us, then feel free to do so." Sharp responded.

"Also, I'm well aware of what your superior thinks of me." he then told her.

"Frankly, I have more to say about him, but it would be unprofessional of me." he added.

He then proceeded to tell her what she needed to do, the forms to fill out, and the email address to send them to.

"Simple as that." he finished.

"Once you send it, it's officially out of your hands." he told her.

"...and be careful, Officer Winchester." he then said.

"These things are highly dangerous, and a menace."
