@Unicorn: As far as I know, the gameplan is ALWAYS laparoscopic.
But one thing can lead to another and theyu could need to change to being open instead. I dunno.

But I'm sure I'll be find. What I'm gonna have done is one of the most common sugeries to be done, as far as I know. =)

Seriously. Basically, the surgeon will make a few small incisions to send a camera and other tools through, instead of slicing and openin' you up tp physically see the organ.

@Unicorn: Exactly.
Even if for one reason or the other, it ends up being open... I may not be the most impressed, but I don't think it'd be a huge deal. AS you said, as long as everything is done right =)

And the hospitals in the city I'm in get pretty good results. We've got the best children's hospital in the region even~<3
I'm sure I'll be fine. Pained, but fine afterward =)
