I dunno :o Maybe once the thread is open for posts, we can let people like... nominate all their favorite movies/shows, and then we can take a little vote?
That makes sense to me. My follow up question is, will their be a rating limit? True the movie won't be on Voltra itself, but I feel iffy about picking R rated films.
I think we should aim to follow Voltra's rules for the most part even while off-site. I say "for the most part" because there's obviously gonna be a lot of chaos off-site, and no one can really enforce site rules off-site--but at the same time, I think people can be reasonably expected to behave themselves, and if they don't, whoever owns the room we're using to stream the videos can just kick out the offender.
Yeah I agree with that. So Pg-13 movies, since if I read correctly Voltra aims for Pg-13 while on site.
Yep, that sounds about right. :D
Since it's October, maybe the first round of voting and suggestions should be a Halloween theme.
Hey, that's a great idea! I think I have an idea of what I'll nominate, in that case... :o Also, here's the url to the thread: https://www.voltraonline.com/forum/view_topic/1382
I'll keep updating it with information!

Lol you've already heard me praise it, but I know the movie I'm going to nominate, and surprising it's a G-rated movie.
I actually haven't seen the one I'm going to nominate, but I really want to see it! :o
Ooo lol what movie would that be?
Ah fuck I just realized: This might actually go against Voltra's forum rules... "movie streaming sites" aren't allowed under the "illegal content" rule, but I wonder if they'd allow movies streamed from Netflix to a small group?
@superbearwars: It is a legal option, so it should be fine.
@Another Movie Addict: Hmm... Yeah, you're right, I just feel like it could be kind of "grey area" and I don't want things to get messy. BUT if we stick to Netflix/other legal streaming services, I think it would probably be fine. I'll definitely ask a mod before our first stream LOL.
@superbearwars: Good idea, it's better to be sure before we do anything. I wonder how you would group screen from Amazon.
I wonder when would be a good time to schedule our first movie night? Maybe on a Saturday afternoon for Americans, evening for Europeans?
@superbearwars: Eh maybe. Which American noon though? I think you should go with your timezone's time, and that way people can figure out the right time where they live.
Hmm, good point. Maybe 5 or 6 PM Central? If we can't find a good, balanced time for everyone, we can always do an "American" time for one movie and a "European" time for another movie.
@superbearwars: 6pm Central would be 7pm for me, which is fine. But definitely on a weekend.
I was thinking Saturday, since that would still be Sunday for the EUs and give them time to rest the next day from being up late. :o I thought I'd give people a week to nominate their favorite movies and a week to vote on which movies they wanted to see--but then again, now that I think about it, people are just going to vote on their own movies. Maybe we'll put a system in place so you have to vote for someone else's movie?
dear Lord I need a new signature someone help me
@superbearwars: Hrm that's a good point, definitely put in a rule to not pick your own movie. But like the giving them a week for each stage of deciding. Might be able to do a movie night twice a month that way. No more than that though, or it'd getting really annoying very quickly. Trust me. I did a movie a day challenge in Jan. and that was a bad idea.
