"......." Rene was silent as Lilim said what she did.

"Ah... I..." he stammered.

"Prize?" he asked.

"Eh... heh." he chuckled nervously, taking an unconscious step back.

"Listen, I... I, uh... l-listen..." he then stammered.

"Maybe... maybe not do this...?"

Lilim looked a thim almost quizzical.

"I'm a demon. What do I care what you think?" She asked with a smirk.

"I'll damn well take what I please - but you know you want it too." She then said as she stepped up to him. She stood just shy of his height, and while being so close, he could see - quite clearly - the shifting metallic swirls in her eyes, she was so close.

"We both know you want what I have to offer." She commented, a smirk to her voice before just reaching up and pulling him down the incgh to her. She gave him a kiss that he could easily melt in... before he felt a sudden clarity and shoved away.

She just laughed and sat down.

"That should help you not fall and do what you apparently don't want to do with me."

Rene was wide-eyed and breathing heavily, before he shook his head slightly.

"Ngh." he grunted.

"Listen." he said.

"I'm all for fun. But there's a time and a place for everything." he went on.

"Besides, what about-" he started to ask, before they heard Lex.

"Hey!" he called to where they were.

"Everything cool!?"

"What about him?" Lilim asked, her voice curious.

"Not... sure why he would mater, to be honest." She added with a shrug before looking tin the direction the call had come from.

"Suppose we should answer him, at least."

Rene was silent as he looked in the direction of where Lex had called from.

"......ah..." he stammered.

"Hey, Lex!" he called back.

"Just making sure she's okay!" he said.

This was something new for him.

It was a new sensation.

For the first time, ever, he felt like... prey.

He wasn't the predator.

Lilim just smirked as she stayed where he was.

"On edge, I'm guessong." She said after a moment or two.

"I wouldn't be surprised, to be honest." She added. "Since... there's plenty of things that you are rather... hmm... different at the moment."

"What are yoi going to do in response?" She then asked, almsot as if she was attempting to taunt him.

Rene was... conflicted.

On one hand, he felt like prey.

But on the other hand, his predatory desires were rising.

Rapidly.

He knew this woman was stronger than him. She was more capable than him.

But she was injured.

And he was a predator. An apex predator.

But that was on his own turf. The water.

This wasn't the water. Did that matter? What was she doing?

All of this was causing him to sweat heavily, and he gulped audibly.

"I... I..." he stammered, before leaping forward, seemingly right towards her, hunger and desire in his eyes.

Lilim just laughed as she just laughed as he lunged for her.

She let him get a taste, before shoving him away.

"Arent' you invovled?" She asked after a moment.

"Are you sure you want to risk that?" She asked after a moment or two, a laugh to her voice.

"Open relationship." was all Rene managed to get out.

And he then lunged for her again.

About a half-hour later, Rene was sitting off to the side, a hand at the side of his head.

"....hm." he mumbled.

"Well, that was something." he said.

"I am stiff and sore all over, and I'll probably hurt for a couple of days." he went on.

"...never lost myself to stupid carnal desires quite like THAT before..." he then admitted.

Lilim was in rough shape, but that wasn't too much of a surprised. He'd really lit into her, and she could tell tha the'd enjoyed every single second of it.

Then again, when she was mosying about down in hell, her preference for torture method was of a physical nature. She knew how to tell when people were enjoying it, and she knew how to make the other part either love, or hate (or a mix of both) what she could do.

"Feel better?" She asked with a laugh.

"....yeah, I suppose so." Rene admitted.

"Regardless." he then mumbled.

"I should... probably go." he told her.

"Seems you're fine. That's what matters." he reasoned, clearing his throat a little.

"I need to head back home, anyway." he then added.

"......." he was then silent, before looking at her.

"This is pointless to say, but I'll say it anyway." he commented.

"You're good."

"...." Rene was silent, before leaving the room, saying goodbye to Lex, and then using a water bubble to teleport away.

Lex, meanwhile, just sighed after Rene left.

"...." he was silent, before getting up from the couch and going to get a drink.

He wondered when Lilim would come downstairs.

And what sort of expression would she be wearing?

...and why did he care so much?

Why was this bothering him?

It didn't take too long fo rher to make her way down, and when she stepped into the room that Lex was, he could see that she looked like she hurt a bit... and had more bruises than before.

A couple of months later, she stepped into her office at work. There was no one in there, which was good. She needed to hang around for about an hour before heading home, just in case any of the students needed her help.

But she was honestly hoping no one came knocking. She was getting a headache, and hoped that it wouldn't be exacerbated, but she wouldn't reject if someone did come knocking.

After about half an hour, it seemed like nobody was showing up.

However, just then, there was a knock on her door.

It was light, but there was conviction behind it... and there was something else.

She couldn't put her finger on it, but something seemed... off.

Like there was... something on the other side of the door.

Danger? No, that couldn't be right. Could it?

Or was she just tired and out-of-sorts?

She sighed before straightening up a bit.

"Come in!" She called, not interested in getting up for the moment, as she knew that she may need to, but she was dead tired.

As she waited for whomeve rit was to make their way in, she grabbed a notepad, knowing that she would likely need to take some notes, as she often did.

There was silence for a moment, before the handle turned slowly. The door opened, and an adult figure stepped inside. They were wearing a trenchcoat, and had a large hat on, covering their face, and seemed to be moving slowly.

"....greetings." they greeted her, the voice showing them to be male.

"You are... Miss LeBlanc?" he asked.

"Aimee Leblanc?" he then clarified, shutting the door behind him and quickly locking it when he did.

"I have some business to speak with you about." he told her.

"Regarding your brother, actually." he added.

She was silent for a moment when he asked her name.

".... Yes. I am Aimee." She answered, her voice wary.

"... What kind of anything has my brother gotten himself into?" She then asked in return. The main thing be could think of for what may have happened, was one of his clients not playing nice. It had happened before, but it was a rare occurrence. Thankfully.

" And who are you?"

"What has he gotten himself into? More than he bargained for." the man responded.

"And me? I'm part of that." he said.

He then took off his hat, revealing his dark grey skin and pointed ears.

And his cruel smile.

"See, I'm someone that he's becoming a thorn in the side to." he told her.

"And... well, he's a fool that won't listen to reason." he continued.

"So, sadly, it's going to have to come to this."

Aimee was silent for about thirty seconds before sighing and getting to her feet. She was able to largely avoid looking like as crummy as she felt for the moment.

"He tends to be a thorn sometimes. What's going on?" She asked, on the defensive as she was sure was to be expected at this point. She didn't move aside from getting to her feet. She wanted to be able to move quick if she needed to, but... the dark skin, the long ears, the white hair...

She knew she was in over her head.
