"Sorry about that." he apologised. "It didn't occur to Azazel that you wouldn't be able to handle her aura in such a weakened state." he explained.

"I don't blame him. He was panicking and just wanted to get you help." he continued.

"Regardless, you should be able to tolerate it now." he went on.

"And you should be safe here." he then said further.

"We've put up some strong necromantic barriers to keep out any troublesome hell denizens." he added.

"Honestly, it'd be better if I left. My own ass is grass if I'm found again, really don't need to be draging others into this shit I gota deal with." She then said.

"But from all Iv'e been able to gather, you aren't one to listen to that... and the barriers may help. I won't lie on that front." She paused a moment before meeting his gaze.

"Is there anything I can do for you in exchange?"

Lex laughed in response.

"Yeah, I can be stubborn like that." he said.

"And anything you can do? I... dunno, admittedly." he went on.

"I mean... aside from general helping, I guess?" he shrugged.

"I don't know that much about you." he then said. "I mean, I know who you are and your family's prestige, but I don't know anything about YOU." he clarified.

"What are your talents? What can you do, mana-related or no?" he asked further.

While to some, this could have been seen as invasive prying, Lex genuinely just wanted to know more about Lilim.

"My mana can do... pretty much anything." Lilim answered.

"I haven't found something that I couldn't do." She added. "Well... ... wait, no. I could revive the dead, it just isn't pretty. So technically I can do it." She shrugged here as she stuck her hands into her pockets.

"Want me to do anything to test my limits? Because, seriously. I don't think there are any."

Lilim just sighed lightly.

"Tends to happen when a dead elf is sent after you." She commented offhandedly. At his puzzled expression, she elaborated.

"One of my siblings has a specificly strong and powerful dark elf as their pet. Said elf has a particular interest in me because I look relatively young." She started, "And as a result, he really knows how to fuck me up, in more than one way. Along with that, his mana is boosted by the realm, and since I don't have a pet of any sort any longer, I'm now more susceptible to him than I was before. So that's fun."

Lilim paused a moment before smirking. There was a darkness to the expression that made the air seem to quiver in fear.

"Why don't you asked Aza?" She asked. "He'd be able to explain it better than I."

"He may not want to, though. But perhaps he'd actually enjoy informing someone." She shrugged here.

"But if you don't want to ask him, what do you think of when someone says that they own someone as a pet?"

"Considering it's hell, there are definitely some perks to being owned by someone of the standing of my family and I." Lilim commented with a light shrug.

"To be honest, I kind of miss having someone doting on me like that. I used to have Aza before he got that set up with the boss." She then said.

"But that's completely dead now anyway. That contract is as if it never existed in the first place." She looked to Lex here.

"So, how about you tell me about you. If I'm hanging around here, I'd rather know who I'm not killing or fucking with."

Lex raised an eyebrow for a moment.

".....hm." he mumbled.

He seemed to be thinking about something for a seconds, before shaking his head.

"Me?" he asked.

"Well, I'm a necromancer." he told her.

"Duh." he said.

"Was homeless with my sister as kids, until someone found us and gave us an actual life." he continued.

"....I have narcolepsy." he then added.

"Yeah, I knew about the necromancy. Kinda how we initially met." Lilim commented.

"Did not know about being homeless though." Continued before pausing. "And I'm guessing the narcolpesy is why I found you sleeping in the middle fo the day?" She asked.

"Not that it really matters. Just means I can ravage ya and you'd be none the wiser, so all good in my books." There was a smirk to her voice, but the qustion was whether or not she was serious.

"Ah, yes." he said.

"Yeah, I do tend to nap a lot." he admitted.

"But... the more I think on it... the more I'm not sure I would be 100% opposed to that..." he then said further.

Lilim had been about to say something before Lex finished what he was saying. She just paused, obviously having not expecting that kind of reaction.

".... right then." was all she said.

"I suppose I'll keep tha tin mind." She added, not sayign that she'd not specified how she meant, and there was likely no way for him to know WHAT she had meant by it. She did fully realise where his brain had mostly likely gone, though.

Again, Lex shook his head, to bring himself back to reality.

"Ah!" he said.

"I think I know something that you could do to help us." he told her.

"We've recently upped the necromantic barrier protection on this place, and while it should be enough, there's always the chance that something can slip through the cracks." he said further.

"Would you be able to use your mana to bolster them?" he asked.

"Even if just a little bit, they'd be that much stronger and more effective at keeping out any unwanteds." he reasoned.

Lilim was silent for a moment before shrugging.

"I don't see why not." She then said after another second or two.

"Where's the edge?" She asked before pausing.

"Actually... give me a second. I can find it." She added before there seemed to be a tear in reality itself next to her. She reached her hadn and arm in, looked to be fumbling around a bit before withdrawing it. When she did so, he felt the barrier around the house vanish, break. It was broken, and it wasn't hard for him to tell. When she pulled her hand out of the tear, he could see exactly why.

She had the main quartz they used for it in her hand, in that room.

And it was glowing a deep violet that matched what she'd been covered in when he first met her.

"Yeah, that's... that's the key point of it all." he told her.

He then looked around, a bit nervous that the barriers were down, before looking at the quartz again.

"Hmmmmmmmmmmm..." he murmured, looking closely at it.

"Good to know." She then said before replacing the deep violet coloured quartz back where she found it, through that same tear in reality.

"Not sure if that's going to help overall, as it might be a beacon for those that would be after me to find me, but it should definitely help with others." She then said simply.

"Beyond that, only thing we can do is wait and see." She paused a moment, "Unless you want me to test it myself. I may not be able to return to hell, but I can certainly pull souls from there up."

He then crossed his arms over his chest, and pondered the idea further.

"Or would it make a difference?" he asked further.

"I mean, it'd be nice to know just HOW effective this would be in driving that dark elf back." he then reasoned.

"Well, I'm going to step out of the range of the barrier, put out a calling card for the bastard, and come back into the range so that we ccan test it. I'm sure it would do absolutely nothing if my family came up onto the surface though, admittedly."

"So, shall I? Can't guarantee I'd return in perfect condition, but I should most certainly be better than the first time you met me."
