@jolly: Ooof, yeah sometimes I get busy at work and completely miss lunch, but at least I'm not up on my feet all day like you are. >.<
Man, I'd still be using my bamboo if my friend didn't give me her intuos. This one's almost too big for me. Takes up most of my desk but I only use a lil tiny part of it lol.
Rather than getting a display tablet I just bought an iPad so I can have that functionality on the go.
@moodybats:
Its alright, theres nothing wrong with the pad-style tablets :D They are definitely better for preserving space.
my cintiq is far too bulky and thats the only thing I hate about it when I live in such a small room.
but man, I hear you there. I need more income lol
@priestess of pie:
Well at least I get to sit in class xD except on thursdays. But yeah, ngl my tummy had the longest, weirdest sounding growl while I was working on this lady's hands and it was slightly embarrassing.
Oh geez, did she get a large size intuos or did I forget how big they are? It HAS been a while xD
I swear though Ive never heard of bamboo tablet pens not breaking. Like people are always sending them to get fixed within a year or 2. Maybe that many people just dont take care of them!
the tablet itself I've heard great things of though.
@koneko:
Oh yeah? I think its a useful way of practicing. Using bases you can see how others chose to place pixels strategically and its like "Ohhhhh"
at least for me haha

@Jolly: yeah. Some come in smaller sizes that I like.
But idk. they're too nice for the lifestyle I live in.
I'd probably damage it. :vanora_sweat:
Yeah. I need a job overall.
Which i am still practicing for.

@priestess of pie:
I've heard that since like, 2010 or whenever I started focusing on drawing tablets. But, again, these are probably all just kids not taking care of things. I sold a bamboo pen so someone a week ago at my job and her mother seemed pretty fussy at her for breaking her other one, as if she was just careless with it. haha :vanora_sweat:
@moodybats:
oh no, I'm talking about ones without screens! thats what I mean by pad-style haha
I have a job but my college demands soooooo much more time from me this year, I had to cut back my work hours a lot. I get income just.. barely lol

I'm still debating to do the contest my friend
told me to do or not.
I am very emotional and not in a good way today.
So my brain can't make up it's mind.
I've just done freelance none-art stuff.
But caption work. I only have $3 though lol.

@priestess of pie:
Thats awesome its lasted so long <3 Ive only worn out a tablet once, where its micro-usb plug in stopped working so I couldnt charge it anymore. This was before the wireless model came out, and all my travelling had me often plugging and unplugging it.
My other tablet I gave to a friend's sister when I got my cintiq.. like, 5 years ago?
@moodybats:
Aww, well I wont push you in any direction if you're not feeling well. Sorry if I've rubbed you wrong!
Perhaps decision making would be better for another day

So I remembered a decent phone app for pixels called DotPict. I haven't touched it in a while but it looks like they updated the tools recently and made it a lot easier to use (with selections, ability to modify pallette after beginning, and others). I like the way the controls are set up because you can see the image while putting pixels down. No fat thumb in the way. Can't do transparent though so you'll still have to do touch up in another program if you need it.
I made this in DotPict with a pre-generated pallette (minus the transparency)
@priestess of pie:
Ohhh If its for apple products too I could check it out on my ipad! Although I do like having transparency options, its not that hard to fix it elsewhere.
I like the fairy <3 the eyes are really cute
