". . . I could definitely go for a drink." She then said.

"I feel like I haven't had much." She added.

"As for what, I dunno really what is available and don't really care. Just... something refreshing, I suppose?"

"....refreshing..." Adym mumbled.

"I'll bet I can make up something." he told her.

"Something nice and citrusy." he went on.

"One moment." he said, disappearing from the room.

About 5 minutes later, he returned with a pitcher of what looked to be punch, and a pair of glasses.

"Freshly made." he said with a chuckle.

"Try it." he told her, pouring her a glass and offering it.

"Awesome, Kyr'avna." Callie responded with a light chuckle before accepting the grass and trying what was in there.

"Ohh... this is surprisingly tasty.' She commented after a few seconds.

"I wasn't sure what to expect."

"Glad you like it." he said.

"Should give you some energy as well." he commented.

"...also, I've noticed something." he then said further.

"I think the lock on your memories is cracking." he told her.

"You've been understanding and speaking the elven language... and you're aware of some of our customs." he went on.

"When I haven't outright said anything about that."

Callie was silent for a moment.

"Customs?" She asked.

"Like what?" She paused a moment, seeming to be thinking about it, wanting to see if she could figure it out herself.

"The language, sure. I could buy that. I can speak far more than just English - or whatever it's called here."

"Well, just the one, so far." Adym responded.

"On our way to the forest, you wore your quiver on your back." he said.

"Ever since we met our impromptu guide at that cabin, you've been wearing it at your waist." he told her.

"It's a sign of respect and honour amongst us wood elves." he continued.

"And I don't see you changing that suddenly for no reason." he then added.

Callie didn't say anything for a moment before just laughing lightly.

"I guess that's why Dad always stressed to have it on my hip instead." She commented after a moment.

"Honestly never would have guessed that it was because of you elven ones." She added before pausing.

"Although, assuming you're not lying to me about the whole royalty thing, it would make sense that he'd attempt to impart ----- wait. I wasn'te ven in this world for so long. If my hair is anything to go by, I'm one of the cruxes. .... wouldn't that fuck with shit here?" She asked

Adym shook his head.

"No." he replied.

"This world and the other world are connected." he told her.

"Essentially, they're close enough that a crux's influence can still be felt in this world, if they're in the other one." he continued.

"But, in theory, if there are other realms out there... ones further away... it could mess with things here, yes." he then admitted.

"Just not... the Earth realm." he finished.

"....if that makes sense." he added at the end.

"Even still, though." She then started before pausing as there was a knock on the door.

"Guess you should answer that."

He then made his way to the door and opened it, revealing an elf from his home.

"Ah." he said.

"Yes?" he addressed them.

"How can I help you?" he asked.

"And yes, Callie IS still here." he added, in case that was what they were visiting him about.

"Of course." They said with a nod.

"You and her are to go and speak with Prefect Mervyn." They told him simply.

"He wishes to speak with the two of you, having recevied some information from a trusted source."

Adym was stunned for a moment.

"Ah... y-yes, of course." he responded.

"I'll get her immediately." he told them.

He then quickly went back into the house, and towards Callie.

"We need to go." he said.

"Prefect Mervyn himself has summoned us." he told her.

"He's the head of the entire city, the one most respected by all... we shouldn't keep him waiting." he continued.

"That, and it seems he has some information from us." he then added.

Callie nodded.

"Well, that's good to know." She said before sighing lightly.

"Let's go. Better to find out sooner, rather than later." She then said as she got to her feet, a hadn on the wall to keep her balanace though. She wasn't entirely about to drop and kiss the floor, but she was most certianly a bit unsteady.

". . . any chance you could fashion me a walking stick of some sort? Not... entirely sure I could stay on feet for long, to be honest."

"....hm." Adym muttered.

"Fashion one?" he asked.

"I think I can do that, yeah." he said.

He then put his hand on the floor and concentrated, slowly raising his hand up from the floor. As he did so, several very thin trees grew from the spot, and started to twist around each other in a spiral fashion, curving down into a ball-shape at the top.

"There." he commented, removing the stick from the floor.

"Will that do?" he asked her, handing it over.

Callie accepted it, but didn't answer until she'd put her weight to it fully. When it didn't crack or break, she nodded.

"Perfect. Thank you so much, Adym." She then said before they headed off.

"wonder what we're being summoned for, though." She commented. "Because... I don't know if we should be concerned or not, to be honest."

"I don't know, either." Adym admitted.

"It could be good, it could be bad. I just... I don't know." he said.

"And it's only proper etiquette to not ask for any more information, from anyone other than then prefect." he added, wondering if that was something that had come back to her or not.

"Regardless, it's... best not to stress about it beforehand." he reasoned.

"All we can do is go along and see what happens." he sighed.

"...though I can say I am pretty sure that we're probably not in any trouble." he added with a slight laugh.

"I certainly hope we're not in trouble." Callie admitted after a moment or two.

"But yes. Let's go." She added with a nod. "Since it'd be better to not keep him waiting." With that, the pair headed off, putting in the distance needed. Granted, they weren't moving as speedily as would be normal, Callie wasn't in the best of shapes. She was all right, though, thankfully, and it was easy to see, but at the same time, it wasn't hard to see she wasn't in all the best shapes.

At least she was able to move on her own, and didn't seem abotu ready to drop. Just needed some help - hence the staff.

The reached the place where the Prefect resided in due time, and the one that escorted them there stepped inside, telling them to wait for a moment. About 30 seconds later, they stepped back outside.

"The Prefect will see you now." they told them.

Adym nodded slowly, before looking at Callie.

"Here we go." he said quietly.

The two of them then entered, and Callie saw that the place was decorated with many things that evoked a love of the planet, and nature. Plants and flowers were everywhere, the colours in the place were earthy and natural, it truly was almost like stepping into the forest once more.

"Um... excuse me?" Adym said into the place.

"We... we were summoned here?"

CAllie was silent as they stepped into the area, but was easily stunned as she looked around.

"You were." They heard as someone stepped out from the trees, to where they were. His hair was long and a gorgeous dirty blonde, his clothing was simple and slightly dirty, and he was brushing his hands off on his clothing to ge tthe dirt that was on them, off.

"An old friend stopped by while your friend was being seen." He said as he approached, his voice calm, inviting. Callie looked over to him as he said that.

"Calysta, I do believe." He then said before bowing graciously, but not overly, to her.

"Uh... yeah.." Callie said.

"Callie's fine. And ... you really don't need to do any of that" She added with a light laugh. Mervyn just nodded as he straightened up.

"Of course. Now, Adymir, I wish to say that we are in your debt." He continued, turning to the elf that Callie had arrived with.

"You and your friends are, as I am sure you're quite aware, the reason that this forest will return to it's former glory."

"Now, as a means of thanking you, there are two things I am giving you." He paused to let them react.

Adym seemed to be... almost stunned for a moment.

"You honour us with your words and praise." he said.

"Thank you." he responded, bowing to him.

"I can only hope and pray the renewal is swift." he continued.

"And... two things for us?" he asked.

"What are they?" he asked further.

He was also wondering who the 'old friend' was, but he would ask that later.
