@Fade: Forgive my uh, impulse to correct you, I'm sorry. I just get really passionate about these things ehehe ^^;;;
The thing we have to decode is technically considered a code and not a cipher.
A code uses characters or symbols to represent letters or words, whereas a cipher is when the letters of the commonly-used alphabet (We'd use the English alphabet in this context, I suppose) are merely moved around or changed to obscure meaning ^^;;

When I first saw Gravity Falls my mind was literally just like omg look at all these ciphers littered around and yeah I ended up writing them down and stuff and well I love Gravity Falls for the plot too but oh man the codes and ciphers made it complete for me lol
