@ChiffonOrange: Right! I use it for the final touches and rendering. Not to mention it does give a lot of saving options compared to many other art programs.

I wouldn't say SAI is the best but it is easy to use and requires little ram. But adding brushes is manual work, like editing files and copy and pasting it into folders.

I use Sai and clip studio :)

Never really liked painting in PS

@Lilykin: yeah to small tablets can get really difficult
same with big ones xD

I had an L size for a while and damn my shoulder felt like it was breaking at some point.

I love my Wacom intuos pro
it's small but not too small (I got the medium) though I do need a rather deep desk to fit it and my keyboard xD... and 2 screens...

I've been eying the XP-pen displays, may get it as an option for when I'm not working at home and only got my latop

I don't even remember what I used back then except for PScs2 and a drawing tablet. And before that, it was mostly edited traditional art, since it was possible to convert the hand drawn to lineart without much issue.

there are many options to an Ipad

exactly :D or spend like all savings on a tablet, that maybe worked in some art programs xD but it was mostly a slight upgrade to a mouse
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
back in the days when everyone almost had the same kind of average equipment xD
it was fun though
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
we used it mostly for genitals and to wreck war amount our characters xD it was more of a fluid kind of drawing, ever changing.

ah art was so simple back then
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
I think it was mostly used to derpy drawings and to draw... genitals on other peoples drawings xD

@Keturah: here it's open but I do not trust the other people at the gym to disinfect after each use :/ I mostly to weight lifting so it's kinda hard to keep the distance.

Ah yeah, you'd need a contract, most projects are funded through go-fund me or similar things. As the project kicks off they usually start bringing in some kind of money and then they can start paying artists. It would be the same with your own project however much smaller income, usually.

There is a lot more xD did I mention shamelessly? like post, make clips, tutorials, post on forums like these, stream and attend conventions (artist alleys and such).

I think I did both Oekaki and Iscribble
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
@Keturah: Sadly not xD though I don't mind having drawing as a side-job rather than full. It is not good for the back xD and these days I can't even go the gym so it's even worse.
I guess the trick is to do everything rather than just some things :) resource material is way easier to make and more in demand. Jumping on projects even if they don't pay at first is also a good way. Like new game developments and such.

if you wanna promote your own project, I guess shamelessly posting around social platforms work for promoting, though may take a while.

@ChiffonOrange: ah it do work to just ask people about items to
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
@Keturah: same ^^ I'm working full time and got monthly commissions, but once those get a bit fewer I'll probably open up some simple art for items >u<
I draw humans mostly, like characters.
@ChiffonOrange: that would be so nice xD I'm not active enough to know what there is and what is what
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
@ChiffonOrange: ah yeah they have very cute items here :) which is only reason why I'm not that active xD
Posted in Moody's Bat Cave Posted 5 years ago
@ChiffonOrange: I wouldn't know since I don't watch many cartoons xD
... it was the only hair I could find in the common store that somewhat I liked though
