Lyle listened to the adults talk about the difference between their kingdoms, how beautiful it was here, things like that. Things that didn't interest Lyle too much. It was a lovely home that Troy had though, now that Lyle glanced around. The king and Troy soon then arrived and the queen looked up at them. "Troy dear, love, where were you both hiding? We have guests you know." She said, motioning to Lyle's family. "We were in a game of chess love, however, Troy hasn't been able to win yet." The king chuckled and greeted everyone. "Hello, I apologize for making you wait. I welcome you to our kingdom and our home. Feel free to stay how long you like." Hearing that, Lyle was pleased. He missed spending time with Troy but he knew that Troy too was a busy man. Troy then greeted them and looked at both Aria and Lyle. "Well isn't this a nice surprise. You're matching." He said and chuckled. "How sweet." Lyle wanted to groan but fought the urge. "I'm just teasing you both, you know that." He said and walked over to them. "How about I steal you both away for a moment just to catch up?" he suggested quietly.

Lyle looked around at the snow that had covered everything and stuffed his gloved hands in the pockets of his coat. "I hope so." He muttered and followed his parents to the front doors of the palace. He made sure not to leave Aria behind though. His father knocked on the door and after a while it opened, Troy's mother was the one who greeted them all and welcomed them inside to her home. "Troy will be down momentarily. Thank-you for coming over, I hope the trip was an enjoyable one on the way here." She said as she motioned for them all to have a seat and had servants serve them something warm to drink. "Thank-you for inviting us." Lyle's father said. He wasn't too social, but he was very formal and as the head of the family, he usually started conversations. Something Lyle still needed to learn. "Oh well isn't that just sweet, you two are matching!" Troy's mother said when she saw both Lyle and Aria. Lyle only blushed and looked down nervously.

Lyle listened to Aria read, they really needed to do this more often. He really just needed to stop being so stubborn. The story was pretty interesting and when they reached chapter seven he was a little upset that she had to stop. He looked out the window and it was true; The walls of the kingdom were getting close. They were already here. As much as Lyle wanted to sulk, he didn't. Instead he just gave Aria a quick kiss on the cheek and sat back comfortably until they arrived. Once the carriages stopped, the doors opened and he helped Aria out.

"Well I feel like I did. Like it's always been my fault." He said quietly and kissed her cheek then. "It's true, I have. So many things need to get fixed." He quickly stopped though, she didn't need to know about his work. It wasn't hers to worry about. "You want to read out loud?" He asked her and got comfortable with her there. "Alright, you may go ahead."

He shook his head. "You're not the one messing things up, you have nothing to apologize for and I'm not even reading, just hiding my red face.." He admitted, smiling a small smile. "You can stay Aria, it's fine, you're not bothering me at all. Honestly...I've missed this." he said and finally lowered his book as he let out a slow breath.

'They've been unsteady because I'm a terrible person.' Lyle thought to himself. He also wanted to make this work. Of course he didn't tell her the thoughts in his head, she didn't need to know that. "I uhh...I'm sorry." He said quietly, still hiding his face behind the book. It was his fault things were the way that they were and he wanted to fix that, or at least try to.

Lyle listened to Aria and he nodded because he had already made up his mind that he'd try to do anything she wanted him to. Their relationship was rocky yes, but he still cared about her and didn't want to lose her. When she kissed his cheek, he blushed and hid his face behind the book. 'It's my fault you never say it.' He thought to himself. "I love you too." He said quietly and slowly reached over and held her hand in his. She always knew just how to tear his walls down even if she herself didn't know it.

Occasionally, Lyle would look up from his book and glance out the window. All he was was white. The roads were covered in snow, at least the people were happy though. Children were making snowmen, something Lyle never did. Not because he coudln't, but because he just never wanted to. It occurred to him that when they arrived, Aria would probably want to build a snowman or have a snowball fight. Anything to have fun because that's what she did, she had fun while Lyle clearly didn't. He would have to go along with it though because in the end, her happiness was important to him even though he never showed it.

Lyle looked at Aria when she spoke, she didn't want to talk? Well now, this was new. "Right...thank-you." He reached into the bag and randomly pulled out one book, smiling softly. A book was the best way to pass the time, especially in cold weather. It was just so cozy to read a book. He opened up the book and turned the pages until he was at the first chapter where he started to read silently.

"Dear, do you think that Lyle and Aria will be okay?" The queen asked her husband. They were in the other carriage. The king was thoughtful for a moment before answering. "I'm sure they'll be fine love. They both seemed to be in a good mood although I'll admit Aria was more cheerful than Lyle but that's not a bad thing. I wouldn't worry so much." The king replied softly, giving his wife a kiss on the cheek.

Lyle sat comfortably in his spot and watched the snow fall as they started to head to Troy's kingdom. It was then that he realized he had nothing to keep him occupied and since he had drunk coffee it wasn't like he could sleep through the entire ride. That would have been nice to do though, but very uncomfortable of course. He was glad for how over dressed he was because he knew he'd be just fine as long as he kept it all on.

"It's fine, it's not like we have any time to change anyway we need to go." Lyle replied quietly as he finished his coffee and set the empty cup in a passing servant's hand. "Wash it." He ordered. "Lyle's right, we should get going now. Come alone everyone, we don't want to keep them waiting." The king stated and lead the family out of the palace and to the carriages that were waiting for them. Lyle wondered how long it would take to get there and sighed mentally. He never liked traveling but he knew royals always did so much traveling.

Lyle wore a Navy blue long sleeved shirt and matching colored pants with an even darker blue colored trench coat and a long bright white scarf around his neck. He was wearing the boots his mother had bought him and some warm gloves. Hats, they were something he didn't like to wear normally but it was going to be cold and this prince wasn't going to risk getting some sort of terrible illness for the sake of looking good. He wore a warm hat as well, he was ready but of course, he was drinking his hot coffee when he saw Aria practically run down the stairs. When he saw what she was wearing, he almost choked on his coffee. "Aww look at you both, you're matching!" The queen pointed out, making the king chuckle.

The queen smiled and nodded, she thought it was nice of Troy to help them but she just hoped they didn't assume he'd help them all the time. The queen and Aria continued shopping around and then when they were done they had the carriage driver come back and take them back home. When they arrived the queen made sure to wrap up the gifts, glad to see that both men weren't around although Lyle could be heard playing the piano in the grand room.

It was the day of the trip and Lyle wasn't looking forward to it. He knew it was going to be cold so he was making sure he was properly dressed. He was maybe over dressed but he didn't care, there was no way he was going to risk getting sick over there. At least Aria was really excited to be going. Lyle wondered how Troy was doing, it had been a long time since they had last spoke but it would be nice to see him again.
