Kaneko smiled, seeing that the knock on the bathroom door had indeed helped him know where the bathroom was. Watching him approach her, she was a little confused by the question made to her. He wanted to touch her face? For a moment, she wasn't sure why he would want to do such a strange thing. Then it dawned on her, wasn't that the way he saw things? By touching them? It made sense, seeing as how he practically touched everything while being showed around the house.
Well he did ask nicely, and he was only touching her face. It wasn't a bad thing really. Just not something she thought she'd ever be asked by anyone. 'That's because you never thought that you'd talk to a blind person ever.' She thought to herself. "You may, Sir Allen." She replied after a moment of silence.

Kaneko wasn't sure how to respond. She felt a little bad, hopefully he didn't think she was forcing him to accept. He had thanked her though, being polite as always. Watching him from where she stood, just outside the door frame, Kaneko held out her hands as if that would help him when he did a full turn to look at her. "C-careful." she said, taking one step into her room. "Oh, you're quite welcome. I do hope that you find it comfortable and that you can sleep well. Do not worry, no one will be in this house other than you, myself, and my dad whenever he gets home. I wouldn't worry about him though." She felt telling him who lived in the house would be good, that way he didn't freak out when he heard the front door open once her father returned home. Whenever that would be.
Looking at him, he looked so confused. He probably wasn't used to being in anyone else's home. "This must all be new to you. I hope it's not making you uncomfortable?" If he was uncomfortable, he would tell her wouldn't he? "Oh and there is a restroom in here so you don't really have to go to the one in the hallway." She reminded, walking over to the bathroom door and knocking on it, hoping that it would help him know where it was. "Is there anything you wish to ask me?" Kaneko asked. She was willing to answer any questions the other might have before starting on the food.

There was a small chuckle and a nod of her head as Allen guessed correctly. "Yes, my room. I swear it's clean though." She said. Now, she knew it probably seemed strange to him to sleep in a girl's room. It was the better option though. "I..I know. But I don't want you to sleep on the floor or the couch. You are our guest. I want you to be as comfortable as possible. If I didn't care about your comfort, you wouldn't be in here right now." Kaneko pointed out and carefully opened her bedroom door. Yes, it was clean just as she had assumed. Her bed was neatly made as well, moonlight shinning through her window onto her bed frame. "I understand if you feel uncomfortable taking my room though. I just think that a bed is more comfortable than the floor or a couch." She gave him an apologetic smile, then realized he wouldn't have been able to seen it.
How had he known it was her room? Well, lucky guess she supposed. She herself was a little shy about this arrangement too. She never had anyone else sleep in her room. But she kept telling her that it was the right thing to do. That's what beds were for anyway, so that people could sleep on them. Floors were for standing on, and couches were for sitting on.

@reapergirl87: I hope you feel better soon!
Seems the stomach bug is going around. I have a classmate who's sick and wasn't able to make it to yoga today. :/
Oh well.
Kids are...nice I guess? I just don't have the patience for them.

Hmm, well that answer wasn't very helpful. Still, she would try to prepare something good for him and hopefully it didn't get him sick. She would feel terrible if it did. "Okay, we're almost there. Careful, the porch has steps." Kaneko warned and helped him get up the three steps to the front door. She let go of his hand to look for her key in her purse. Taking it out, she stuck it in the doorknob and turned it until she heard the click on the other side. The door was opened and Kaneko took Allen's hand once more. "Alright, we're heading inside now. Watch your step." It was strange having someone else in her house. Someone who wasn't her father, but it wasn't something she'd do all the time, her father made it clear that she couldn't make this a habit.
It was dark in the house, save for the moonlight creeping in through the windows. "Come on in, make yourself at home." Kaneko started. "Okay, we are currently in the living room. To the right is the kitchen. Straight ahead is a hall and the bedrooms are located on either side of the hall. Now, there is a restroom on the left of the hall but the bedrooms also have their own so don't worry about it." she explained, trying to be helpful. She went through the house while holding his hand, showing him where everything was. She would place his hand on the door handle of her bedroom and looked at him. "This is the door to the room where you will be spending the night. You can go ahead and open it then take a step inside. I promise you won't bump into anything. I make sure the house is clean always." She said reassuringly. She would turn on the lights but it seemed pointless to do so.

Kaneko smiled and stood up, dropping her phone back into her purse. "It's really no problem, I'm happy to help." There was nothing he needed right away, which meant they could go ahead and leave to her house. It then occurred to her that she needed to figure out where he could sleep. Well, there was no way he was sleeping on the floor or on the couch. She could sleep on the couch, she didn't mind it. Granted, she never slept on a couch before but she guessed it couldn't be so bad right? "Alright then, let's get going. I'll show you where you'll be sleeping and give you a tour of the house. It's not very big actually." She commented, taking his hand and starting to make the trip back to her house.
Kaneko wondered what his manor looked like, and while she wanted to ask, she knew that was something he'd talk about on his own whenever he felt comfortable enough. Perhaps in his eyes, they were still strangers. Her conscious was screaming at her, how could she allow this person to enter her home? He only met him once before. This was hardly any reason to open her door to him. So maybe this wasn't the smartest thing to do, but it was the right thing. Or well, to her it seemed like it. It was an easy walk back home, no people to bump into constantly. The silence was both reassuring and unnerving. What could she say to make things not so awkward? Were things even awkward? She looked up at the sky for a moment, letting out a content sigh. The stars really were lovely. "Allen..if I may ask, are you allergic to any foods?" The last thing she wanted was to make something that would make him sick.

Kaneko was scrolling through her contacts, looking for her dad until she found him. Before she pressed the 'call' button, she decided to answer Allen's question. "According to the dictionary, a stranger is 'a person with whom one has had no personal acquaintance'. In my own personal dictionary, a stranger is someone you've never met. We have met once before. Therefore, no; we are not strangers." Kaneko explained then pressed the button to call her father who answered after the third ring. "Hello dad. Umm, I was calling to ask you something." At this time, she glanced over at Allen then looked down at her purse. "I was wondering if my friend could sleep over tonight?" She asked. Not surprised when her father said no. "But daaad, he's been through a tough time and he just needs a place to stay at least for tonight, please? I promise you have nothing to worry about. He is a good person. Hmm? Where did I meet him? At the park." She answered. Not sure why that mattered.
"Nothing is going to happen oh my gosh. I told you, I'm going to do laundry and make some food. Don't worry I'll make you dinner as per usual." Kaneko explained, hoping her father would just budge this once. "Please? You know I never have anyone over, this is the very first time." She pouted. Her father wasn't too happy but he reluctantly agreed to letting her have her friend over for the night but warned her that they had better behave. "Of course dad, thaaank-you! Ha, yeah right. I'll talk to you when you get home. Bye!" Hanging up, she exhaled softly and looked at Allen. "Sir Allen? You can stay." She informed happily. "Is there anything you need before we go?" She wanted to make sure he wasn't forgetting anything.

Kaneko waited patiently for a response and when she got one, she grinned. It would be the first time she had anyone over at her house. It was pretty exciting. Now she just had to worry about getting her father's approval which would be tough. He wasn't home, so she knew she'd have to call which she really didn't want to but she had no choice. She pulled on the zipper on her purse, reaching in and feeling around until she grabbed her phone and pulled it out. All while listening to what Allen said. "No, it's no trouble at all Allen." Her smile faded though upon hearing that had no one. So she was right, he had no friends or family to look after him. He lived all alone, he must get lonely from time to time. Even though, the times she had seen him he looked to be in a good mood.
He never gave any hint that he was alone here. "You don't?" she repeated. Why had she even repeated it? She didn't want him to talk about something if it clearly saddened him. "Well...you have me." She said, smiling a bit. "I mean, I may not be family or anything but well...you're not alone anymore. Like I said, I'll always be here if you need anything or just want to talk." She couldn't really do much, she knew this and she was sure he realized this. But that didn't mean that she was just going to sit back and watch when she could very clearly help out somehow. Kaneko's dark black hair fell across her face and she struggled to push it back and away from her face. "Give me a moment to call my dad. Oh, and if you're hungry, I'm going to make some food when I get home. You're more than welcome to have some if you'd like."

Kaneko's eyes widened. So he was the creep the girls had talked about? They had entered his...manor? Wait, he had a manor? So he did have a home and somehow those two girls had managed to slip inside. Did he not lock the doors? Probably not if he couldn't see. Still, it wasn't a matter of seeing or not. One could feel if the doors were locked or not. He had followed them here before losing them. Sad. Kaneko knelt down beside him, a frown on her face. He had a reason to be shaken up. Someone had broke into his house for god's sake. It was a good thing he wasn't hurt but why were the girls in his house in the first place? Were they running from something or someone? Or were they just merely goofing off?
Either way, it wasn't a nice thing to do. "I see. I'm very sorry to hear that you had to go through that. It must have been terrifying to hear others inside your home. The one place where you are supposed to be the safest." Kaneko said softly. She would have been terrified if it were her in that situation. Although, if her father was there when it happened, then it probably wouldn't have happened in the first place and if it did all hell would have broken loose. "At least you weren't actually hurt. Still, I do wonder what those girls were doing in your home." She looked around, it would get dark soon and if she were him, she probably wouldn't want to go home alone. What was she going to do?
"Sir Allen, I hope I don't seem rude or cross any line by asking this, but...if you are worried it might happen again, you are more than welcome to stay with me. I'm sure my dad won't mind. Besides, friends help friends and good people help good people. So yes, that is how I am justifying my actions." She explained with a chuckle. She wasn't sure if it would cheer him up but she was trying. "And...I'm always here if you just want to talk. We can talk about anything you want to." Kaneko added quickly. Maybe that's what he needed right now, just someone who would listen and talk to him.
((And that is my last post for the day. I need to get some sleep since I have class tomorrow but I'll post once I get back. Goodnight!))

Reaching the park, Kaneko quickly moved off to the side as a group of girls ran past her saying something about having to leave the creep behind. "Excuse you!" She called after them and sighed. "Rude." She muttered. What had them so frightened though? What creep were they talking about? Well, that could be any guy really. But where had they encountered this said creep? Why did it even matter to her? "Just relax Kaneko, it's none of your business anyway." Kaneko walked to the bench but noticed he was not there. Had he gotten up and left? Or had someone gotten to him first?
Just when she was beginning to worry, she saw him knelt beneath a tree. Had he been there all this time? Concerned, Kaneko approached him. He looked...troubled. "Sir Allen?" She said, almost as if she didn't think it was him. "Is something wrong? Has someone hurt you?" Why was she even asking? It wasn't like she could do anything about it. Her father could, but she knew her father well enough to know that he would never help her friend. Not unless he made a tempting offer of some sort and frankly, Kaneko didn't want Allen mixed up in her father's mess.

Ugh, I have classes tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it much. Well, not my core conditioning class. It's too intense for me.

(Not at all, go right ahead. :))
Work had been exhausting. She was now just cleaning the tables and making sure the chairs were in their places. Once she was done, she collected her purse, clocked out, and headed out of the diner. The sun was already setting when she was outside. Her father was probably still at work but even so, she gave him a quick call. "Hi dad, I'm just calling to let you know that I just got out of work. I had arrived late but that's just because I had to do some things first and didn't realize what time it was." Kaneko explained. Her father didn't sound too happy, just as she expected. "I won't make it a habit. I hope. I mean come on dad, I've never been late before. It's not like I'm late every day." she added and was silent as she listened to her father while she walked towards the park.
"Oh...so you'll be home late?" Kaneko asked and frowned slightly. "N-no...no it's fine dad I understand that work comes first. I'll just keep myself busy with stuff at home. I'm going to do the laundry and get some lunch." She commented, quickly looking both ways before crossing the street. "Of course dad, I promise to lock the door when I get home and I won't go out. I'll stay inside like a good girl." She muttered. Kaneko sighed and rolled her eyes, "I just don't understand why I'm not allowed to have friends or people over." She should have just kept quiet, she didn't mean to make him mad. "Sorry dad, I know. I know. I'll be good I promise. Yes really. I have to go now, need to go do the laundry. I'll talk to you later dad, bye." After hanging up, Kaneko groaned and stuffed her phone in her purse while she walked towards the park.

It was a long tiring walk to the diner, and when she clocked in it didn't look good. She was late, just as she thought she'd be. What was she supposed to do? Just ignore Allen's request? Her father probably would have if he was in a rush. But, her father was a good man even though it didn't look like it. "Sorry I'm late, stuff happened. I'll work extra hours." She told her supervisor. Reaching into her phone as she walked into the back room, she noticed she had a missed call from her father. He was probably upset now. Quickly, she sent him a text telling him she'd call on her break but that she had arrived to work safely.
Leaving her purse in her locker, Kaneko stepped out, grabbed some menus, a notepad and a pen then got to work. She seated people as they arrived, handed them their menus and took their orders for drinks while they decided on what they wanted to eat. Once the drinks were filled and set on a circular tray, she picked it up and balanced it on one hand while making her way to the table. Using her free hand to set the drinks down then held the tray under her arm and started writing down orders which were then slipped off to the cooks who got to work on filling them.
Tips were really appreciated, but Kaneko didn't get many of those. And with being late, she didn't think she'd be getting any today either. Kaneko focused on her work, but sometimes she found herself thinking about Allen and wondering if he was really okay. Maybe today after work she would check the park to make sure he was okay. Well, if she had time anyway.
