Perhaps taking to her while floating over the murk. If she is really determined to follow, she might just loose the cleaver to the water. Perhaps the cleaver is what is making her crazy.

You don't have to kill her. Just knocking her out would be good for now.
Though if she really has killed others, perhaps it would be good if she doesn't live to continue killing!

He does have some magical abilities, but I think from the maze, using them takes up a lot of energy and power from him.
