It is really fun to dress up avatars!
Yes, as Millet mentioned, there is a daily log in. When the ship on the front page is rocking, it means you have a daily to collect.
There are also several user run threads that give out currency and prizes. Charities are really helpful when looking for some items.
I know Panda's shop has a hand out for new users. Just gotta check around some of the different threads to see what the different users are offering. ^_^

Yeah, sometimes it is for the better. Not sure if this new way is better though.
Wonder if it may be better on their coding? -shrugs-
Still no good for the users.
