@lina: That's so cool!

@The youngest granny: I totally could. Unfortunately, I only get one day off and not until Saturday. And then it looks like I'll have another 14 day stretch with no days off again (if not longer).

Yay! Art shop!

@The youngest granny: Hey Minya! 8D
I'm exhausted, but otherwise good. Hie about you?

The ones who really amaze me are the ones that make the original patterns for things. The sheer amount of work and failure that goes into doing that is insane.

Weaving would be fun to learn. Unfortunately a lot of those looms are super expensive. I almost got one for free from a co-worker once though.

@Yuracye: Lol. That's what Ravelry is for! Inspiring yarn project ideas!
I'll have to look up a video for part of the stitch pattern on the shawl at work tomorrow. Might start on one after I finish the custom fox and my mermaid blanket.

Ah yes...the retail world.
I once carded a woman for a beer purchase (I carded her every time because it was store policy and because she looked young enough for it to be iffy) and she flipped out and started screaming at me and calling me names and saying that I always hit on her boyfriend every time he was in the store. And I just calmly stated that it was store policy to card (which set her off again) and calmly stated that I didn't know who her boyfriend was (which resulted in a "bullshit you don't" exclamation) and that I was sorry if it seemed like I was flirting, but it wasn't my intention and I would try not to do it again (again seemed to spur on her anger). Basically, I was as calm and polite as I could possibly be.
I was literally shaking by the time she left and someone had to come relieve me for a few minutes so I could sit and calm down.

Lol. The yarn thinness is more of a "shoot, what loom/project can I use this for now" predicament than anything. Because a thinner yarn on a large gauge loom makes for a very thin/lacy product. I might be able to do a blanket or something. Pretty sure there was a shawl pattern I found that called for a sport weight yarn. (The yarn is Lion Brand Mandala, look it up if only to admire the colorways....)

Unicorn:
but to hate, or dislike kids, is
another thing, I must say that we were all kids at one point, we were all annoying, and loud at one point.

On this point I would just like to say that yes. I was a kid once. I wasn't particularly fond of myself then either plus, I was a kid. You know, doing kid things like...sitting in my room and reading or....sitting in my room and reading.
But my adult self doesn't have to deal with my child self. As an adult, our views are generally much different than they used to be.

@Yuracye: If it makes you feel any better, I hupe myself up a lot too. XD
I have so many projects I want to make now that it's ridiculous! And I just got some great yarns that I want to use for something, but I'm not sure what since it's thinner than I anticipated.

@Yuracye: YouTube. YouTube has tons of videos for loom knitting. I'm usually a visual learner, but I've had to just learn with written patterns a lot because no internet at home except on my phone, which does not do videos well without a wifi connection. Also, the authentic knitting board website has a lot of patterns and stitches too as well as some basic instructions.

I would like to suggest the same thing I do everywhere possible...
I would like a Derpy McBlueEyes please. (Preferably in his original colors, but I'll settle for a generic "dragon plushie" in other colors.)

And cats. All the cats.

@Yuracye: Lol. I promise it's super easy to learn the basics! In fact, I think there's an instruction pamphlet thing in the loom kit I sent to Tetra that has the basic e-wrap stitch as well as the e-wrap cast on in it. So...I mean, start with maybe an e-wrap hat or flat knit e-wrap scarf (less complicated than it sounds, I promise!) and you'll have most of the knowledge you need to make a stuffed animal!

Posted in What are your views on religion? Posted 7 years ago
I was originally raised as Catholic, but I began to find too much within the bible that was contradictory and/or hypocritical.
Now I am an Atheist.

I firmly believe that everyone has the right to believe in anything they want to and I have no real issues with people who are religious. Until they start in with the "you're going to hell unless you convert to x" logic. Or the "I'll pray for your soul/to save you" comments. Because my "soul" is just fine thank you.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no right or wrong religion. Believe in what makes sense to you or what you want to believe in.
