The box the violet came in wasn't even labeled that it was a live plant. The plant was just wrapped in a paper bag and tucked in a small clay pot. No bubble wrap or nothing.

The other shop on the other hand. Boxes are labeled as live plant and always very well packed. The plant pots are carefully taped over around the plant to keep the soil in place and very carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and air packs.

Wow, the events still going?

@koneko: Most of my house plants arrived today. I was disappointed with how the African Violet was packed. Was rather beat up looking and leaves broken off. Won't be ordering from that shop again.

The rest were from a shop I've bought from before and were very well packed.

Well. My house plants showed up early. Most were packed really well but I am disappointed by the way my African violet was packed. Bought it from a shop I hadn't ordered from before. Looks really beat up.

The other 4 plants were from a shop I've ordered from before. And they were very well packed like usual

Christmas cactus can actually live for quite a good amount of time. My grandmother has one that's years old at this point

Two of the plants I ordered are Christmas cactus. I like them.

I had one that lived a few years and it seemed to do well for quite a long while but then it just randomly up and died for no reason it seems.

Christmas cactus aren't too hard to take care of, and they're quite pretty when they flower.

Yes, small plant o3o

The shop I bought it from called it a gothic fairy fern. It's this purplish gray little fern. Was pretty neat looking.

Now I just need to find some live moss plants to kind of fill in the terrarium around the edges a bit

Yeah, I'm going to have to find a way to keep the cats from bothering then too much. Though that's also why the fern is going in a terrarium, to keep it out of the cats reach.

Wasn't sure if it was cat safe or not but it was such a neat looking little fern. Supposed to stay pretty small. Like 1/2" tall and only about 5" wide

I can't wait till my house plants get here. I miss having house plants. My orchids I ordered still haven't shipped yet though.

The Wonderland event was my first event here. I think I joined just a day or two before it started
Posted in A Clawful Catastrophe Posted 4 years ago
Yes, and a terrarium too. For the fern I bought.

This was a nice event. Though of course all the events on Voltra are great.

Is the event still going? I thought they would have closed it already.

I'm excited, most of the house plants I ordered the other day should be here by Thursday :D
@Starlight: Sounds good to me. I'll send a trade
