xvz: the cane is a common item
What sucks is, Denslow owned half the rights to the book and would have been famous if they haven't split up
Thank you! I really like how the pirate came out. :3

Yes, my mule is now a cute prince
On the subject of Oz... Denslow was the illustrator for only the first book because then he had a disagreement with the author and they split up. Neill illustrated more than 40 Oz stories

The first Oz book was illustrated by Denslow
All the rest were by Neill who as a more elegant and pretty style.
There have been other illustrated over the reprints though

@Vixen: I ended up buying the first book because I thought it was worth owning. Plus the series will look so pretty on a shelf together. OuO
And it has the original illustrations which are the ones I know, but are slightly creepy. XD
@xvz: Hey! Good to see you! I'm also hoping for a crow item.

@Vixen: You look really adorable!!
My mom owns the first 5 or so books in the Oz series so I read them when I was younger. But I've mostly forgotten so I decided to re-read the, all. And the rest of the series

@Vixen: After this event I kind of want to read the book now.
But I'm already reading The Wizard of Oz. XD

Oh, that’s a really cool sketch! The white knight was a cool character! I really liked him.
Ps, I decided to look up a summary of Alice Through the Looking Glass; there’s the tweedles, Humpty Dumpty, a lion and unicorn that fight, a train... I guess this event is actually taking all the book themes but in their own way.

I wondered if they did lion and unicorn as interesting alternatives to bishop? Because a bishop is a religious figure I wondered if they didn’t want to do an item for it in case it offended someone.. /shrug
Or some of the pieces have different names in other countries, so it’s possible some of them are nods to other versions of chess pieces.
The tweedles are from Alice in Wonderland, and the sequel is Through the Looking Glass and I know some of the story takes place on a chess board with talking pieces. I don’t remember the story well enough to say if lions and unicorns are in it though. But maybe they’re all Wonderland characters. Heck, there may have been a train conductor for all I know. XD

@Vixen: is that when we got blown away by the crow wind? Maybe the icon is about that?
