I can't imagine ever being at a point when I would spend 10k on a vtubing model. Not that they aren't worth that much, but I've never had that much money in my life, much less that much spending money. Wild

Thank you so much! I'll totally look into this

Thanks a lot guys!!

@Siron: I have a friend who uses Vroid studio, and he said he would come over to my place and show me how to use it so I can see if I like it. He set it up himself, but I'm always so critical of my own art I think I would hate every second my own art was on my screen. >.<

@MoodyB: I was looking up PNGtubers online and it sounded like they push a button to change the look of the model, but that was maybe just 1 program. But it sounded awkward so I wasn't leaning that direction. I get what you mean about trying a cheaper option first though!
I was looking on fivver and it seemed like average $300 for fully body art and rigging. Or less for just the art files and rigging separately. And solo riggers seemed about $50. Most jobs were 1-2 week time to do it. So honestly hearing that is can be thousands seems wild. I'll look at vgen though if it's easier to get scammed at fivver. (I've never used either before)
Thanks for the advice! I was a little afraid to just jump into YouTube videos and stuff like that, because I don't want to learn a bunch of misinformation or outdated information. This helped a lot!

I know it's been like 6 months since I posted, but whenever I had art or whatever questions I would always as y'all for help and I don't know who else to ask.

So...
Anyone know anything about vtubing? I wanna change up my twitch streams to vtuber I think, because I get so anti-streaming sometimes cause I just don't want to show my face sometimes. >.<
I use OBS to stream, and I tested VTube Studio and it looks all good.
But now I need to buy a Vtuber model and I don't know any artists that do that kind of thing. It's hard to know who to trust, you know.
And a 'rigger' I guess? If the artist doesn't do it. I don't really get what it all means, but rigging seems to be setting it up to animate in vtube studio. (??) Sounds like I can get a rigger pretty cheap on like fiverr or whatever, so I'm not so worried about that.

If anyone knows any trusty artists/riggers or has any information about vtubing or knows a trusted guide or anything, please let me know.

PS, also let me know if you want to be discord friends! I miss my people here!
@LupaPrinceRomulus: I like a nice drama free zone! ^^
I haven't run into any drama on Gaia, but I've been hanging in the chats for like 20+ year olds, and I think we get less dramatic as we get older.

@LupaPrinceRomulus: hey!! I hope you're doing well! What have you been up to?

I've got an art shop up on Gaia, which I mostly ignore but I did some art today. So I'm feeling productive.
I was sick a few days ago after eating some pizza and decided my lactose intolerance might be getting worse, so I maybe have to actually try to watch what I eat. Cry
I got some lactose pills though, so hopefully it's alright. ^^
@LupaPrinceRomulus: thanks! Good to know I've got friends around. ^^
I'm not in the drama and fighting online, but I love making friends.

@Another Movie Addict: Great to see you! I'm still here, but not everyday right now because it's been slow. >.<

@Qiqi Agatha: It's definitely on the way up!
Amazing how big of a difference moving can have.

@IceyVampir: Over the Garden Wall is one of my favorite autumn cartoon shows. 2 kids get lost in the woods, and lots of weird things and creepy monsters are there. The art style is very creepy, but really the story is more weird than actually scary. It's very bizarre, but in such a charming way. And I really love the art! They really put effort into the art!

That campaign sounds super fun! I've played a lot of mmo style games so it sounds like it would be really interesting to role-play a story like that. I have a lot of social anxiety, so I'm not sure if I'll ever actually join a group, but I would love to!

I'm playing Stardew on stream, which is helping me pace myself so I don't get burned out. I did Palia for like the bata, and immediately over played and I haven't been back.. >.< oops

@toe: I think maybe I need to start doing something like Habitica or Finch again. Lately I haven't been doing anything at all on my days off, not even checking here which is something I enjoy. I've just been lying in bed all day. >.<

I've never tried doing makeup of any kind really. I think it's amazing on other people! Fashion makeup and costume makeup are both so cool.

I was -a kind- of organized when I pack. I packed heavy things with light things, so none of the boxes were too heavy. Which made moving them around easier, but they are not organized by item type, so it's been weird to unpack... >.<

My favorite thing about Chicago is the diversity. I didn't realize how much I would miss it until I went somewhere with almost no culture. Chicago has a wonderful China Town, and a lot of the suburbs have a big Asian population. (I'm an anime nerd so I love all of that!) But also people and cultures from all over the world. Saint Louis was like 99% white Christian... which is just so boring and uninteresting.

@Qiqi Agatha: I got my old job back from before I left, and that was about all the plans I made. I've had a few chances to see my friends, which is great! And I started a Stardew farm with 2 of my old coworkers! We only played 1 time so far, but it was a lot of fun!
Mostly I've been lazing around my room though... >.<

@MoodyB: of course I remember Moody!!
It's great to see you again! I've been so out of it lately that I keep disappearing every time I intend to really get back into posting. I've just been in a funk. ~~~
I've been neglecting my streaming too. So I really have to get back into it, or I'll lose the followers I'm finally getting. lol

@Ruby: Thank you!
I'm doing alright. I went to visit my sister for her son's 9th birthday. I love her and her son, but not so much her boyfriend, so it was kinda stressful. >.<
And I got called into jury duty on Monday. It was 9 hours, and super stressful and emotionally upsetting. I'm so glad I didn't get picked!

@toe: I love the idea of keeping snacks in your car. I'm pretty good about remembering to keep snacks in my work bag all the time, but it would be nice to have snacks when I'm out with friends too. :3
I got some flavored prime and ate the whole bag in like 2 days. And then I also got some candy and I've been eating maybe 1 piece a day. So I think I'm more of a snack person than a candy person. XD

@Ruby: Hey! How are you doing?
I love your avatar!

@Qiqi Agatha: Moving is always a lot. Just the packing and unpacking.
But I'm so glad to be back in Chicago! I really didn't care for Saint Louis.
It was the least culture and diversity I have ever experienced, and it's supposedly a major city.
