@totalanimefan: I wound up getting some jelly beans to put in the eggs. I'll number them too. He's just turned 3 and loooves to count. If I have enough, I could probably do the ABC's. That way I know I have all of the eggs too Haha!

For his Easter basket, I wound up buying a bubble machine with a huge thing of bubbles, big containers of chalk, an outdoor golf set thing, a frisbee, some gardening things and eggs in the shape of animals. I tried to make sure it was all stuff that he would play with OUTSIDE haha.

@tuijp: how’s the progress going? Did the food refuel you or send you into nap mode?

@tuijp: I will send you all of the coffee to get this task done! Plus some! You will paint the whole world!

I have a 4 day weekend, so I’m going to try to get caught up with work stuff and throw together an Easter basket for my son. I say throw together because I had to wait until I got paid and that was yesterday. So I’ll be picking through the scraps of stuff now. AND He doesn’t need more toys or candy. So, idk what to put in it. Then, I’ll toss some eggs in the backyard so he’ll have the experience.

I usually read or try to destroy something on my to-do list. It relaxes me to knock out all of the little things hanging over my head so that I can fully panic over the bigger things 🤣

I was watching a show called osmosis. It’s interesting, but definitely something I wouldn’t watch with anyone you aren’t extremely comfortable seeing stuff with. 😬😬

@kozi: only uncivilized babies throw themselves down in a fit!
He will also run to the carpet before gently laying down for his fit.
Just because he's angry or upset doesn't mean he has to completely lose his mind! Fit throwing is a process.

@kira: I loooooved rugrats! XD I've never tried edamame hummus, but I don't discriminate! If I see some at the store, I'll be sure to pick some up.

@ashe: Maybe! I thought for sure the x-rays would scare him, but he was just so interested and thought it was so cool. It's so fun to see all of his interests.

It all started when he was throwing a fit and he gently set himself on the floor. I wouldn't let him smear hummus on the table. worst mom ever.
(he's gonna throw a fit, but he's not gonna injure himself to do it, so he will very carefully lay down and then continue his fit.)

He claimed his leg was hurting and that he needed an x-ray. His leg wasn't hurt at all, I promise.

Anyway, being the extra mom that I am, I said "Oh no!" and then scooped him up and put him on the couch. I "scanned" his leg with my phone while secretly searching for an x-ray of a leg and then showed it to him, telling him that it was his.

PUMPED.

So, now I've had to "x-ray" everything with my phone.
All. Evening.

I have no idea where he learned about x-rays. He's never had one and has never injured himself other than a scraped knee.
Last week, he kept wanting to go to the doctor for various things (like sneezing- "This has got to stop. Let's go doctors".) Luckily, we did have his 3 year appointment last week too. It was like a dream come true going to the doctor.

I'm going to have to keep a folder of stock photos of x-rays on my phone like a weirdo.

Having a toddler is wild.
