Any negative commentary about someone's body is not okay.

I used to feel like my body insecurities weren't valid because I was too skinny and couldn't feel self-conscious or uncomfortable. But that's just not true at all. I would be upset about the mean things people said and it was always met with "oh, they're just jealous"

I actually had to start working out to gain weight. I could eat anything and everything, but it didn't make a difference- working out did make a difference. My body didn't start getting curves until I started sports and going to the gym.

I remember thinking that no one would want to hug me or hold me because they thought I was too skinny. I remember the hateful comments from mean girls behind me in line at lunch telling their friends that I needed to go eat a hamburger and then the mean comments in class saying that I must have an eating disorder. In reality, I was eating and trying my best to gain, but it just wasn't happening.

I hated seeing those posts that were like "real women have curves" or stuff about a size 0 being not a real woman. It was absolutely damaging.

My mom had the same problem and she couldn't gain due to stress. Her job stressed her out so much that it literally did not matter what she ate or did, she could not gain.

I don't have underweight issues anymore since I had my son, but my metabolism changed due to pregnancy. Now, I would like to lose some weight.
@purpdaburppurp: I was on Gaia as OMousy XD is that the account you knew? It’s been a really long while since I’ve been on.
on a normal work day, it's only in the evenings that I am actively on.
lurking.
watching.
waiting.

But on a day that isn't a work day, it's sporadic.

Posted in Do you think "Hell" is a swear word? Posted 5 years ago
I think any word can be a swear word based on your intent behind it.

If I call someone a brat, but I’m meaning it the same way I’d call someone a bitch, then it’s exactly the same thing.

On the flip side of that, I don’t think a word is a curse word if it is being used for the intended purpose. Example would be using Hell in reference to the place. But with any of those little 4 letter words, if they are used in the way they were meant to be used, then whatever.
Hands coming out of a toilet.

I still give myself the heebie jeebies if I think about it while using the restroom.

I used to love shopping at zigzagstripe. They had good deals and the clothes were good for work, but lately, they've gotten more and more expensive. boooooo

I buy from Old Navy pretty often online- I love their pants for work.

and I buy from LuLaRoe sellers that are selling their inventory for cheap. They may be styles from years past or hard to sell prints, or the seller is just trying to get rid of it all. I used to make fun of LLR so much and I still think a lot of it is tacky, but there are 2 styles that I love for work and if I find a print for cheap that I like, then it's a win-win. I love the "Amelia Dress" and the "Madison Skirt". If I can get a dress brand new with tags for $5 shipped when it was originally $65 just because it's a few years old? fine by me! and both styles have POCKETS.

edited to add-
I buy my shoes from crocs. I love their flats- not those weird, hole-filled, potato monstrosities. The flats are super comfortable and easy on my feet because I'm standing the majority of the day.

@jolly: Oh, I would have been SO sad to lose some breadsticks.
Now I have to resist the urge to go to Olive Garden.

@bonnie: I was literally just admiring your avatar in another thread and I think it is amazing!

@koneko: It would have to be a random drawing. I can't pick and choose from my girls like that. It would hurt their feelings.

@Bonnie: Thank you! There were some really great ones out there. So. Many. Tutus. One guy was dressed as snow white too and had gathered himself an army of other snow whites to run with. His 7 dwarves found me and asked if I'd take a pic with them because he was too busy with his little army. XD

@boyrrito: It's an entire weekend event! there's a 5k the first day, a 10k the second and the half marathon on the third day. It truly is for every one and every ability. I just decided if I was going to Disney, I was gonna go big. XD They have other run events too. Star Wars, Wine and Dine, and a generic Disney themed weekend that includes a full marathon along with the princess weekend.

@koneko: XD
@totalanimefan: Friends.... That marathon will be in 2 weeks when I'm off work for a week.

@koneko: Thank you!
I would 100% do it again. After I ran through the leg cramps, I felt pretty comfortable. I even went to Magic Kingdom after the race and walked around for another 7 miles. XD

It was not a totally competitive run. So the "elites" ran first and those are the ones that were actually competing for a time, but the atmosphere was so supportive and uplifting. There were people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and ability. I joked that I was running with 20,000 of my closest friends.

So, about a year ago, I posted about a Disney Princess Half Marathon and how I was going to do it...

Well,

I DID IT

I've never even done a 5k before, but I finished that half and was so proud of myself.
My time was 3 hours and 29 minutes. My goal was to get 3 hours and 30 minutes. I came in under my goal XD.
13.1 miles in 3.5 hours

The most I'd ever done in one session was 6 miles prior to this race and that was only once. I was so afraid that I wouldn't make it, but I pushed through and had literally thousands and thousands of people behind me. I was worried because throughout training, I would cramp up within one mile. I did end up getting leg cramps, but I ran through them and they were gone by mile 4.

It was amazing. I had no idea what my body could do.

Not the cutest pic, but c'mon! I'd just ran 13.1 miles and I was waiting for the bus back to the hotel. XD

I saw this cute shirt that I wanted, but I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish the race when I saw it. I thought for sure i'd be swept, but I wasn't and I bought myself a present for finishing.

Aaaaand here is a mid race pic of the castle we got to run through. It was hard to get a good angle and get the castle in. XD
