I've been looking at this one, but it's not on prime.
Desk

I've also been wondering if I ought to wait to see what goes on sale on Black Friday/Cyber Monday too.

@eyry: it feels good! We're all tired, but all of the installations and deliveries happened exactly on time and smoothly. Overall 10/10 move, but would not do it again. XD

@priestess of pie: /pets my computer. I loves her so much. T_T She deserves the best.

@kitalpha hart: I suppose it would be more standard, but it has to be able to hold my crafty things and it has to be out in the open where it's visible if you walk in my house. aaaand it has to have shelving so that little toddler hands can't get my pens/pencils/markers/sharp things.

Like the title says- I just moved into a new house.
We'd been living at my sister's house while she was out of the country, but now we have our own place because she's coming back. :vivi-celebrate:

We got to pick out all new furniture and it's been really fun, but the thing that has been tripping me up the most is trying to buy a desk.

Couch? sure
Table? mhmmm
Washer/Dryer? No problem
Fridge? Next!

Desk? panicpanicpanicpanic

I love having a desk so much and it feels like such a personal purchase. I don't wanna get it wrong.
I kneeeeeewwwwww that was you kiwi!!! I knew it! XD

I love the runway because it’s fun for me to guess who made what based on their personal avatar style.

I thought priestess was actually #8 this time around though! You tricked me XD

Was Raxton the fire and water one?

Definitely used that period trick all through school and college. 🤣

I think my favorites have to be the oracle eyes or the wink eyes from the winter fashion thing that I can’t remember the name of. 🤣

I think #2 would be the scariest for me!
I’ve actually had a similar dream and woke myself up crying. XD

@another movie addict: You are amazing! That thing is way harder than it looks.

As for the bucket list- I really don't know... I'm not sure of what I'd like to do or accomplish before I kick it. *shrugs*

@wildfire: What stops you from engaging in discussion in the forums beyond "Hi, how are you? How many volts do you have?"??? Why?"

We'll just put this one into some bullet points. XD

For me, I have to be in a particular mood to carry on a conversation and post. If I'm posting, I've probably had a good day at work that wasn't too draining. Those days are few and far between right now and when I get home, my brain is mush. I've had my "serious brain" on all day and I just want to be silly. (Same thing with television- I get enough drama at work. Give me the cartoons pls.)
I'm really good at "drive-by posting" where I go in and throw out my opinion and either forget to come back or don't have the mental energy to come back and respond.

Also, I've got a 3 year old and toddlers are extremely demanding. If I'm online, I'm probably also playing with blocks, reading a thousand picture books, cooking/eating dinner, watching cartoons, and making sure the shenanigans we are getting into aren't things that will get us into trouble. With all of that going on plus the noise levels of everything around, I'll often go into sensory overload and will have to eliminate some stimuli. The computer is the first to go and then the tv.

And finally- My anxiety tells me that the things I have to say aren't relevant and no one really cares to hear about them. It tells me that the conversation has already moved on and that it would be pointless to continue it. It tells me that I'm talking too much about myself and not asking enough questions about my online friends.

After a long day at work and with my mushy brain, I enjoy posting on light-hearted things that don't require much thought- and that's only if I have the mental energy to carry on a conversation.
-entertainment discussions
-hobbies
-crafting
-how was your day-ing
-look at my pet
-etc.

this is the largest post i've made in months. just staring at a wall of text is enough to drain the energy I have left. XD
Posted in What ethical dilemmas do/have you had? Posted 5 years ago
@songlord: I was thinking about my work ethical dilemmas too!

Do I allow this student to be passed on to the next grade level knowing that they aren't successful with the current grade level standards or do I hold them back with the knowledge that it pretty much guarantees that they'll drop out later?

-this particular moral dilemma usually gets yanked out of my hands and they get passed along without my approval. I do not see the point in passing a student along that is reading on a 2nd grade level in the 4th grade.

Do I kick this student out of my class because he's disrupting everyone else's education when he is, by law, allowed a free and appropriate public education? OR do I let him continue staying in my class with the knowledge that the other 19 are not getting the education they deserve?

-My current reality and ethical dilemma I'm trying to come to terms with. When I come up with a solution, I'll let you know. XD

@vermii: The thought did cross my mind to let it hang out of my sun roof, but... effort. XD Could you imagine driving down the road and seeing someone's hair vase sticking out of the top of the car?

@inatlaka: You're too nice T___T
Tomorrow is wear a hat day and I think that's just so boring. I have a chef hat though. My coworker has a wizard mickey mouse hat and I'm so jealous. XD
