@Tuijp: Uh... well I guess it depends on their behavior. You could try like... just wearing them out right before bed. Playing a bunch and then give them a treat or something. Personally mine had a problem with clawing for attention so we used the little stick on kitty nails for a bit until they realized that wasn't working anymore and they stopped. Tumbleweed likes to knock things off shelves for attention so I had to make that difficult for him too to get that to stop. It's kind of just like... prevention control until they finally give up lol. It sounds like yours is just meowing though which may be a little more difficult. Might just need to get some earplugs and wait it out until they give up. XD

@Tuijp: Mine used to do that too... there was always a transitional period when we brought in a new cat. Eventually though they just got used to sleeping in.

@KimmiChan1989: It's worth looking into. Also I don't know if you're religious or not (not that it necessarily matters) but often churches will offer free or discounted counseling. I remember going to one when I was in my early 20's even though I didn't go to the church there. It was very helpful for me at the time though just to have someone to talk to about things.

@Tuijp: I keep my cats shut up in my room at night so they usually want out by morning. Mallow likes to paw at my face until I wake up using increasingly more force and claws. XD He's a sweet boy but he wants his food on time.

@KimmiChan1989: There may be low income programs in your area that can give discounted or even free care. It's definitely worth looking into until you get some insurance.

@KimmiChan1989: If you feel like you need help then you do. Don't be afraid to reach out to a specialist to get the help you need. Even "healthy" people could really benefit from seeing a therapist once in a while honestly.

I'd say this is pretty normal as you get older. We get bogged down with expectations and responsibilities that make it harder to appreciate the good things we do have. I wouldn't worry about your age so much though if that's what's bugging you. It's never too late to do something.
I would recommend becoming more familiar with driving simply to give you that independence though. Might help you get a job too, who knows.

@Tuijp: Usually mine will wake me up too but lately they've just cuddled back up and went back to sleep lol. Actually I would probably have kept sleeping if it wasn't for my cat. >_> But it was wellll past my usual get up time by the time he decided it was breakfast time.

Nice! I'm glad you bumped this because this is rad.
This recipe is designed to use stuff you probably have around the pantry but feel free to sub in fresher/better ingredients if you want but I like to keep this stuff around for when I need a last minute dinner and forget I'm out of XYZ.
Ingredients
(sorry for non specific measures - this is soup not science)
Chicken stock or bouillon
1 can of chicken (yes, chicken that comes in a can - it's better than it sounds especially in soup)
1 can of Rotel (or diced tomatoes if you're a weenie)
1 packet of fajita seasoning
1 can of corn
1 can of black beans (or any beans really sometimes I use chili beans)
whatever else you want because it's soup
Garnish with
Tortilla Chips
Shredded Cheese
Sour Cream/Yogurt
Green Onions
Instructions:
Literally just dump all the ingredients in. No need to drain. Everything is already cooked, just make it hot. The fajita seasoning takes care of everything. Add chips and whatever else that sounds good to you. I never have leftovers.

I keep sleeping through my alarm lately. >_>; I'll hit snooze once and then it's 2 hours later. Whoops.

I just think they're fun. They use big shapes and have good reference pictures so it's easy to crank them out quickly. =D
