@inatlaka: One time when I was 10 my uncle took me rock-hounding and he and his then fiance spent a ton of time trying to dig this little fossil out of this one hole and me being a 10 year old, got really bored and started walking all over the hill we were on. I looked down and by my feet was a huge piece of fossil with several small fossils in it and I picked it up and asked them if this is the kind of thing we were looking for. They were shocked that I'd found one like 3 times bigger than the one they were trying to get. And the best part? It was right above where they were digging xD The whole time xD They let me keep it and I think it's an awesome childhood memory xD
My mom joined us a few days later and did the same thing too xD with petrified wood. It was hilarious. I think they were pretty peeved over that xD
